What a treat this short video was Jack! Thank you for allowing us to see it! That engineer was running this train like a boss, I'm sure he's been running this engine for some time before this filming. Loved the fans gathering their pennies after the turn around.
Hi again Jack. A really great railfanning video. Appearantly that Engineer knew what was doing and got it up to Frostburg without stalling. I got a chuckle from all those people picking up their flattened penny's after the locomotive got off the turntable. Wonder if people do that anymore?
It was unreal how many people were picking up penny's. When 1238 was pulling on to the turntable, you could only see some putting them on the rail. Yah, the engineer did a fine job moving that thing up the grade to Frostburg.
Nice Classic Train Video Jack
Hopefully she will be running again one day on the Waterloo Central Railway.
Great vintage footage ! -Jenny
