I've just bought a 2006 Daelim S-Five 50 yesterday. It runs perfect, starts on the first try every time. Acceleration is fantastic for the displacement. But it bogs. I already planned on overhauling the carb. But this is a problem I've had with every scooter I've ever had. It's really insane. I'm glad I'm not the only one
Mark . Still not running. My expert showed me the fuel pump isn't the problem . He's saying has been saying for a month now it's moisture in the fuel and a few other contaminants floating around . Took carburetor off completely disassembled cleaned ECT . Drained fuel tank in clear container it was moisture and some other debris especially in bottom . Letting all of set over night hopefully get back to it in the morning . I'm still a little worried that something else is wrong he's confident that's the problem . He showed me that one of the jets had a particle on it . Tomorrow is the last day off before going back to work after 2 weeks off. Thanks to you I'm letting the battery charge . Hopefully in 2 or the months I'll be bugging you with question about a Honda Shawdow and someone else will have China's finest . Thanks again . Happy New Year .
Sounds to me like the main jet is too big (or small). when you crank the throttle open too much air is rushing in and making conditions too lean (main jet too small) same can happen if main jet is too big once cranked open too much fuel is sucked through causing the bogging down. move the needle up or down to see if it gets better or worse when cranked open then it will give you a guide if the main jet is too big or small. hope this helps
I have an exact issue, speedfight 2 50 with code, i have replaced cdi with no code (with one connector aftermarket) and cleaned carburetor, replaced stator, etc. And still bogging. New spark and new coil still same... Something strange, is it carburetor or else?

I have a aerox 50 2t with dellorto carb the bike kept cutting out while idling unless kept at high revs I adjusted the idle screw and the air screw and now it bogs out when pulling away . The top end is fine no bogging after 35/40 mph . I reset the air screw and the idle screw to where it was before and it is still bogging out ? Also takes ages to warm up a good 10 15 mins it has a sports pipe on it and polini high speed variator kit everything else standard. where do I go from here ?
hay Mark ... i've got a peugeot v clic 50cc ... its really slow ... OK i know its a 50cc and not going to break records or anything lol ... but its STUPID SLOW .. it will not go past 22 MPH ..i've cut the wire on the CDI (looped green wire) to de-restrict it, but its still the same., cant figure out what the problem is.. am guessing its something machinery wrong / clutch, belt, rollers ..etc.. any ideas ?
hi bud did you not watch my video on NOT cutting any wires on the cdi lol, what bike are we talking about !!but yes check your variator out more than likely it's your rollers so change them like in my videos best 6g and maybe change your belt that should get you going and back up to speed. thanks for watching and please like share and subscribe . mark

Did you ever fix this?? I had one exactly the same and the dealer couldnt fix it. Itd stood at the end of my yard so long ive just knocked the engine open the other day. It needs a full rebuild, bearings, crank, seals, head, piston, barrel.
renewed the carb but I was sure it was the bypass unit as I did both at the same time and it run fine but didn't want to mess around with it in case it stopped lol but as I said in my other videos sometimes they just don't want to run and it can drive you made !!!
Sometime soon i should be rebuilding the bike... I dont suppose you have a euro 2 type crank you wanna sell? New ones are ny on £80. I have a feeling you are right about the CDI unit, mine is all original but i had picked a few up from someone scrapping a few bikes and was binning the CDI's. I had been swapping them around testing them, and my own got mixed up amongst them. I have a feeling an older one was left on from a scrap bike! Time will tell when its rebuilt!
Hello mark , i have a issue i have fitted a 21mm carb to my moped running a yasuni r exhaust and 70cc kit the tone at full throttle deepens is this normal with a open air filter got a 105 main jet ?
I posted some things esrlier as P47Thunderbolt about a 50cc having bogging and not starting after a couple months of runnung and starting great. Finnaly got it running yesterday . I bought a new JandJ power sports adjustable carburetor .Still had a little idle and running problem . Friend checked valves and noticed exaust valve was tight with no play . Fixed that and now its back to its old self . Just thought i would post this for others having same problems . I thought valves may work loose not get tight. Thanks Marc for having a place to like this .

Got this problem to , its not a speedfight but i need help fixing it. Starts up nice and runs all good but just give it high revs and it just bogs out? Any idea!? Ive changed the carb not long ago
+Brad Bolton take it ,it didn't do it before, did you put back the old jet that it had before as that can be it .it is petrol so from the fuel going in float ( sticky float) to jet and air filter but it does drive you made, i'm working on a NRG at mo and was doing the same as I had changed the air filter , put the old one back on and away it went lol
Hi I have a interesting problem I have put a new piston and barrel in my speedfight after a seizure when the oil line came off it’s had a new carb and new spark plug fuel is good from the pump no leaks but when it runs flat out up to 40 50 mph it will bog but won’t die give it 3 seconds it will be fine till it next dose it 5 seconds later could it be oil seals going as they are leaking or have you come across this problem before thanks in advance Bryn.
bryn tidley is start with carb float Check out and clean the carb and make sure fuel is getting in ok Then check jet size as they can flood which will cause the same thing I’ve even as in my many videos over 70 on speedfights had it being the spark plug lol

Hi Mark I wondered if you can help me.. I have a ajs Modena 125.. or conversion 150 scooter coming up to three years old. I have had a los of power at high reves and engine struggling.. I ordered a new carburettor along with a fuel vacuum pump! Fitted all the fuel pipes new with no vacuum problems.. but no fuel seems to flow to carburettor! I removed the pipe near to the carb and the fuel started to flow very well ,'so i feel the carburettor is not allowing the fuel to pass' hence a blockage maybe! But it's all new. Could this problem be a jet that's far too restricting or maybe I need to alter the mixture screw that has a blanking cap ?? Hope you have some ideas.. ps I have for the meantime ordered a new variator kit with weights as some of the weights are flat.. ect.. cheers and thanks again. Gareth in Yorkshire Leeds..
Gareth Mason hi bud I’ve not worked on one and this like the 70cc kits on other bike is why I stay with the head size the bike came with As for yours it ran fine for all that time Take it’s it 4t? Have you checked the valves ? Changing the carb should help or upjet by 4 but you would need to adjust the air mix Maybe see it you can get it out or cut a line in it to adjust as all carb change over time and need some form of adjustment Hope that helps Mark
Hi Mark the last time I ran it it had been losing power and I had trouble starting it .. I presumed it was carb trouble.. however I have just popped out the spark plug to check the spark and found no spark at all... I have tried a replacement plug lead and spark plug and nothing.... Do CDI units pack up slowly until there is no spark? I have checked both inlet and exhaust valves also.. timing Spot on.. I once had a regulator unit get really hot and battery melted.. stunk of sulphur lol.. so I had to replace the regulator rectifier... And buy a new battery also.. I wondered if this might have affected anything like the CDI unit? Have you any knowledge mate thanks again.
Hi Mark well to be honest I found the runing problem not reving to top reves! It was the head gasket pissing compression in to the timing case area... The build up was quite high... And also I couldn't hear it but the exhaust pipe to head had been leaking as I could see carbun build up which had warped the exhaust outlet point on the alloy head.. I have driven seven thousand miles with it so I can't complain.. but what is not supprising is the CDI unit I bought from eBay. It threw me as it didn't create any spark at all...so refit old unit back... In the meantime I have ordered a complete new job lot as I wasn't sure that the rings were buggered too... Hope this helps to others diagnosis of scooter problems.. regards Gareth

Sorry if you mentioned in your videos ,do you have a brand recommendation for replacement carburetor to replace stock one in my 49cc 4 stroke Chinese scooter ? It's running good but idling varies on it . Some say since it's stock just to replace it . I've replaced the headlight bulb , mirrors , vacuum and fuel . Might as well the carb. Thanks
hi bud to be honest you would only be replacing it with one that would be the same, as long as it runs ok i'd leave it you could up jet it just a small up jet around 4, guessing its a 17.5 so you could go up to 19 but being a 4t carb you are not going to get much more out of it make sure it's 6 half tunes out but see where the screw is first just in so you can put it back, most have adjustments on the carb and cable so that should help with the idle i have videos on tuning but not really on the 4t card as they seem to work or die lol i have a few 4t moped videos you might like to watch on my channel thanks for watching mark
@@marksavage ,thanks . I'll probably just leave it . Ive decided to do my upgrading to a Honda , Suzuki or Yamaha . Mabey a Kymco scooter. Just worry about being stranded in the cold . But I've put almost 600 miles in less than a month no problems . Just minor annoyances . Some say replace plug due to a low quality plug in these Chinese machines. I took the factory installed plug out , it was a NKG . Thanks again .
hey mark, my scooter also ''bogs down'' slightly when full throttle, but not always and its not really that of an issue, but i do have another one, when i go full throttle at the beginning my scooter shoots away perfectly, but at 30-40 km/h the RPM drops and then barely accelerates. same when going full throttle, going about 80 km/h and then no throttle, and when trying to pick up throttle again it just goes to really low RPM and not being able to accelerate. is this more carb-engine related? or is it the variator? i think its the variator rear main spring being too loose, so i need to get a stronger spring in there. any thoughts?
look at both bud but it's more likely carb as in the main jet , try giving it a good clean and check fuel / air pipes fit ok and have not gone hard. take of variator and check rollers / clean. it will all help. thanks for watch check out my other videos and please like share and subscribe . mark
i have recently cleaned out my carb completely, and like 2 weeks ago i changed my rollers and even made then 0,1 gram lighter, this did the job for a bit but now it wants to bog down again. i think the variator rear push spring is just... well done.
Hi Mark! My Speedfight 1999 which i've had for a good 8 years now have recently started to struggle with hill climbs (i didn't put on that much weight lol, i'm only 75 kg or so). At full throttle it does fine on flat roads, but it will come to a stop if the hill is steep enough and go really slow up mediocre hills. I watched (and liked) about all your videos and decided to take it apart myself. Quickly found out that the variator was bust (casing was shattered) and that the rollers needed changing. Got a new variator and rollers (using 7,5 gram) and the problem was still there. Changed the belt, same problem. Checked the clutch. Figured the central clutch spring was spent, so i replaced it. Same problem. Got new stuffing for the muffler as the old one was a lump of oily charred fibers. Same problem! I already cleaned the carbonator about a year ago, so i don't think that this is the problem. Got a new air filter as well. Any idea what could be causing all this?
EJHEJHx2 wow well you have been busy lol , last thing really mate has to be the piston ! The rings can get loss and it will be ok but lose compression on demand ! Best change it bud and plug as it got to help and I'd still go for 4 and 8 rollers lol if it's starting fin it's not going to be your reeds or stator but maybe could do with a clean but start with the piston it's easy to sort out and follow my videos , thanks for watching them and hope they help , mark
I've got a Kymco Super 8 50cc 2t 2011 and I have a similar issue that was mainly down to a previous owner replacing the stock box air filter with a K&n. The carb on my bike is located on the left side of the back wheel so when it rains water and other bits of crap gets flung at it. Is there any way around this? I've seen smaller k&n's that have a plastic cup over the top but I fear that it restricts air flow.
you may know I hate the sponge air filters lol but however yes that is a way to stop water and crap going into the carb by putting a cup / tin around the air filter just make sure it is bigger than the sponge about a finger gap all around that will work well , thanks for watching my video's there are loads and please like and subscribe , thanks mark

