Thanks Dennis for yet another great carving! I've often thought of using a dremel or another high speed rotary tool to clean up some of my knife marks and highlight some of the carvings details...but have always been a little leary... Now after watching your video, I think I'll give it a try! I'm sure others would also enjoy watching you demo a few others power carving details and look forward to seeing them! Again, THANKS for taking your time and expertise to make such great videos! Safe carving to you and yours ALWAYS!
Your welcome,If you decide to use one get a dust collector first. They make a terrible mess without one. Thanks for your kind words...Good luck with your carving...
Hi Denise. Thanks for sharing the video. Can you tell me what type of bit it is? I’m just starting to use a Fordham on my carvings. You have taught me so much. Thanks
Great video Dennis. I'm finding that as my arthritis becomes worse I'm having to switch more towards power carving and any pointers you can give would certainly be appreciated. I would love to see how you do an entire power carved figure.
Hi Dennis. I’m using my wife’s account-Laurie. My name is Chris. I received a Foredom line shaft carver for Christmas this year and would love to see some of your techniques. I’m just getting started with carving after about 40 years of woodworking; making furniture and small tables, postal banks, etc. I have been really enjoying your videos. Thank you.
Hi Chris,So far I have not done much power carving,so I am learning just like you. There was a couple good articles s in Woodcarving Illustrated magazines latest issue you should pick one up.I have waited until I got a dust collector to start due to the extreme amount of dust it creates..But stay tuned ,as I intend to make a power carving project as soon as I get it together..Thanks for your comment..
Thank you Dennis. I’ll try to pick a copy up. I’m looking forward to seeing more of your videos. If you come up with a good design for a dust collection system, perhaps you could make a video on your design? Have a great day.
Turned out great
