Goat Gang is a great group to be a part of. It is real school. Tigran does an amazing job of “making it happen.” I did my first install in 1981. Landscape is in my blood. This kids the real deal.. and you know, he’s not really even a landscaper. He’s a business man and master delegater. And a very good one. Mike is.. laughable. It’s obvious he wants what you have but doesn’t have what it takes to get it. So he tries to outsmart you online to feed his insecurities. If you’re reading this Mike.. follow Tigran’s direction. Get into gratitude and humility. And start chipping away learning construction work. You’re ego is standing in front or your success.

I dont know what to think about mike andes. I had the opportunity to talk to him for about 15 mins. But his "media team" reach out and make 10 questions and guess what??? He didnt answer any of them. I was really like just turned off. Ive been in the landscaping business for a while. I used to look up to him but i just cant anymore. I was making 6 k annually. Bought a new mower etc. I was just genuinely just irritated and felt alone. I just told one of my employees, i was like 🤷 well he was my last hope. But he didnt answer any. Genuinely disappointed

I've been in GG for almost 2 years now. The amount of money I gave T doesn't even amount to the amount of money I made off of jobs others in the group gave to me or work I've gotten because I come off as a more professional company than 90% of the other companies around me just from stuff I learned in the group.
Also, this whole $90k/m thing. Bro literally gives away whole ass trucks, trailers, excavators, etc. almost every month. He also does Christmas gifts. I never hear about Mike giving his franchisees members Christmas gifts or excavators.

Closed my first Backyard landscape remodel my first year in business as a “lawn care company”. Love you T, I agree I can’t stand it when I’m mowing lawns lol

I was a yard maintenance guy with 140 monthly accounts making $11k monthly. I steped it up and went into Commercial Landscape and Maintenance. My first year (2022) I made $870k and this year Ill be making $1.4 million. Lawn/yard maintenance is not the answer long term.
The MOMENT I saw that video from Mike, I just knew there'd be an Even Better response video that would shatter all of his talking points. The way he presents himself in his videos is way too condescending like he knows everything.

I've been in the business for a long time- don't know who the other guy is but T knows his stuff. His videos and business are legit. I joined goat gang 2 months ago and it's a great resource of people sharing experience and knowledge. Anyone hating on T is prob jealous. Try and do a 100k - 1m construction project and be profitable, you'll realize lawn care is basic and that's why it's basic money.
the other guy owns a lawn business 100 times bigger than Ts, 😂. what matters is the money , basic money is worth just as much as kool money.
I do what T does, but my business does more commercial projects which are worth a lot more because of the scale. I own my equipment i don’t rent or buy debt. half lf my stuff isn’t shiny or new but it gets the job done just as good as my new stuff. mikes tells people keep your operations cost low so you can scale your business
@@esexavo I think you missed the point of my comment. I was saying T is legit and there's really no need to hate on him. Seemed like the other guy was trying to say T doesn't actually have a real operation. Usually haters are jealous. I do both construction and lawn care, basic money meaning basic profit margins comparably. There's a reason why construction commands higher profits.
Scaling your business can be done successfully by saving cash and using debt, I watch a lot of companies do both, some make it and some don't. Glad you're doing well in your business with your stategy, though.

T was laughing about the situation when mike confronted him about it. that itself speaks of who t is as a person. He is a great sales person, like amazing at sales, but using debt alone to make a business is Dumb af. I also use both, but showing off shiny new stuff in my opinion just shows what you are inside. I can literally buy a lambo cash , thats just like 250k its not a lot yet I drive a 2013 fiesta, I own a home T rents , The bank doesn’t own my house, I am also developing 3 properties right now almost done with 2. self funded. I could get a loan, but I am not even close to being wealthy in order to use debt correctly.
No, I didn't see the video you are referring to. I agree with a lot of what you're saying. I also like what T does as far as sharing content and what goes on the the fb group. I don't know him personally so I can't comment on his character. Sounds like you're doing really well and that's great dude 👍 Shows there's a good balance of using saved funds and debt strategically.