odd !, only place I think to start with a 3 year old bike and only 3k on the clock and the battery dying would be the stator coil but odd to go with so little use, did you have an accident or water damage? have you look at the spark plug and tested for a blue spark, could be plug / ht coil worth a test first then stator coil bud as this does two things on your bike charge the battery plus timing ! hope that help please sub and like and I have may videos on mopeds around 150 that may help mark
Just bought 2007 expressway 250 cc yy250t replaces variator belt and spark plug changed all fluids at the start of driving it starts to bog or studder before catching speed could use your help thanks your videos help a lot thanks
when you changed the belt did you check or change the rollers like in my videos , they will always need looking at /resetting or changing this can be the problem so not just the carb but this may need looking at too, I have a few videos on 4t carb tuning and this may help ,6 half turns standard double check the service you did so to make sure you didn't forget something , tight plug ,air filter back on ok, ht cap on properly etc right size belt , clutch ok etc there all loads of videos on my channel that should help ok on 50cc and 125 but the basics are the same bud
Hiya Mark, If you could help me really quick it would be highly appreciated. I have a 2t Piaggio Zip and I’ve been having a few problems with it. It starts up fine but then it tends to not go over 20mph and splutters a little bit. I took the carb off and cleaned it and the jets. I then looked at the reeds but they looked fine to me. The manifold also looked good. As i was looking through the bike I saw the fuel hose was cracked and split so that’s now been sorted. I have replaced the belt and that hasn’t fixed it either. Any idea on how to sort it? It has a 74 jet and a Yasuni Z exhaust. Thanks again Mark.
hi bud that was a good find with the fuel pipe often people forget to look at the fuel pipes so both pipes changed cleaned carb with carb cleaner all ok auto choke working fine and not staying on the right air box on so jet size this maybe the problem often people forget it can be too big and you are flooding the carb have you checked the plug and colour of the plug try if all others are ok to down size as this may help
Hiya, I have a Honda engine'd 50cc go kart for my little boy. It runs well when cold.. But after 30mins it cuts out like a fuel issue. I've changed the spark plug, brand new battery, new fuel lines new fuel filter. Checked but not cleaned the carb. Not sure where to go now? Thankyou
I guess it 2t ? may have something to do with it getting to hot and once cools down it goes again? so could be like heat seizing or the electrics getting to hot coil/stator failing at heat? if it was fuel don't think it would go for 30 mins bud but they do have small fuel tanks lol

Hi there I have a Yamaha BWS 2 stroke I had the same problem with mine not too long ago. Have you checked the Air flow of the Carb Ajust the air screw I had to do mine for about a week say four days or so I had very bad bogging for a well couldnt understand what the hell the problem was. You can hear it normally its sucking to much air which means your bike is running lean. 2 Stroke engines must run rich all the time lots of smoke is what you want to see come out of the exhaust.
Hello, i have aprilia sr50 3gen. It idles flawlesly, but when i give it a throttle, not even going forward, max i go to 2500 rpm slightly giving throttle , giving it more bogs out and stalls.

Now i got it to work, i swapped efi to carb, the problem was simple, the prop which came in carbs place when i had efi, it has to be pluged and full throttle on that body, where ends throttle cable.. But now i have another problem. Exhaust is shooting like a gun, more i ride, more it shoots till it doesnt move forward, only exhaust shooting. What could cause the problem? Maybe i need to clean exhaust or put another mass cable, thanks. :)
U alright mate I bought a benelli 49x yesterday and it was running perfect, it was loosing abit of power I have tried starting it today and it won't go over 3000-4000rpm then it boggs out and Cuts out, I cleaned the carb yesterday it worked better than ever but a few mins after I had the same problem all over again, any suggestions?
the last owner must have known it was doing this so a message to him would be a good start however if when you cleaned the plug it ran better for a bit id say tuning like in my tuning video the air petrol mix is wrong and either too rich or weak so when you clean the plug it runs then fouls the plug up again when you go for a ride id get a new plug clean the air filter / change then tune, sure it will sort it bud give it a good check over too will your doing it
@@marksavage I cleaned the carb and the jets and it ran perfect for a few mins then it just went back to bogging again, I haven't changed no spark or even took it out tbh so that would be a start
@@sambalshaw8298 so spark plug was good as in nice coffee colour? not black or really white ? have you tuned it yet like in my tuning videos whats the air filter like is the fuel getting in ok so like the carb float letting fuel in to what you are using fuel lines ok /
U alright mate my problem had nothing to do with any of them, my airbox had a hole init when I cover the hole it revs fine so in just waiting for a new one to see if it is the problem
Hi i have a 50cc Speedfight 2. I serviced the carb, put racing variator and a air filter. The bike starts straight away it also revs but at full throttle it boggs down? I think its a problem with the air/fuel ratio but im not too sure. Any ideas please?
ali gdf yes your right , what air filter are you using and do you have the link pipe connected? Also what size jet have you got in the carb ? Norm is 54 maybe also try going up or if to big back down this will help too , please like share and subscribe , mark
Hayup mark pal, just a quick question, iv a 50cc sachs 2T moped, though you i did all the checks ect, alls good. New belt, new roller weights, 5.8 gramm. Im getting ok top end. 55 kmh. Ok. I have Piaggio zip 2t going 40mph max speed with 17.5mm carb derestricted leovince tt exhaust 5.5G malossi rollers malossi x Kevlar belt, is there anything I could do to get it quicker also my jet is 86 in my carb, would a new air filter or derestricted cdi off of pedparts help do the job?
I have a few videos on the zip worth a watch but to be fair 40 to 45 is a good speed for these little ped 86 jet is massive !! Does it dog down ? Rollers are OK but I use 6g A sport air filter may help then a tune Bud
@@Keeptalkingg so you are not using the standard carb ? I only go up in 4s and tune and test bud just seems big but if not bogging its on then just tune like in my video and on a zip Type in zip mark savage
@@marksavage I had standard carb but it was running horrible and run out of 2 stroke so I bought a new carb and got derestricted sports exhaust and put the new carb in and ordered a 86 jet to put in, but I have a derestricted cdi on the way aswell so hopefully increases speed

these mopeds are 4t but does sound like petrol problems, you say new? you don't mean brand new or id be taking it back to the shop, maybe give the last owner a ring and ask them did it do it before try a good old service , new plug ,air filter and flush out the fuel check float as they can stick and clean jets ,check air mix 6 half turns all this info is in my videos and they will help mark
Mark. Its the dummy from USA again . Scooter been running terrible . I've been doing trial and error on the throttle cable . I be if it's running a lot better . That make sense ? I noticed the other day it had worked loosed at the carburetor . I adjusted at the carburetor and at the grip . thanks .
@@marksavage still having problems. Its hard to start. Dies when i stop. Im going to see if vacuum is the problem. The one vacuum line that comes off a "Y" connector i pulled it off the petcock and the idle speed picks up . The line has vaccuum. Mabey a choke problem. Im afraid im going to reamout the head one of those little screws holds the choke its in so tight. I was bragging how good it was running . What i get
hey i have a 2016 taotao 50cc with 100cc big boar kit installed. after installation it ran great for 10mins. the stock carburetor and manifold were kept in during this test drive. but after this test drive i guess what is called, bogging out, occured when i pulled on the throttle. so what i did first was install a bigger carburetor and manifold. the issue didnt leave. so i upgraded the cdi,sparkplug cover, cold intake, and flywheel fan, but no nothing! whats next??
just watched a video of what bike you have so it looks like a zip and I guess it's 4 t , did you sort the valves out and head down ok . im only guessing bud but I'd start over and check that some thing on install hasn't failed but would of changed the carb airfilter and exhaust as you would need to get more in and out with a 100cc. than a 50cc. but it not luck maybe refit the 50cc head and bits and see if it runs again ? hope that help's bud but not worked on one before ,mark
Ok so i almost forgot to get back to you! So i checked the valves and right away i found the problem. the bottom screw nut was completely missing! i guess i didnt tighten it enough when i replaced it back then. so right away i replaced the screw and nut and BAM!! restored power. no more bogging. but theres sumthin still missing. as im driving, it feels like power is being held captive! the take off is good but no continual increase in power. so ima up jet my main jet and idial jet this coming week!

