even if there were a difference, it only proves that there's variability - which is already known. It doesn't prove the variability is based on being a youtuber or not.

I am officially/hopelessly addicted to these PayDirt videos... Only got into them around a month ago, and I thought the entire concept was sort of silly at that time. So here we are a month later, and I absolutely love these videos and am seriously considering investing in some equipment and trying to learn how to pan gold with one of the cheaper kits. Just to get started you know? These PayDirt kits seem like a great way to give yourself an intro into gold panning, and to learn the form and technique for how to find gold before you move out near a river/nature and attempt it for real

Aren't you just gambling? Buying these dirt? Honestly how can they guarantee anything?
@@HDsharp Well in a way you are sort of gambling since there can be substantial differences in the amount of gold you could receive despite it being the same product. That being said, it's also clear that there is a minimum amount of gold in each of them, so that even if a person gets less than they were hoping for, they can't retaliate in any way because the minimum amount that was advertised on the packaging was met. If you dropped a few thousand dollars on one of these Paydirts and received little to no gold, you would have a pretty strong argument that you were scammed by false advertising, and basically had your money stolen since you wouldn't have gotten close to what you paid for, but I would bet my life savings there is fine print saying that there will be a minimum amount, and that there could be significant differences in the amount of gold from similar products.

This is great, I just got a couple bags from Goldbay this week. I have not opened the package but I will do it carefully now. This is my first time doing any panning, got the Garret Super Sluice as well. Thanks for the inspiration. Hey Shane, you should try the floating magnet from placer tools. Just put it in the pan and it grabs a decent amount of the magnetics while you stratify, comes in handy for dealing with sluice cons when they're still damp.

@@Klesh There is a lot of public land over here. I'm in northern California (Yuba/Auburn area). If you end up coming to my neck of the woods, I can show you some spots where you can get some decent gold. The Bear River is a pretty easy place to mine

I use my favourite 10 in pan and work 3 teaspoons at a time. The Scottish paydirt I bought for Christmas is very much like that, a lot of heavy materials.
Just proves that selling larger quantities of paydirt is more lucrative. They can increase their profit margins and the customer feels like they got a super a good deal. Very smart.
All that effort to find out it's a humming bird making noise... "Jet dry is just a surfactant, which reduces the tension of the surface of the water so little flakes of gold don't float away."

Also I have a couple of sluice fox pans with a set of deep ridges and a set of smaller ridges, if you know that brand what do you think about them?
There is a magnet that you can buy that attaches to a drill bit that you can use to separate magnetic material from wet paydirtIt runs underneath your pan and will drag the magnetics out and up for you to be able to remove
I reckon 'Mr. Decoy' might have opened it and taken a massive nugget for himself. :D
