- This is a quick video of the 1950s "tail fin" Kitchenaid mixer.
I got this off of ebay and I completely disassembled it, cleaned and relubricated everything, and put it back together.
This thing is built like a tank, and I'm sure it will last for years to come. - Наука та технологія
Nice job, it looks great and runs amazing! I didn't hear the noise you were referring to, but I am listening to it on a laptop with crap for speakers lol.
I love the way it sounds!!!
Sweet sound!!!
Very good!
Wow. This mixer is older than my parents
Ooh lookie there. Runnin like she's brand new.
Any idea where I can get a paddle that fits this model? I just got this for free and it seems to work great with the dough hook provided but the paddle they gave me with it seems too big. The new bowls seem wider at the base than this model.
How complicated is it to disassemble and lubricate? I just got a K5-A that looks to be the same time period
B Thomas be prepared for a couple of hours tops to just take your time and lay parts out neatly. You may use an entire roll of paper towels, the old grease is very messy. It's really not bad, most difficult part is knocking the pin out of the planetary housing to drop it down - these older ones can be pretty sticky in that area. It's not bad at all to be honest.
Anyone happen to have parts numbers for 4B?
That is quiet!
That thing sounds like it's from the 2020s