Daniel Sturman carb which should. One with it really as the 50 and 100 cc are very different along with the air box and manifold , oh and the speedo won't go to 70 mph lol bud it will be fine , I've done it a few times bud , have fun
Hello mark, I have a 49cc CPI scooter. I raised the gas nedle and is coming more jet but it keeps bogging . Whats the problem? The stock air filtre? The carburateur? Please help me . I cant fix this problem . When i start the moped and ride it for 500 meters it has no problem , after it gets hotter it starts to bogg.

One more thing. I took the main fuel line going to carburetor off. Bumped starter no fuel is moving through line . The line with fuel filter is full of fuel . Is that the problem ?
George Jennings if it is starting and dying it is fuel / air so carb / vacuum problem Have you checked the reeds ? They can mess around if not fully closed ! Have you tested the vacuum with it off without the pipes to it like two pipe and suck
@@marksavage i disconnected the vacuum line blew into it no fuel moved through line . Its gotten steadily worse . No fuel is going through the fuel pump for sure unless im over looking something. Do 4 strokes have reeds ?
The first symptoms started about 2 weeks ago randomly dying . occasionally hard to start. Now its flat out not running . Seems like a fuel pump may go bad in stages like that . But No way of being sure .

George Jennings when did you last check the valves It could be piston failure You have serviced it so not plug and air So again check the vacuum and on the carb as 4 t if it has one as not sure what carb but as you have that twin air thing guessing it just a normal carb Is the plug getting wet and a good clear blue spark ?
@@marksavage i sure enough put wires on wrong . I replaced the plug with an ebay special iridium so i thought i would check spark . i decided to put the old plug back in it the spark seemed more intense . Think I didnt do any damage . Spark was pretty good IMO . The original plug with about 1300 miles on it looked good . Thanks for reply and all help .
hello mark if the immobiliser on a speedfight 50cc is broke will it get a spark. my bike has a spark then a nothing then spark then nothing. do you know what could be wrong?
that's odd best take off the panels and check all the wiring first before buying another cdi or bypass as I guess that's more likely but change plug check coil/ht lead and that you have power coming from stator coil as it's checks you can make without hard work lol, check out my other videos for good advice and help ,thanks for watching bud please like share and subscribe
ye i am going to check the wiring as cdi bypass is expensive if not needed. wire have been chopped by previous owner but ran fine.. head ache to figure out. il have a look and let you know. thanks for the quick reply.
hello mark i have checked the wires on my bike an seem ok.. but there is power from the stator but no power getting to the 2 wires that go to the coil. any ideas where to start because im no good with electrics.
hello mark i have checked all the wires and managed to find the immobiliser light wires.. reconnected them and the light flashes and when i turn the key the red light stays on solid.. i think when the battery went flat the immobiliser has kicked in.. i only have 1 black key with a chip in it.. is there a way to reset it or do i need a new immobiliser bypass.?
hey I have a 125cc moped and my bike has a similar kind of problem as when I start my bike up for the first time that day unless I keep a constant flow of petrol going into the engine the bike cuts out on me until its warmed up, after 10 minutes of riding and just sitting there holding the throttle back slightly it will run fine and not cut out again until I start it the next day please help whats wrong?
maybe a service is all that is needed - airfilter & plug ( if it/s 4t then top up or replace the oil) bud, however you can adjust the idle screw on the carb to up it a bit so it runs faster. hope that helps I do a carb video the basics are the same on 2t and 4t maybe give that a good clean as well. . please like my videos that help. mark

Hi mate watched all your videos about bogging down however my moped backfires when you rev it up and its almost like it is misfiring but I have cleaned the flywheel pick up sensor however have had no improvement any other thoughts would be greatly appreciated Thanks Matt
what moped are we talking about , however still most of the time it still come down to the carb and tuning / jet size so too much fuel getting in, do you know what jet size you have in the carb plus have you watched my tuning videos they will help, what air filter do you have on, recent service?
Hello mate ,I've tested my speedfight and its fine today since I've put back original cleaned carb without the emulsion tube or the inch long tube below the main jet ,the mind boggles with these scooters because I repair and put these back on the road again or buy and sell but what a pain in backside they can be yet I love these overweight 50cc scooters ,I am allways looking to buy secondhand non runners or mot failures Mark plus give you a drink if you can put me on to any , I prefer the 50cc ac ones over ther water cooled speed fights , I don't mind buying parts ,and don't mind traveling to pick them up ,I could do with a 100cc speedfight ac 2 if there's one about ,I think you added me on what's app Mark , cheers keep the vids up and happy new year bud ,
with out the tube the fuel can come into the carb as the needle will not stop it and too much fuel will go in and when you open it up it floods so bogs down, that would be my best guess bud , 100cc sp2's just don't sell well and I don't really deal in them, much harder to sell lol, give me a shout on whats app bud just so I remember you lol. thanks for watching . mark

hi mark i have a 7 week old baotian 49 cc pulse scout 49 from pulse motors.com it was not running right and yes it was bogging down, saw your video on possible causes what i did to fix after first working out that it was asking for a load of petrol past 3 to 4000 rpm, so i took out the needle{which is adjustable} and moved the clip -washer-and rubber seal to a point on the needle to allow more fuel in to the system at the right time, after doing this and touching nothing else, i started the bike and adjusted the idle, low then mixture as high and as smooth as possible then raised the idle again till it was just less than wheel movement, then took it for a road test of 3 to 5 miles, at all throttle settings on the grip wide open slowly, wide open fast, and both at 1/4 increments, BINGO it works so thanks for the video and tips on this annoying problem, dave
Hi there Mark, I was hoping you wouldn't mind helping me with getting my Chinese 2 stroke bicycle up to speed. This is what I have ; (66/80cc GT80) from gasbike.net. This thing has never went pass 29 mph. It came with a rse valve, but I've recently changed the top end and put a regular cylinder & NT carb. I also put a expansion chamber banana exhaust /w xport. Still it does go over 29mph; and now it bogs. Will you help me
hi some bikes are restricted by the CDI unit the brain of the bike !, so what ever you do it won't help and by changing the air and petrol intake will slow it down or bog down!, look into another sports cdi unit check out the wires on yours and try and find one with the same wiring , I do have over about 100 videos on lots of mopeds maybe some might help, thanks for watching please like share and subscribe .mark
hello mark, help desperately needed my bike is a baotian pulse scout 49 @49cc 2016, inside drive case there is the rotating clutch with a raised pickup bit on the outside . the electric part and magnet have now been moved from the top in a recess to inside at the bottom, so refitting the bell raises a problem, you can only adjust the gap when it is back together but no where to do it from WHY DO I MENTION THIS,????? HOW THE HECK DO YOU ADJUST IT USING CREDIT CARD 4 MM
hi , I've never worked on one before bud, think you may need to look for some video's on here as I've not seen the part you are talking about and I guess it's 4t and speedfight's and the ones I've worked on don't have and magnet parts just springs and pads , sorry mate but being 2016 it should have warranty! if it's not working bring it back

Hello sir. having problems with 08 Fly il Bello 150cc. has been running fine. Now will only go 10 or 20 miles an hour bogs out takes a while to restart. I replaced the carburetor CDI box selenoid and everything. Still nothing. Any ideas? Thank you
would of said the carb but have you looked at the piston, is it 2t or 4t? as if 4t could be valves??. on 2t you can still get compression but could be gone down the side and rings!. can't hurt checking variator / rollers. hope that helps mark
I was hoping u wouldn't say that . I'm not to mechanically inclined. What is 2T or 4T? Do you mean four stroke? Yes it is. If I break down the engine what do I look for?
jim crabtrey oh ok bud yes four stroke= 4t and 2t you have to add oil , if your not the best playing with engines a 4t is not one to play with for a first timer best pop it into a garage bud . Mark
best guess is it's carb !, has it always done this ? have you changed anything?. maybe for now give it a good clean like in my carb clean videos, check the fuel lines and make sure the float is not stcuk or blocked jet. thanks for watching , mark
So i have completely stock daelim s-five 2005 or 2006 model, which has been actively used and been running great until today. Drove it yesterday with zero problems, but today when driving to the grocery store, it suddenly died just as i turned into parking lot and slowed down. Was then unable to start the engine or it would just die right after starting. If i let it cool down a little it would start easily like normal, but as soon as it warms up it will just die at low RPM. If I on the other hand give it full throttle, then no problem at all but as soon as speed drops to below 40km/h with less than full throttle, then it will start having issues. If the speed is further dropped to around 20-30km/h or lower, then it will act as if ignition is completely switched off and I am forced to constantly pump the throttle just to keep it going at all. Any idea what could be the problem?? I find it strange how it went from running perfectly to having these issues after a short drive...
this does happen and can be a few things but like in my moped videos, check list first last time you serviced it? plug , air filter, check oil it coluld be carb so take off clean like in my other speedfight videos as a carb is a carb 2t or 4t you can still get to the underside and clean it is it get petrol in ok, check and see like in the videos about fuel coming out and stopping and check pipes are ok 2t or 4t? if 4t then check engine oil, however on the top of a 4t carb it has a vacuum system check that not damager or worn and replace this should save you a lot of £ / $ s before going on to the bi stuff hope that help please do check out my other videos as they should still help and like share and subscribe , mark
Forgot to mention this, but it is a 2t engine. I hate to admit this, but it really has had no service at all except for changing out a rusty exhaust pipe and the kickstand, so it is kind of a miracle it has served me so well. But what I have checked is air filter which looks nearly new and have also used a little bit of anti condensation fluid to see if it could be moisture in the fuel. I am going to try swapping out the sparkplug today, but I kind of doubt that is the issue as it does not look that bad. I am also a complete noob, so I have never dared to touch anything myself like cleaning out the carb. I had talked to someone who would help me get the front brake pads swapped, as well as change the gear oil as I know that needs to be done and now sadly got this issue that has to be fixed first.