Mowing lawns is stupid and repetitive. I own a lawn and landscape company and I hate the lawn days. I want out
This dude is legit, I’m watcher from way back when he used crushed rock granite looks so good in sunlight.
Everybody who has owned their own landscaping business knows there is no money in cutting lawns at $40-60 per cut and $800 per driveway for snow removal. But there is tons of money in interlocking/landscaping projects at $20 per sq ft. Tigran charges at least $24-$30 per sq ft for interlocking. Augusta barely gets $40-$50 per weekly cut and $600-$800 per season for snow removal. Augusta makes money off sales, their franchisee's make peanuts, who also front all the costs and overhead. Plus employees make way more money doing interlocking/landscaping projects than p4p doing everything themselves as a one man crew.
It is also funny how on big landscaping projects, customers pay extras no problem, rarely complain and treat you so well. You only have one invoice or one customer to deal with that month. With lawn care and snow removal you make so little, yet everybody complains about every little thing, never want to pay for extras, treat all employees like crap, and need to invoice and deal with so many horrible customers. Just look at Augusta's short videos with completely ridiculous customers!!!
You might make little revenue but profit % may be more. And it’s reoccurring
@peanut butter interior Lawn care is definitely less profit. But you're right, it is recurring. But tons of customers want to skip cuts or go to bi-weekly or monthly when it gets hot. And then it makes it not worth it. Most people for lawn care want to hire the cheapest guy, and with rising costs, the industry just isn't worth it anymore. You would be surprised with how many interlocking jobs they call you back for more work and refer you to neighbours and family
I watch both of you guys, now I’m not in the landscape game but I do pavers and asphalt. I get value from you both. I use to by piece of crap equipment just to go buy more garbage when it breaks down. I learned from you buy new or buy twice! I also know where to spend our money by order of importance

All our equipment and vehicles are paid for, with cash. Debt and huge overhead will kill every business. It doesn't matter how much revenue you generate, all that matters is your net profit.

I think that the reason both of your businesses are the size they are is because you both hustle! Also you both enjoy what you do. I believe Tigran enjoys being able to change the landscape of a property and completely change someone’s backyard into a oasis and Mike enjoys creating a empire of lawncare franchises and making it so if people follow his business model they can make a decent living moving lawns. It may not be the high life of a landscaper with a Lamborghini but that life isn’t for everyone because some of us would let that go to are heads if we got to that point. So that all being said is you all be you and keep creating the good content of trying to build up others with knowledge of how to grow what you both have accomplished and keep being honest and positive with everything you do and I believe you both will continue to succeed in what each of your rolls in life are. Most networks are free, they don't cost $97 a month to join, with additional $200 - $800 per class.
Networking for contractors are mostly done locally since construction is regulated locally for the most part. Landscaping mostly based in climate zone. Networking for California contractors with contractors from New York or Texas doesn't help anyone.
Most trade networking is done at trade classes provided by industry sponsors and hosted for free at local suppliers locations.
Never in construction history has anyone needed to pay an individual to network ??

Higher end maintenance companies trend towards horticulture maintenance and away from lawn mowing. Which pays a lot lot lot more : perspective none of those companies use hedge trimmers, everything is handled clipped so you don't have a bunch of unsightly half cut leaves.
It's important to fill in the gaps Tigren purposely leaves out to fully understand the conversation.
Lawn mowing doesn't pay, it's the lowest denominator. If that's true then how did FMA Landscape Services and Flora Terra Landscape management become multi million dollar businesses ???
So if you're downplaying Goat Gang, why charge SO MUCH for it? $1,200 a year from one subcriber for a monthly subscription. I personally didn't see enough content to warrant that. Not nearly enough. If you are really interesting in lifting up the community, why are you asking the community to give their hard earned money to gain that info? I mean, if you said all of these things in the first place, I'd still have no problem with it. But what you say and what you do need to make sense in totality. Agusta, Not only take the upfront cost of 6k-20k, They take a % from each job, month, ect, and in return they take phone calls... wow,
• You also then have to pay out of pocket for branding, Its worked into the first year setup %
• THEN when you grow your area so big and become so successful you want out because your monthly fee's are higher then 3f/t office employees + a rental building.... They keep your neighborhood, routes, customers, emails, setup a same day office near by and have another crew rolling that afternoon and leave you with nothing, buh bye, see yea, thanks for opting in, paying us AND letting us keep all your customers, routes ect..
Its amazing how you cannot see the scam that it is and how Mike preys on weak solo-duo operations and takes over there neighborhoods. He has videos of him parting ways with a franchisee due to costs and setting up shop in their neighborhood to keep "agusta" customers happy... They we never agusta customers, they were the other guys
