Hi Nath, just wanted to say a huge thanks for all the time and effort that goes into your videos. You traverse some incredible countryside and mix it up with a variety of game. Have a Merry Christmas and a safe and happy New Year. Looking forward to what you have in store for us in 2023
A great haul on the rabbits and always good to thin out the myna population. Can't go wrong with an FX! Have made the myna population too educated around my place ,they don't hang around too long to get a shot off. Thanks for the vid, catch ya next time.
I love rabbits, but they don't belong in Australia and it's that simple. All blame belongs to the guy/people that brought them there. Glad you are an awesome sniper to do it as quick as possible.
Excellent work! I loved the estimation for that shot at 112 yards...*zot* right on the money. This is how to control pest species. Not with traps or poisons but a pro doing the business. Great work and keep it up!
Airguns were pretty cool when I was a kid. These days they're insane. For rabbits and other small game work like this, there's almost no need for a powder rifle. Amazing stuff.
Excellent shooting brother. 🎈🥳🎈Those rabbits seem like they're just short of a plague proportion. Someone needs to be doing this full time in your country. Many people.... in many areas.
Back in the 50's and 60's rabbit was regularly on the menu in my parents house. Nealy as common as chicken is today. I don't imagine with meat prices being as high as they are today that you had any problem finding homes for your haul. Well done.
Same here - as a 10 year old I would go out for rabbits 2 or 3 times a week. Browning .22 pump action rifle, my dad told me never to bring home anything other than a head shot rabbit. This haul would need a small truck :)
Dad tells the story of when he was a boy in Murrabit that his job was to come home from school and get 1 for the table and 1 for the dogs. He used a BSA Sportsman 15 in 22LR.
The thing with Mynas I've found is this; near my old house in Central Vic at very quiet location on a dirt road, Powercor replaced a wooden pole with a concrete one that happened to have a hole in it about 5m up. A group of Striated Pardalotes moved straight in perhaps within 10 days. Next thing you know Mynas moved in evicted (ate?) the Pardalotes and attacked all the small birds like Finches, Wrens in the whole vicinity of the pole and my house (Reed Warblers were still OK in the bullrushes). I have never ever seen Mynas here before that pole went in - not even once and I lived in that house 8 or 9 years before the pole was replaced - I digress. You'll never believe what happened next, the larger native birds like Sulfur Crested cockies, Rosellas and Lorikeets evicted the Mynas by constant pressure. They never let up. The cockies sat on the wires and dive bombed the kunce, the Rosellas attacked them directly as the cockies dived on them and the Lorikeets got in on the act. Cockies even attacked the Mynas as cars were coming and used the cars to run the Mynas over - pretty cool eh? Next thing you know the Mynas were gone and a beehive moved in. After that Powercorer fumigated the beehive and closed the hole. About 4 years later the small bird population recovered to their pre Myna levels. Life in the cuntry ay... Moral of the story local birds can and do keep Mynas under control if they have the chance.
Great shooting. I like the slo-mo shots. It really must be a black art to be able to judge that curving trajectory over varying distances and conditions. Plus lots of practice.
@@EDGEoftheOUTBACK Undoubtedly. You make it look easy. Does wind and air density have an effect, or is that less crucial over shorter distances? I'm a non-shooter as you could tell. I find it fascinating though. I'll have to do some research.
So many targets that air rifle is really a shooter. Congratulations on that hunting. Really never disappointed on you performance. Thank for the adventures.
What can I say other than spot on as usual Nathan, Loved how it appeared that you gave one of them a new parting in the hair between his ears. Keep up the good work.
That was just amazing, the rabbits looked to be in excellent health and well feed. You mentioned the Esky needing to be bigger. I assume that you will take a few for the plate. Brilliant feed for the family the ole rabbit. I have a Two Fat Ladies video, their English cooks, who have a great recipe for rabbit. Cheers
I haven't seen rabbit numbers like that for a while! On the properties I shoot you are lucky to see a couple of bunnies, the hares out number them 50:1. Great to see you whack a few Indian mynas (cane toads of the sky). There's no doubt we have plenty of work ahead of us to eliminate all the filthy ferals we've introduced into our beautiful country. Happy hunting!
It's your trigger finger I feel sorry for, must be tired after all that ;-) Great video mate, shows the reality of pest control without pulling punches. 112yds! Awesome long shot on that bunny........top-notch marksmanship.
I've never seen so many rabbits. They don't stand a chance with you in the neighborhood. I'd sure like to have a couple of those to put on my smoker. Another great video.
elmer fudd loves you for your pest control, those wascally wabbits :0) good shooting and plenty of lucky rabbits feet enough to last over and into the next year :0)

Amazing how satisfying the sound of the air rifle is. Australia needs 1000 more bloke like us here to sort these pests out! Nice work!

What a satisfying video to watch. That FX is a handy little rifle. Awesome shooting mate. Well done. 👌
Good bit of gear for sure, glad you enjoyed it 👌
Love all your vids, and especially seeing you add Indian Mynas to your hit-list makes a lot of sense.
They are little bastards of things. I'm always smiling when I can thin a few of them out 👌