I have some good news.. Had someone clean the carb for me and it turns out it was some particle affecting the float. After cleaning that out it now runs like it did before. :)
Hi I have a Kymco Super 9 and I have a problem with the rear wheel, before it was bogging down when I tried to accelerate and now the back wheel stopped spinning, I have changed the Rollers, could it be the clutch? it like revs but not loud and the wheel spins in idle but when I accelerate it doesnt spin at all, the belt is fine, rollers are new and I dont know what could be wrong, either piston rings or Clutch springs? please help.
Hi , ok one check at a time bud, to test your clutch I do show you how in a few of my other video's but see it you can pull it away from the other side as it needs to be tight, more likely to be carb or piston bud, it is 2t ? go with giving the carb a good clean and the air filter maybe change plug and test for a good spark , does it start ok? do all these before worrying about the piston, hope that help I do have other videos on cleaning carb and plug test , mark

I have a weird case of boging down i drive it for 1 2 miles then it bogs down and starts too shut down if i stay on the gas it will turn of but if I release the gas and bleap it a2 3 times it goes no problems again for 1 2 miles and so on I took apart the whole engine and carb and all cleaned up nothing changed the spark plug nothing I apologize for my poor english
hiya Mark I have a problem with my sukida 125 sportsman 2 chinese bike my bike has been running fine since the last couple of weeks but last night went out on it had the headlights on and started it up fine and rode for about 10mins and then it bogged down and now it won't start I checked the battery i removed it and charged it up all night and it still won't start up can you help please I topped up the oil and it's fine I checked the vacuum lines aswell it just makes that noise when pressed the brake and electric start and it won't fire up
you will have to start with spark at the plug? is it wet after you turn it over? if ok then move to petrol to the carb? maybe service and clean carb then compression ? did you let it run very low on oil? , I have worked on Chinese bike but if it's not the basics they tend to be a lot of work and money! watch my other videos on spark and fuel / carbs they are all the same give or take bud and please like the ones that help you may take a while to look through so a cuppa will help lol. mark
I have a speedfight has stage 6 70cc kit on it don't know what else is on it has standard carb some times it runs ok for a bit then other times it's bogging on set off have to rev a few times to get going
I never like putting 70 kits on them as I do bad they can just a fast as a 50 but if you have put a 70 cc on it you should be looking at a 21m carb sports exhaust race air filter bigger variator and race clutch then it should run ok

hi bud I have over 70 speedfight videos and 150 on other mopeds all worth a watch, the best way is to weigh the old roller weights and go from there but normally 6g's is the best all round for both pull away and top end remember to clean the variator like in my variator videos, they will help

it will be carb but so maybe air mix will help, has the jet been played with as this is normally what it is , but change plug clean air filter and check air mix, as in my videos 3half 2t 6 half 4t hope that helps, please like and sub and I have many more videos that may help mark
Hi mate watched loads vids trying fix my brother in law's SF 50cc as I'm normally ok with bikes. Am I right in if the bike has spark it's not an imobilizer issue as I have read about this imobilizer bypass. I've always known if it's got compression and spark fuel she will run but I'm getting nothing not a splutter even with easy start (which I don't normally use) I can send a small video if required
RICHARD Kerman it normal to get spark compression but still the piston can be gone bud , give that a look sure that's what it normally is , try the carb wet hand test as in my other videos as may be oil seals or even reeds ? Hope my other videos help and please like share and subscribe Mark
mark savage I've had the Barrel and head off the piston and rings are fine also blows my.thumb off the spark plug hole I'm old school and.never worked on bikes with an imobilizer this bike has good spark on the head it's AC version just can I hell as get it to fire or even splutter
did you try the hand over the carb to see if you get a wet hand as in my other videos?? this tell you if the oil seals are ok!. they really can take it out of you sometimes bud I know lol but if you have spark then immob is fine , how is your carb this is most of the probs with these ?. mark

brilliant videos mate do you know what would cause my speedfight to rev up fine on the stand but when off the stand it will only go up to 2500rpm an not go anywhere I'm thinking clutch or something
+noberts2k9 more like carb still bud give it a good clean as in my other videos on carb cleaning and wash the air filter and make sure it's not sucking in air any way, check the jet and how is your exhaust as if it's letting to much out and there's no back pressure ??

When my moped is cold, ill start it and as i try to pull away, i have trouble accelerating away for a few seconds. As i pull away the bike sounds like it’s coughing and a bunch of smoke comes out the back and then it clears its throat and is perfectly fine. Anyone know what this could be? Its only a year old

hiya I got a sukida 125 sportsman 2 I just changed the cylinder head on it and put everything back together like exhaust and everything went to ride it and it lasted for about 10mins then when I full throttled it, it sounded boggy and loss of power then it stopped and now it won't start when I push the electric start and brake lever can you help mate ??
Has it seized ? Did you reconnect the oil pipe and was it getting in to the pot , I sit water or air cooled ? Why did you change it in the first place , mark
I'm not sure mate how can I tell if it's seized or not I rode it for 10mins fine then next minute it went boggy and stopped then when I tried to start it it wouldn't start
+Aaron Whitlock is it turning over ? , check fuel getting in and spark first , take out plug clean it and turn over and check if plug is wet ? If ok then take off head of its air cooled it will be easy and no prob to see if top off piston is ok ! But could be something simple so do the easy stuff first mate
ok im going to have to say it , STOP doing burn outs lol it doesn't do the moped any good and you will need a new tyre soon lol its going to be you carb / fuel lines /float due to you top ending it and then nothing maybe clean your idle jet and give the carb a good clean change the fuel line and give it a new plug and air filter others just enjoy riding it
Shaun Kynaston not sure what you mean bud , once you take off the speedfight airfilter box you just undo the 3 screws and replace or wash clean and out it back on , maybe check out a few others of my videos and that may help with what you are asking Mark
AGAIN ? ok bud the carb I have a few videos on carb have a good watch of them in one a I do a apart 1 and 2 and talk about where the pipes go on a DNA and aerox and speedfight best have a look but there are only a few pipes oil petrol and vacuum ! maybe they will help mark
I used to but like yours I could fix it and go wrong 3 weeks later and then people get upset so I stopped doing it as it's only a hobby, but anyway maybe like you said your take it to a garage and they can sort it with little cost as you have done most of the work lol , take care and hope you get it sorted :) . mark

what air filter do you have on ??, if it's a sponge one they suck in water and stop your bike running or have you got a cover behind the plug to stop water getting on to the HTlead this also stops your bike running, check them out but let it dry sure it will be fine today but you do need to sort it if it is these two things. please like share and subscribe , mark

+finley rowe maybe . check the coil and lead/cap for power, you may have got water into the stator coil that would also give you no spark! and would have to dry out ,never jet wash bud just hand lol

mark savage yes mate apart from one day the pipe going from head to air filter was blowing wet stuff so I had to take it off but then it just backfires all the time but it seems to be ok like the first 2 mins I ride it
Ok bud not sure I get you? Belt holder , is that the clutch or variator as they are the two parts that hold on the belt !, I have a video on how the variator works and others about the system . Give me a bit more info mate
+Joe Taylor ok if it's the clutch and its bent that's not good nor do I get how it would be ! Any any it's connected to the gearbox spindle and that may need replacing but see if you can get it off first as I may have been fitting incorrectly . Is it running ok ? I guess it got lots of vibration ?

Ive tried looking at others but cant find it, it does exactly what this one does. Ive cleaned the carb and air filter and i also put a new fuel tap in because i thought it wasnt getting enough fuel but its still doing it. Everything on the bike is stock but its done over 100,000 km
Hello Sir Mark, This is probably the 8th video I've watched (but 1st one of yours, really like in fact) in the last day or so in between adjusting, tuning, turning, and tweaking and of course test riding a 49cc off brand Chinese scoot that is about this [----] far from going up in flames in the ditch as I've just moments ago got the idea to do heh. I look forward to watching more of your video. subscribing ago so well of course. don't know your history or much but did note you saying you're somewhere post op healing something your leg/knee area. wish ya speedy recovery etc. thanks again for the information video. 1 quick question, 1 of the other videos I watched was on adjusting the placement of the clip on the needle inside under the diaphragm cover that you held up in this video. that video I'm speaking of was poor done. anyway went to check mine and noticed no o ring on mine. c clip and 3 position options yes but no o ring. do some carbs not use one? or did previous owner of my scoot perhaps lose or forget it? I have picked up a replacement, does it go under or over c clip during assembly. oh BTW mine also does not have the small tab and screw that I've seen some do some don't. Thank you so much.
hi bud my knees are ok now well to the best they are going to be. yes some of my videos were a bit shit due to poor phone camera but hope they are better now!! ok the clip on the needle should be there and in the middle if running ok leave it there if not you can move it up of down to get the best running if you can no adjust the air mix then this is another way of trying to ort it but most do has this adjustment and as in my videos it's 3 half turns out and again adjust to get the best running I've been there as you know where I wanted to set the bike on fire but leave it for a day and go back to it sure your fix it thanks for the comment and sub's that's all I ask and to share to help others mark
I’ve been watching your videos for a while now really helpful but I can’t see to solve my problem I have a speed fight 2 50cc lc and the problem is it when It warms up a bit it loses all power gets to about 20mph and will only get to 30mph it used to do 55mph please help

mark savage it’s all good this is the problem I’ve tried all your little tips but I think the engine is losing power I just don’t know what needs to be replaced somebody said engine gaskets
as you know I dont love 70cc kits and this is why, but it's not just the jet its tuning too which I have videos on bud over 70 speedfight videos that will help plus bogging down can be too big of jet or too small so getting it right can be a pain get a pack of 10 jets and play till you find the right one remembering 56 was standard

mark savage I just bought a gilera runner 50 sp but I have issues starting it and when it does start it bogs and cuts out. It goes sometimes but when accelerating it bogs and slows and speeds up and cuts out in the end anyway.
that's ok ,when did you last service it? clean carb?, check float and both jets sounds like fuel so also check fuel pipes and vacuum I have videos on cleaning the carb also service videos mark

