    I would NOT recommend a Snake Bite Kit. Snake bite kits Do NOT work, they are just a Gimmick.

    • @gideonsstuff
      @gideonsstuff День тому

      The vast majority of them, yes. I agree. The only real treatment for a snake bite is antivenom. But, I find myself deep in the backcountry very often. Hundreds of miles from a hospital and no cell phone service. If I am bit by a snake, I have a little kit where I can ease the pain, wrap it up, write down when I was bit and by what snake, and ease swelling. No suction, no blades. I should have clarified that and I should make a video about proper snakebite procedure! Thanks for watching!

    Thank you for sacrificing your eyes for our viewing angle buddy. Bottle cuts were cool, especially the first one where it hardly moved. That was a crazy snap, and that sliver that came off is a razor, haha. I love my spartan and it chews up all my unwanted yard foliage with ease, even though I know it's not a competition chopper. Hey, they're going for such short money, if my blade gives, I'll definitely buy another one. It has cool and intimidation factor if nothing else, I believe I got mine off 4m4zon for around forty five bucks with tax. Yeah I guess that break doesn't surprise me too much either. The hollow does get quite thin there. Likely the steel had gotten some microfractures in it from some previous use. That thin hollow on such a huge blade is why it's such a cool knife, but unfortunately takes away from its ability to chop. The hook on the end of the handle really makes you want to chop with it haha. Would be neat to have a flat/saber ground version that can handle some real abuse, though! Fortunately the Rajah II exists.

    I did some research for the camillus classic, to try and find out which 440 steel it uses, but I couldn't find anything. They list the HRC range as 54-56, so my best guess is that it's 440a, since that's a pretty normal range for it. Like, it could also be really soft 440b or c, for all I know, but 440a is the safer bet.
