@@gideonsstuff, absolutely, there's something to be said about the confidence of cuts. And, it's the difference between keeping something in the case or giving it away over keeping and enjoying it.
Have you ever summited any of the Organs? Definitely some of the craggiest looking peaks in this country... I have wondered if the Recoil Lock might be somewhat easy to accidentally disengage because of how high & wide it sits on the spine of the handles?
I've never accidentally disengaged the lock. Yes, I have summited the Organs a few times. The highest point, Organ Needle, is one of the (if not the) toughest hikes in New Mexico. I've also done Baylor Pass a few times and the Bunny Ears. I don't have any footage of any of my climbs except the Bunny Ears. I made a few shorts about it a few months ago. 👍
@@gideonsstuff do you have any theories as to why CJRB doesn't use this lock on more of their knives? To me it would then appear to be superior to the seemingly ubiquitous button lock that pervades their entire lineup. Maybe it isn't, but I know that I personally have had button locks fail...
It’s on my radar now. I’ve never owned a cleaver blade. I’m impressed with how their D2 has held up and how well it cuts. Thanks
Highly recommended! This is a great knife 👍
I got the g10, love it, such a great size overall, as well as blade shape, so the lock, flipper, and ambi clippy make it even better.
I need a G-10 one. Those scales make such a difference!

Nice , you should try to make your own scales for this one ... Could be something you like
That's a really good idea...
perfect I carry the crag and the pyrite lite
Right on, man. Can't go wrong with either!
I think I would probably like the knife but I definitely don't like the handles 😕 🤔
Great review buddy 👍
Yeah, if yoou get one don't get the carbon fiber scales😂