Hi I know I'm very late but I been working on my scooter for days and still can't find the problem, I changed the fuel filter,fuel valve,CDi box , even the air/pilot jet, but its a 50cc 2 stroke Yamaha vino clone , and the problem I'm having is , it starts right up, I ride it down the street, as soon as I get over about 30 mph and let go if the throttle it sound exactly like as if you were to hit the kill switch then if I pull the throttle it bogs down and cuts off, if anyone can comment or post a video on what the problem could be itd be greatly appreciated
Daniel Thompson hi bud I’ve had this on another bike It was the stator coil going to earth one it go warm Check out the voltage or take it off and ch clean it If your fuel s fine and cdi not cutting out then I’d check the stator but make sure the earth is connected Hope that helps Please like share and check out my other videos Mark
My ped just won’t start unless I pull the throttle when I kick it and when I let go of the throttle it stops running and when I ride it it goes like a snail

Hello Matk first time seeing your video. But it could be a weak stator. Everything else is fine. Could also be the timing of the valve set. But put in a new stator a leave off from there. Your problem might be amps are not strong enough! :) good luck on your next scooter pal! ;)

Now varistors can wear out 2500miles n what's better n why 3 he's or four..,? I have a jun 2021 boom mvp 50 does bout fifty usually now can of worms kinda..... Advice welcomed ..I did the washer trick on front variator .should have her top end ...how do I bypass the speed or rpm gov (pink wire clip off of computer???
Same fixed belt n took off goofy airbox now carb so finicky n if I roll on bogs at 4000 if I kinda floor it faster seems twork Thu it but w my weiet should go better plz advize

My scooter is a Peugeot django about a year old 50 c.c had it derestricted but it loses power sometimes when I turn it off and on again it's fine bit just don't understand it anyone got any ideas

I've just bought a 2006 Daelim S-Five 50 yesterday. It runs perfect, starts on the first try every time. Acceleration is fantastic for the displacement. But it bogs. I already planned on overhauling the carb.

Mark . Still not running. My expert showed me the fuel pump isn't the problem . He's saying has been saying for a month now it's moisture in the fuel and a few other contaminants floating around . Took carburetor off completely disassembled cleaned ECT . Drained fuel tank in clear container it was moisture and some other debris especially in bottom . Letting all of set over night hopefully get back to it in the morning . I'm still a little worried that something else is wrong he's confident that's the problem . He showed me that one of the jets had a particle on it . Tomorrow is the last day off before going back to work after 2 weeks off. Thanks to you I'm letting the battery charge . Hopefully in 2 or the months I'll be bugging you with question about a Honda Shawdow and someone else will have China's finest . Thanks again . Happy New Year .
49cc smokers are very sensitive to change. Air filters, air leaks, incorrect a/f mixture, incorrect plug gap can all contribute to W.OT bogging down.
Sounds to me like the main jet is too big (or small). when you crank the throttle open too much air is rushing in and making conditions too lean (main jet too small) same can happen if main jet is too big once cranked open too much fuel is sucked through causing the bogging down. move the needle up or down to see if it gets better or worse when cranked open then it will give you a guide if the main jet is too big or small. hope this helps
I have an exact issue, speedfight 2 50 with code, i have replaced cdi with no code (with one connector aftermarket) and cleaned carburetor, replaced stator, etc. And still bogging. New spark and new coil still same... Something strange, is it carburetor or else?

I have a aerox 50 2t with dellorto carb the bike kept cutting out while idling unless kept at high revs I adjusted the idle screw and the air screw and now it bogs out when pulling away . The top end is fine no bogging after 35/40 mph . I reset the air screw and the idle screw to where it was before and it is still bogging out ? Also takes ages to warm up a good 10 15 mins it has a sports pipe on it and polini high speed variator kit everything else standard. where do I go from here ?
hay Mark ... i've got a peugeot v clic 50cc ... its really slow ... OK i know its a 50cc and not going to break records or anything lol ... but its STUPID SLOW .. it will not go past 22 MPH ..i've cut the wire on the CDI (looped green wire) to de-restrict it, but its still the same., cant figure out what the problem is.. am guessing its something machinery wrong / clutch, belt, rollers ..etc.. any ideas ?
hi bud did you not watch my video on NOT cutting any wires on the cdi lol, what bike are we talking about !!but yes check your variator out more than likely it's your rollers so change them like in my videos best 6g and maybe change your belt that should get you going and back up to speed. thanks for watching and please like share and subscribe . mark

Did you ever fix this?? I had one exactly the same and the dealer couldnt fix it. Itd stood at the end of my yard so long ive just knocked the engine open the other day. It needs a full rebuild, bearings, crank, seals, head, piston, barrel.
renewed the carb but I was sure it was the bypass unit as I did both at the same time and it run fine but didn't want to mess around with it in case it stopped lol but as I said in my other videos sometimes they just don't want to run and it can drive you made !!!
Sometime soon i should be rebuilding the bike... I dont suppose you have a euro 2 type crank you wanna sell? New ones are ny on £80. I have a feeling you are right about the CDI unit, mine is all original but i had picked a few up from someone scrapping a few bikes and was binning the CDI's. I had been swapping them around testing them, and my own got mixed up amongst them. I have a feeling an older one was left on from a scrap bike! Time will tell when its rebuilt!
Hello mark , i have a issue i have fitted a 21mm carb to my moped running a yasuni r exhaust and 70cc kit the tone at full throttle deepens is this normal with a open air filter got a 105 main jet ?
it will be sucking in more air now so yes it will deepen , as long as its running fine all is ok
I posted some things esrlier as P47Thunderbolt about a 50cc having bogging and not starting after a couple months of runnung and starting great.
Finnaly got it running yesterday . I bought a new JandJ power sports adjustable carburetor .Still had a little idle and running problem . Friend checked valves and noticed exaust valve was tight with no play . Fixed that and now its back to its old self . Just thought i would post this for others having same problems .
I thought valves may work loose not get tight.

Got this problem to , its not a speedfight but i need help fixing it. Starts up nice and runs all good but just give it high revs and it just bogs out? Any idea!? Ive changed the carb not long ago
+Brad Bolton take it ,it didn't do it before, did you put back the old jet that it had before as that can be it .it is petrol so from the fuel going in float ( sticky float) to jet and air filter but it does drive you made, i'm working on a NRG at mo and was doing the same as I had changed the air filter , put the old one back on and away it went lol
Hi I have a interesting problem I have put a new piston and barrel in my speedfight after a seizure when the oil line came off it’s had a new carb and new spark plug fuel is good from the pump no leaks but when it runs flat out up to 40 50 mph it will bog but won’t die give it 3 seconds it will be fine till it next dose it 5 seconds later could it be oil seals going as they are leaking or have you come across this problem before thanks in advance

Check out and clean the carb and make sure fuel is getting in ok
Then check jet size as they can flood which will cause the same thing

Hi Mark I wondered if you can help me.. I have a ajs Modena 125.. or conversion 150 scooter coming up to three years old. I have had a los of power at high reves and engine struggling.. I ordered a new carburettor along with a fuel vacuum pump! Fitted all the fuel pipes new with no vacuum problems.. but no fuel seems to flow to carburettor! I removed the pipe near to the carb and the fuel started to flow very well ,'so i feel the carburettor is not allowing the fuel to pass' hence a blockage maybe! But it's all new.
Could this problem be a jet that's far too restricting or maybe I need to alter the mixture screw that has a blanking cap ?? Hope you have some ideas.. ps I have for the meantime ordered a new variator kit with weights as some of the weights are flat.. ect.. cheers and thanks again. Gareth in Yorkshire Leeds..

Have you checked the valves ?
Changing the carb should help or upjet by 4 but you would need to adjust the air mix
Maybe see it you can get it out or cut a line in it to adjust as all carb change over time and need some form of adjustment

Hi Mark the last time I ran it it had been losing power and I had trouble starting it .. I presumed it was carb trouble.. however I have just popped out the spark plug to check the spark and found no spark at all... I have tried a replacement plug lead and spark plug and nothing.... Do CDI units pack up slowly until there is no spark?
I have checked both inlet and exhaust valves also.. timing Spot on.. I once had a regulator unit get really hot and battery melted.. stunk of sulphur lol.. so I had to replace the regulator rectifier... And buy a new battery also.. I wondered if this might have affected anything like the CDI unit? Have you any knowledge mate thanks again.
Hi Mark well to be honest I found the runing problem not reving to top reves!
It was the head gasket pissing compression in to the timing case area... The build up was quite high... And also I couldn't hear it but the exhaust pipe to head had been leaking as I could see carbun build up which had warped the exhaust outlet point on the alloy head..
I have driven seven thousand miles with it so I can't complain.. but what is not supprising is the CDI unit I bought from eBay.
It threw me as it didn't create any spark at all...so refit old unit back...
In the meantime I have ordered a complete new job lot as I wasn't sure that the rings were buggered too...

yes bud I should help others and ive had this with the head before, me if you have the head done now and its running ok id leave it till it starts playing up again as sometimes they just never run right after!

