    Hey Chris, sorry again for commenting on an old video buddy but this type of work simply blows me away🤯 I could see the metal getting straighter as you was slapping it down and you made it look so easy, totally admire your skill doing this mate 👏👍

    Can you spay primer over guide coat

    • @GarageNoise
      @GarageNoise  Рік тому

      I'll just tell I am not concerned with removing every little bit of guide coat before I primer. If you are tho just take a red or gray scuff pad and sand it a bit than clean and primer. I'm sure there's a wide range of opinions on this. Appreciate the support!

    Not really relevant to today's video, but just sprayed some Upol system 20 clear today for the first time. Fast activator. 66 degrees in garage. Iwata W400 lv2 1.3.
    So far its looking good. I got a nice clear reflection, 2 coats. Had no issues spraying it. I will see how it looks in a couple days. Still need to do a light wetsand and buff to remove some annoying specs(as usual) but minor. If it buffs out nice, then it's got my thumbs up for a budget priced clear.

      I think you'll like howit buffs. I typically buff it the next day with good results. Appreciate the support!

    Question on a different topic, on the 2 part white pearl, why can't you mix the pearl into the white in a different can and spray.

    • @GarageNoise
      @GarageNoise  Рік тому +1

      The pearl is translucent so you see the white under the pearl if you were to mix them together the pearl would not have the same effect. Appreciate the comment and support!

      320 to start than 600 before sealer or paint.

    I like to leave my primer set two to three days to try and give it time to dry out or shrink

    • @GarageNoise
      @GarageNoise  Рік тому

      If I could I probably would too. Being a collision shop I can only let it sit overnight. Appreciate the support!

    • @willsachs
      @willsachs Рік тому

      Couldn't agree more and had a lot of issues. A good infrared cure lamp like the "Speed Ray" eliminated them. Use it according to TDS and let it sit overnight afterwards if you can. All my shrink and die back issues are gone, and no more letting it sit for days or longer. Chris has one I seen in his other videos.