Sorry if you mentioned in your videos ,do you have a brand recommendation for replacement carburetor to replace stock one in my 49cc 4 stroke Chinese scooter ? It's running good but idling varies on it . Some say since it's stock just to replace it . I've replaced the headlight bulb , mirrors , vacuum and fuel . Might as well the carb. Thanks

to be honest you would only be replacing it with one that would be the same, as long as it runs ok i'd leave it
you could up jet it just a small up jet around 4, guessing its a 17.5 so you could go up to 19 but being a 4t carb you are not going to get much more out of it
make sure it's 6 half tunes out but see where the screw is first just in so you can put it back, most have adjustments on the carb and cable so that should help with the idle

Just worry about being stranded in the cold . But I've put almost 600 miles in less than a month no problems . Just minor annoyances . Some say replace plug due to a low quality plug in these Chinese machines. I took the factory installed plug out , it was a NKG . Thanks again .

my scooter also ''bogs down'' slightly when full throttle, but not always and its not really that of an issue, but i do have another one, when i go full throttle at the beginning my scooter shoots away perfectly, but at 30-40 km/h the RPM drops and then barely accelerates. same when going full throttle, going about 80 km/h and then no throttle, and when trying to pick up throttle again it just goes to really low RPM and not being able to accelerate.
is this more carb-engine related? or is it the variator? i think its the variator rear main spring being too loose, so i need to get a stronger spring in there. any thoughts?
look at both bud but it's more likely carb as in the main jet , try giving it a good clean and check fuel / air pipes fit ok and have not gone hard. take of variator and check rollers / clean. it will all help. thanks for watch check out my other videos and please like share and subscribe . mark
i have recently cleaned out my carb completely, and like 2 weeks ago i changed my rollers and even made then 0,1 gram lighter, this did the job for a bit but now it wants to bog down again.
i think the variator rear push spring is just... well done.

My Speedfight 1999 which i've had for a good 8 years now have recently started to struggle with hill climbs (i didn't put on that much weight lol, i'm only 75 kg or so). At full throttle it does fine on flat roads, but it will come to a stop if the hill is steep enough and go really slow up mediocre hills.
I watched (and liked) about all your videos and decided to take it apart myself. Quickly found out that the variator was bust (casing was shattered) and that the rollers needed changing. Got a new variator and rollers (using 7,5 gram) and the problem was still there.
Changed the belt, same problem.
Checked the clutch. Figured the central clutch spring was spent, so i replaced it. Same problem.
Got new stuffing for the muffler as the old one was a lump of oily charred fibers. Same problem!
I already cleaned the carbonator about a year ago, so i don't think that this is the problem.
Got a new air filter as well.
Any idea what could be causing all this?
EJHEJHx2 wow well you have been busy lol , last thing really mate has to be the piston ! The rings can get loss and it will be ok but lose compression on demand ! Best change it bud and plug as it got to help and I'd still go for 4 and 8 rollers lol if it's starting fin it's not going to be your reeds or stator but maybe could do with a clean but start with the piston it's easy to sort out and follow my videos , thanks for watching them and hope they help , mark

I've got a Kymco Super 8 50cc 2t 2011 and I have a similar issue that was mainly down to a previous owner replacing the stock box air filter with a K&n. The carb on my bike is located on the left side of the back wheel so when it rains water and other bits of crap gets flung at it. Is there any way around this? I've seen smaller k&n's that have a plastic cup over the top but I fear that it restricts air flow.
you may know I hate the sponge air filters lol but however yes that is a way to stop water and crap going into the carb by putting a cup / tin around the air filter just make sure it is bigger than the sponge about a finger gap all around that will work well , thanks for watching my video's there are loads and please like and subscribe , thanks mark

odd !, only place I think to start with a 3 year old bike and only 3k on the clock and the battery dying would be the stator coil but odd to go with so little use, did you have an accident or water damage?
have you look at the spark plug and tested for a blue spark, could be plug / ht coil worth a test first then stator coil bud as this does two things on your bike charge the battery plus timing !

Just bought 2007 expressway 250 cc yy250t replaces variator belt and spark plug changed all fluids at the start of driving it starts to bog or studder before catching speed could use your help thanks your videos help a lot thanks
when you changed the belt did you check or change the rollers like in my videos , they will always need looking at /resetting or changing
this can be the problem so not just the carb but this may need looking at too,
I have a few videos on 4t carb tuning and this may help ,6 half turns standard
double check the service you did so to make sure you didn't forget something , tight plug ,air filter back on ok, ht cap on properly etc
right size belt , clutch ok etc

If you could help me really quick it would be highly appreciated. I have a 2t Piaggio Zip and I’ve been having a few problems with it. It starts up fine but then it tends to not go over 20mph and splutters a little bit. I took the carb off and cleaned it and the jets. I then looked at the reeds but they looked fine to me. The manifold also looked good. As i was looking through the bike I saw the fuel hose was cracked and split so that’s now been sorted. I have replaced the belt and that hasn’t fixed it either. Any idea on how to sort it? It has a 74 jet and a Yasuni Z exhaust.

that was a good find with the fuel pipe often people forget to look at the fuel pipes
so both pipes changed
cleaned carb with carb cleaner all ok
auto choke working fine and not staying on
the right air box on
so jet size this maybe the problem often people forget it can be too big and you are flooding the carb
have you checked the plug and colour of the plug
try if all others are ok to down size as this may help
Hiya, I have a Honda engine'd 50cc go kart for my little boy. It runs well when cold.. But after 30mins it cuts out like a fuel issue. I've changed the spark plug, brand new battery, new fuel lines new fuel filter. Checked but not cleaned the carb. Not sure where to go now? Thankyou
I guess it 2t ? may have something to do with it getting to hot and once cools down it goes again? so could be like heat seizing or the electrics getting to hot coil/stator failing at heat? if it was fuel don't think it would go for 30 mins bud but they do have small fuel tanks lol

Hi there I have a Yamaha BWS 2 stroke I had the same problem with mine not too long ago. Have you checked the Air flow of the Carb Ajust the air screw I had to do mine for about a week say four days or so I had very bad bogging for a well couldnt understand what the hell the problem was. You can hear it normally its sucking to much air which means your bike is running lean. 2 Stroke engines must run rich all the time lots of smoke is what you want to see come out of the exhaust.

Hello, i have aprilia sr50 3gen. It idles flawlesly, but when i give it a throttle, not even going forward, max i go to 2500 rpm slightly giving throttle , giving it more bogs out and stalls.

Now i got it to work, i swapped efi to carb, the problem was simple, the prop which came in carbs place when i had efi, it has to be pluged and full throttle on that body, where ends throttle cable.. But now i have another problem. Exhaust is shooting like a gun, more i ride, more it shoots till it doesnt move forward, only exhaust shooting. What could cause the problem? Maybe i need to clean exhaust or put another mass cable, thanks. :)
U alright mate I bought a benelli 49x yesterday and it was running perfect, it was loosing abit of power I have tried starting it today and it won't go over 3000-4000rpm then it boggs out and Cuts out, I cleaned the carb yesterday it worked better than ever but a few mins after I had the same problem all over again, any suggestions?
the last owner must have known it was doing this so a message to him would be a good start
however if when you cleaned the plug it ran better for a bit id say tuning like in my tuning video
the air petrol mix is wrong and either too rich or weak so when you clean the plug it runs then fouls the plug up again when you go for a ride
id get a new plug clean the air filter / change
then tune, sure it will sort it bud
give it a good check over too will your doing it

Hi i have a 50cc Speedfight 2. I serviced the carb, put racing variator and a air filter. The bike starts straight away it also revs but at full throttle it boggs down? I think its a problem with the air/fuel ratio but im not too sure. Any ideas please?

I have Piaggio zip 2t going 40mph max speed with 17.5mm carb derestricted leovince tt exhaust 5.5G malossi rollers malossi x Kevlar belt, is there anything I could do to get it quicker also my jet is 86 in my carb, would a new air filter or derestricted cdi off of pedparts help do the job?
I have a few videos on the zip worth a watch but to be fair 40 to 45 is a good speed for these little ped

these mopeds are 4t but does sound like petrol problems, you say new?
you don't mean brand new or id be taking it back to the shop, maybe give the last owner a ring and ask them did it do it before
try a good old service , new plug ,air filter and flush out the fuel
check float as they can stick and clean jets ,check air mix 6 half turns

Mark. Its the dummy from USA again . Scooter been running terrible . I've been doing trial and error on the throttle cable . I be if it's running a lot better . That make sense ? I noticed the other day it had worked loosed at the carburetor . I adjusted at the carburetor and at the grip . thanks .

Im going to see if vacuum is the problem. The one vacuum line that comes off a "Y" connector i pulled it off the petcock and the idle speed picks up . The line has vaccuum. Mabey a choke problem. Im afraid im going to reamout the head one of those little screws holds the choke its in so tight. I was bragging how good it was running . What i get

hey i have a 2016 taotao 50cc with 100cc big boar kit installed. after installation it ran great for 10mins. the stock carburetor and manifold were kept in during this test drive. but after this test drive i guess what is called, bogging out, occured when i pulled on the throttle. so what i did first was install a bigger carburetor and manifold. the issue didnt leave. so i upgraded the cdi,sparkplug cover, cold intake, and flywheel fan, but no nothing! whats next??
just watched a video of what bike you have so it looks like a zip and I guess it's 4 t , did you sort the valves out and head down ok . im only guessing bud but I'd start over and check that some thing on install hasn't failed but would of changed the carb airfilter and exhaust as you would need to get more in and out with a 100cc. than a 50cc. but it not luck maybe refit the 50cc head and bits and see if it runs again ? hope that help's bud but not worked on one before ,mark
Ok so i almost forgot to get back to you! So i checked the valves and right away i found the problem. the bottom screw nut was completely missing! i guess i didnt tighten it enough when i replaced it back then. so right away i replaced the screw and nut and BAM!! restored power. no more bogging. but theres sumthin still missing. as im driving, it feels like power is being held captive! the take off is good but no continual increase in power. so ima up jet my main jet and idial jet this coming week!
check your rollers bud they can stick or be damaged and this can also cause that. mark

Hello mark, I have a 49cc CPI scooter. I raised the gas nedle and is coming more jet but it keeps bogging . Whats the problem? The stock air filtre? The carburateur? Please help me . I cant fix this problem . When i start the moped and ride it for 500 meters it has no problem , after it gets hotter it starts to bogg.

One more thing. I took the main fuel line going to carburetor off. Bumped starter no fuel is moving through line . The line with fuel filter is full of fuel . Is that the problem ?
George Jennings if it is starting and dying it is fuel / air so carb / vacuum problem
Have you checked the reeds ?
They can mess around if not fully closed !
Have you tested the vacuum with it off without the pipes to it like two pipe and suck
@@marksavage i disconnected the vacuum line blew into it no fuel moved through line . Its gotten steadily worse . No fuel is going through the fuel pump for sure unless im over looking something. Do 4 strokes have reeds ?
The first symptoms started about 2 weeks ago randomly dying . occasionally hard to start. Now its flat out not running . Seems like a fuel pump may go bad in stages like that . But No way of being sure .

I replaced the plug with an ebay special iridium so i thought i would check spark . i decided to put the old plug back in it the spark seemed more intense . Think I didnt do any damage . Spark was pretty good IMO . The original plug with about 1300 miles on it looked good . Thanks for reply and all help .
ADJUST THE VALVES. I replaced carb and CDI due to bogging out with no results. I finally checked the valves. The exhaust valve was too tight.

that's odd best take off the panels and check all the wiring first before buying another cdi or bypass as I guess that's more likely but change plug check coil/ht lead and that you have power coming from stator coil as it's checks you can make without hard work lol, check out my other videos for good advice and help ,thanks for watching bud please like share and subscribe

hello mark i have checked all the wires and managed to find the immobiliser light wires..
reconnected them and the light flashes and when i turn the key the red light stays on solid..
i think when the battery went flat the immobiliser has kicked in.. i only have 1 black key with a chip in it..
is there a way to reset it or do i need a new immobiliser bypass.?
hey I have a 125cc moped and my bike has a similar kind of problem as when I start my bike up for the first time that day unless I keep a constant flow of petrol going into the engine the bike cuts out on me until its warmed up, after 10 minutes of riding and just sitting there holding the throttle back slightly it will run fine and not cut out again until I start it the next day please help whats wrong?
maybe a service is all that is needed - airfilter & plug ( if it/s 4t then top up or replace the oil) bud, however you can adjust the idle screw on the carb to up it a bit so it runs faster. hope that helps I do a carb video the basics are the same on 2t and 4t maybe give that a good clean as well. . please like my videos that help. mark

Hi mate watched all your videos about bogging down however my moped backfires when you rev it up and its almost like it is misfiring but I have cleaned the flywheel pick up sensor however have had no improvement any other thoughts would be greatly appreciated

what moped are we talking about , however still most of the time it still come down to the carb and tuning / jet size so too much fuel getting in, do you know what jet size you have in the carb plus have you watched my tuning videos

Hello mate ,I've tested my speedfight and its fine today since I've put back original cleaned carb without the emulsion tube or the inch long tube below the main jet ,the mind boggles with these scooters because I repair and put these back on the road again or buy and sell but what a pain in backside they can be yet I love these overweight 50cc scooters ,I am allways looking to buy secondhand non runners or mot failures Mark plus give you a drink if you can put me on to any , I prefer the 50cc ac ones over ther water cooled speed fights , I don't mind buying parts ,and don't mind traveling to pick them up ,I could do with a 100cc speedfight ac 2 if there's one about ,I think you added me on what's app Mark , cheers keep the vids up and happy new year bud ,

with out the tube the fuel can come into the carb as the needle will not stop it and too much fuel will go in and when you open it up it floods so bogs down, that would be my best guess bud , 100cc sp2's just don't sell well and I don't really deal in them, much harder to sell lol, give me a shout on whats app bud just so I remember you lol. thanks for watching . mark

when you fitted the engine did you service it and look at the variator system & rollers , clean carb?

i have a 7 week old baotian 49 cc pulse scout 49 from pulse motors.com
it was not running right and yes it was bogging down, saw your video on possible causes
what i did to fix after first working out that it was asking for a load of petrol past 3 to 4000 rpm, so
i took out the needle{which is adjustable} and moved the clip -washer-and rubber seal to a point on the needle
to allow more fuel in to the system at the right time, after doing this and touching nothing else, i started the bike and adjusted the idle, low then mixture as high and as smooth as possible then raised the idle again till it was just less than wheel movement,
then took it for a road test of 3 to 5 miles, at all throttle settings on the grip wide open slowly, wide open fast, and both at 1/4 increments, BINGO it works so thanks for the video and tips on this annoying problem,

Hi there Mark, I was hoping you wouldn't mind helping me with getting my Chinese 2 stroke bicycle up to speed. This is what I have ; (66/80cc GT80) from gasbike.net. This thing has never went pass 29 mph. It came with a rse valve, but I've recently changed the top end and put a regular cylinder & NT carb. I also put a expansion chamber banana exhaust /w xport. Still it does go over 29mph; and now it bogs. Will you help me
hi some bikes are restricted by the CDI unit the brain of the bike !, so what ever you do it won't help and by changing the air and petrol intake will slow it down or bog down!, look into another sports cdi unit check out the wires on yours and try and find one with the same wiring , I do have over about 100 videos on lots of mopeds maybe some might help, thanks for watching please like share and subscribe .mark

help desperately needed my bike is a baotian pulse scout 49 @49cc 2016, inside drive case there is the rotating clutch with a raised pickup bit on the outside . the electric part and magnet have now been moved from the top in a recess to inside at the bottom, so refitting the bell raises a problem, you can only adjust the gap when it is back together but no where to do it from

hi , I've never worked on one before bud, think you may need to look for some video's on here as I've not seen the part you are talking about and I guess it's 4t and speedfight's and the ones I've worked on don't have and magnet parts just springs and pads , sorry mate but being 2016 it should have warranty! if it's not working bring it back

Hello sir. having problems with 08 Fly il Bello 150cc. has been running fine. Now will only go 10 or 20 miles an hour bogs out takes a while to restart. I replaced the carburetor CDI box selenoid and everything. Still nothing. Any ideas? Thank you
would of said the carb but have you looked at the piston, is it 2t or 4t? as if 4t could be valves??. on 2t you can still get compression but could be gone down the side and rings!. can't hurt checking variator / rollers. hope that helps mark

Hi mark, my cpi aragon gp 50 starts and runs fine up until 6000 revs then it just bogs down and cuts out. any idea on how to fix this?
best guess is it's carb !, has it always done this ? have you changed anything?. maybe for now give it a good clean like in my carb clean videos, check the fuel lines and make sure the float is not stcuk or blocked jet. thanks for watching , mark
So i have completely stock daelim s-five 2005 or 2006 model, which has been actively used and been running great until today. Drove it yesterday with zero problems, but today when driving to the grocery store, it suddenly died just as i turned into parking lot and slowed down. Was then unable to start the engine or it would just die right after starting.
If i let it cool down a little it would start easily like normal, but as soon as it warms up it will just die at low RPM. If I on the other hand give it full throttle, then no problem at all but as soon as speed drops to below 40km/h with less than full throttle, then it will start having issues. If the speed is further dropped to around 20-30km/h or lower, then it will act as if ignition is completely switched off and I am forced to constantly pump the throttle just to keep it going at all.
Any idea what could be the problem?? I find it strange how it went from running perfectly to having these issues after a short drive...
this does happen and can be a few things but like in my moped videos, check list first
last time you serviced it?
plug , air filter, check oil
it coluld be carb so take off clean like in my other speedfight videos as a carb is a carb 2t or 4t you can still get to the underside and clean it
is it get petrol in ok, check and see like in the videos about fuel coming out and stopping and check pipes are ok
2t or 4t?
if 4t then check engine oil, however on the top of a 4t carb it has a vacuum system check that not damager or worn and replace
this should save you a lot of £ / $ s before going on to the bi stuff

Forgot to mention this, but it is a 2t engine.
I hate to admit this, but it really has had no service at all except for changing out a rusty exhaust pipe and the kickstand, so it is kind of a miracle it has served me so well.
But what I have checked is air filter which looks nearly new and have also used a little bit of anti condensation fluid to see if it could be moisture in the fuel. I am going to try swapping out the sparkplug today, but I kind of doubt that is the issue as it does not look that bad.
I am also a complete noob, so I have never dared to touch anything myself like cleaning out the carb.
I had talked to someone who would help me get the front brake pads swapped, as well as change the gear oil as I know that needs to be done and now sadly got this issue that has to be fixed first.
lol well the carb cleaning video on my site will help you clean it I have I think 5 odd on here on a few bike like the aerox speedfight and another one too 2t so maybe give it a go after changing the plug

I have some good news.. Had someone clean the carb for me and it turns out it was some particle affecting the float. After cleaning that out it now runs like it did before. :)
Hi I have a Kymco Super 9 and I have a problem with the rear wheel, before it was bogging down when I tried to accelerate and now the back wheel stopped spinning, I have changed the Rollers, could it be the clutch? it like revs but not loud and the wheel spins in idle but when I accelerate it doesnt spin at all, the belt is fine, rollers are new and I dont know what could be wrong, either piston rings or Clutch springs? please help.
Hi , ok one check at a time bud, to test your clutch I do show you how in a few of my other video's but see it you can pull it away from the other side as it needs to be tight, more likely to be carb or piston bud, it is 2t ? go with giving the carb a good clean and the air filter maybe change plug and test for a good spark , does it start ok? do all these before worrying about the piston, hope that help I do have other videos on cleaning carb and plug test , mark

I have a weird case of boging down i drive it for 1 2 miles then it bogs down and starts too shut down if i stay on the gas it will turn of but if I release the gas and bleap it a2 3 times it goes no problems again for 1 2 miles and so on I took apart the whole engine and carb and all cleaned up nothing changed the spark plug nothing I apologize for my poor english
hiya Mark I have a problem with my sukida 125 sportsman 2 chinese bike my bike has been running fine since the last couple of weeks but last night went out on it had the headlights on and started it up fine and rode for about 10mins and then it bogged down and now it won't start I checked the battery i removed it and charged it up all night and it still won't start up can you help please I topped up the oil and it's fine I checked the vacuum lines aswell it just makes that noise when pressed the brake and electric start and it won't fire up
you will have to start with spark at the plug? is it wet after you turn it over? if ok then move to petrol to the carb? maybe service and clean carb then compression ? did you let it run very low on oil? , I have worked on Chinese bike but if it's not the basics they tend to be a lot of work and money! watch my other videos on spark and fuel / carbs they are all the same give or take bud and please like the ones that help you may take a while to look through so a cuppa will help lol. mark
I have a speedfight has stage 6 70cc kit on it don't know what else is on it has standard carb some times it runs ok for a bit then other times it's bogging on set off have to rev a few times to get going
I never like putting 70 kits on them as I do bad they can just a fast as a 50 but if you have put a 70 cc on it you should be looking at a 21m carb sports exhaust race air filter bigger variator and race clutch then it should run ok

I have over 70 speedfight videos and 150 on other mopeds all worth a watch, the best way is to weigh the old roller weights and go from there but normally 6g's is the best all round for both pull away and top end
remember to clean the variator like in my variator videos, they will help

it will be carb but so maybe air mix will help, has the jet been played with as this is normally what it is , but change plug clean air filter and check air mix, as in my videos 3half 2t 6 half 4t

Hi mate watched loads vids trying fix my brother in law's SF 50cc as I'm normally ok with bikes. Am I right in if the bike has spark it's not an imobilizer issue as I have read about this imobilizer bypass. I've always known if it's got compression and spark fuel she will run but I'm getting nothing not a splutter even with easy start (which I don't normally use) I can send a small video if required
RICHARD Kerman it normal to get spark compression but still the piston can be gone bud , give that a look sure that's what it normally is , try the carb wet hand test as in my other videos as may be oil seals or even reeds ? Hope my other videos help and please like share and subscribe

mark savage I've had the Barrel and head off the piston and rings are fine also blows my.thumb off the spark plug hole I'm old school and.never worked on bikes with an imobilizer this bike has good spark on the head it's AC version just can I hell as get it to fire or even splutter
did you try the hand over the carb to see if you get a wet hand as in my other videos?? this tell you if the oil seals are ok!. they really can take it out of you sometimes bud I know lol but if you have spark then immob is fine , how is your carb this is most of the probs with these ?. mark

When my moped is cold, ill start it and as i try to pull away, i have trouble accelerating away for a few seconds. As i pull away the bike sounds like it’s coughing and a bunch of smoke comes out the back and then it clears its throat and is perfectly fine. Anyone know what this could be? Its only a year old

hiya I got a sukida 125 sportsman 2 I just changed the cylinder head on it and put everything back together like exhaust and everything went to ride it and it lasted for about 10mins then when I full throttled it, it sounded boggy and loss of power then it stopped and now it won't start when I push the electric start and brake lever can you help mate ??
Has it seized ? Did you reconnect the oil pipe and was it getting in to the pot , I sit water or air cooled ? Why did you change it in the first place , mark
I'm not sure mate how can I tell if it's seized or not I rode it for 10mins fine then next minute it went boggy and stopped then when I tried to start it it wouldn't start
I changed it because the exhaust stud was snapped mate so I brought a cylinder head for my bike

+Aaron Whitlock is it turning over ? , check fuel getting in and spark first , take out plug clean it and turn over and check if plug is wet ? If ok then take off head of its air cooled it will be easy and no prob to see if top off piston is ok ! But could be something simple so do the easy stuff first mate

My scooter is driving just fine but when l try to do a burnout or on a stand when l rev it up it bogs down till it dies
ok im going to have to say it , STOP doing burn outs lol it doesn't do the moped any good and you will need a new tyre soon lol
its going to be you carb / fuel lines /float due to you top ending it and then nothing
maybe clean your idle jet and give the carb a good clean change the fuel line and give it a new plug and air filter
others just enjoy riding it

Shaun Kynaston not sure what you mean bud , once you take off the speedfight airfilter box you just undo the 3 screws and replace or wash clean and out it back on , maybe check out a few others of my videos and that may help with what you are asking

what air filter do you have on ??, if it's a sponge one they suck in water and stop your bike running or have you got a cover behind the plug to stop water getting on to the HTlead this also stops your bike running, check them out but let it dry sure it will be fine today but you do need to sort it if it is these two things. please like share and subscribe , mark

mark savage yes mate apart from one day the pipe going from head to air filter was blowing wet stuff so I had to take it off but then it just backfires all the time but it seems to be ok like the first 2 mins I ride it

Ok bud not sure I get you? Belt holder , is that the clutch or variator as they are the two parts that hold on the belt !, I have a video on how the variator works and others about the system . Give me a bit more info mate

+Joe Taylor ok if it's the clutch and its bent that's not good nor do I get how it would be ! Any any it's connected to the gearbox spindle and that may need replacing but see if you can get it off first as I may have been fitting incorrectly . Is it running ok ? I guess it got lots of vibration ?

Ive tried looking at others but cant find it, it does exactly what this one does. Ive cleaned the carb and air filter and i also put a new fuel tap in because i thought it wasnt getting enough fuel but its still doing it. Everything on the bike is stock but its done over 100,000 km

Claire Welsh there's a clutch tool you can buy them off e bay but you can use a strap to hold it but it's a bit hard 😄

This is probably the 8th video I've watched (but 1st one of yours, really like in fact) in the last day or so in between adjusting, tuning, turning, and tweaking and of course test riding a 49cc off brand Chinese scoot that is about this [----] far from going up in flames in the ditch as I've just moments ago got the idea to do heh. I look forward to watching more of your video. subscribing ago so well of course. don't know your history or much but did note you saying you're somewhere post op healing something your leg/knee area. wish ya speedy recovery etc. thanks again for the information video. 1 quick question, 1 of the other videos I watched was on adjusting the placement of the clip on the needle inside under the diaphragm cover that
you held up in this video. that video I'm speaking of was poor done. anyway went to check mine and noticed no o ring on mine. c clip and 3 position options yes but no o ring. do some carbs not use one? or did previous owner of my scoot perhaps lose or forget it? I have picked up a replacement, does it go under or over c clip during assembly. oh BTW mine also does not have the small tab and screw that I've seen some do some don't. Thank you so much.

yes some of my videos were a bit shit due to poor phone camera but hope they are better now!!
ok the clip on the needle should be there and in the middle if running ok leave it there if not you can move it up of down to get the best running
if you can no adjust the air mix then this is another way of trying to ort it but most do has this adjustment and as in my videos it's 3 half turns out and again adjust to get the best running
I've been there as you know where I wanted to set the bike on fire but leave it for a day and go back to it sure your fix it

I’ve been watching your videos for a while now really helpful but I can’t see to solve my problem I have a speed fight 2 50cc lc and the problem is it when It warms up a bit it loses all power gets to about 20mph and will only get to 30mph it used to do 55mph please help

mark savage it’s all good this is the problem I’ve tried all your little tips but I think the engine is losing power I just don’t know what needs to be replaced somebody said engine gaskets
Hi is a 72 jet to big for 70cc kit got on take of bog but den go
as you know I dont love 70cc kits and this is why, but it's not just the jet its tuning too which I have videos on bud
over 70 speedfight videos that will help plus bogging down can be too big of jet or too small so getting it right can be a pain
get a pack of 10 jets and play till you find the right one remembering 56 was standard

I have had this before too, do you have a sports exhaust on or standard ?
Sometimes and yes I do hate them like I say often but just sometimes if you can’t tune or re jet a sports filter is the only answer

mark savage I just bought a gilera runner 50 sp but I have issues starting it and when it does start it bogs and cuts out. It goes sometimes but when accelerating it bogs and slows and speeds up and cuts out in the end anyway.
Hope I explained that properly lol I can video it if you need to see what's happening cuz I don't know what I'm on about lol
that's ok ,when did you last service it?
clean carb?, check float and both jets
sounds like fuel so also check fuel pipes and vacuum

I will check out your videos on cleaning the carb I haven't serviced it at all as only just got the bike I hope your videos will help me sort it as long as I know what the problems could be. Also do you know why the Speedo doesn't work it just stays on 0.
Hi I know I'm very late but I been working on my scooter for days and still can't find the problem, I changed the fuel filter,fuel valve,CDi box , even the air/pilot jet, but its a 50cc 2 stroke Yamaha vino clone , and the problem I'm having is , it starts right up, I ride it down the street, as soon as I get over about 30 mph and let go if the throttle it sound exactly like as if you were to hit the kill switch then if I pull the throttle it bogs down and cuts off, if anyone can comment or post a video on what the problem could be itd be greatly appreciated

I’ve had this on another bike
It was the stator coil going to earth one it go warm
Check out the voltage or take it off and ch clean it
If your fuel s fine and cdi not cutting out then I’d check the stator but make sure the earth is connected

Hello Matk first time seeing your video. But it could be a weak stator. Everything else is fine. Could also be the timing of the valve set. But put in a new stator a leave off from there. Your problem might be amps are not strong enough! :) good luck on your next scooter pal! ;)

Same fixed belt n took off goofy airbox now carb so finicky n if I roll on bogs at 4000 if I kinda floor it faster seems twork Thu it but w my weiet should go better plz advize

My scooter is a Peugeot django about a year old 50 c.c had it derestricted but it loses power sometimes when I turn it off and on again it's fine bit just don't understand it anyone got any ideas
