I'm always so grateful, at 71 years old, that I experienced th e phenomenon that is The Beatles. To then go on to hear the genius of so many musicians and artists who followed. I felt that genius faded after the 1990s, with young artists being controlled and manipulated by the bean counters at the labels. I'm very glad that young people are hearing this music and being inspired, like Ren and his friends, to once again be free to do it their own way.
It's so much fun watching Paul keep an eye on John, knowing that John is probably mugging for the camera.. and how Paul is laughing inside.... you can see and feel the bond that existed at this time between these two great songwriting partners
On this one, Paul wrote the verses, John wrote the chorus, and George wrote the walkdown in 3/4 (after "fighting my friend") --- the part you like where they slow it down. I love how it changes time signature there. So Beatley.
The Beatles were indeed pioneers and (peaceful) revolutionaries. It’s hard to describe succinctly but they not only revolutionized music they revolutionized the world. They evolved continuously. From mere musicians they became prophets preaching peace and love. Loving your channel. Hope you are enjoying the holidays!
After the Beatles band split up, they each had solo music careers. Paul McCartney and Wings did Live and Let Die and Jet and well they each went on to do even more cool music.
I was only 2 years old when we had the British Invasion of great music. The Beatles started it. I love this song especially the cheekyness of John on piano and trying to make Paul crack up. It's funny every time I see it. Also George over there is so focused on his guitar chords. They made classic songs. They all went on to go solo in their own careers especially Paul with Wings and George.
React to Lennon's Happy Christmas/ War is Over...a Christmas song with unfortunately a with a message still needed to come true. Queen also has a Christmas song with a message called Thank God it's Christmas.
They were pioneers for sure. They changed music. Listen to "Here Comes the Sun" for a feel-good song. They did lots of different types of songs, but Hey Jude and Here Comes the Sun will make you smile.
I remember at 4 years old in 1964 seeing them on The Ed Sullivan Show and wondering why girls were screaming and carrying on. I figured it out later. 😊
Another amazing Beatles song. Like all of them 😊 Rarely for a Beatles song, John and Paul composed distinct sections - the ones they sing. Paul the happy stuff and John the “Life is very short…” section.
The Beatles were masters at time signature changes in their songs. No one has ever done it better. This mainly Paul's song but John wrote the chours part; "Life is very short and there's no time" bit, it's brilliant. They complemented each other so well. I don't think we will ever see another Lennon/McCartney at least in my life time. I will soon be 67 so not in my life time. This song was from their double A-side single "Day Tripper"/"We Can Work It Out" which was released the same day as their iconic Rubber Soul Lp released on 12/3/65. Both songs were so good there was no B-side and both went to #1. The Beatles had several of these, no one else in history has even had one double A-side single. Please, Please check out John's "Nowhere Man" from Rubber Soul, it's amazing and I promise you'll love it. Greatest band ever and it ain't even close! Peace ❤
The Beatles' song I'm anxious for you to hear is Tomorrow Never Knows from the Revolver album. Technologically, it advanced music in a huge leap. It's amazing!
The harmonies 😊Wishing you and your family a very Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄 Get back, back in the USSR and Oh Darling are a few good ones. Great reaction and Peace out 🙏 ☮️ ✌️
The Beatles evolved quickly and in spectacular fashion. They defied genre while their vibe was overwhelmingly positive. Their appearance on this planet seemed somehow written in the stars. They came to America when we were shattered and lost after the assassination of JFK. Then events just seemed to accelerate worldwide. The Maharishi Mahesh Yogi described the Beatles as the next avatars to bear the message of love, which must be picked up and carried in this world over time, over and over. You have to dive into the double White Album. A lot of it written while they were in India learning meditation with Sexy Sadie, another guru who turned out to be less than advertised.
There's an easy explanation for the differences in musical genres. Technology. Until the late 70s, music was primarily about rhythm, beat, melody and lyrics. The late 70s introduced more sound effects and videos.
Hi there 👋 I've just subscribed. On this particular song, those little slower bits are called WALTZ it's a type of music that you dance with a partner. Was invented in VIENA,Austria and was popularised by the 19/20th century , by STRAUSS. Check it out on Wikipedia. Take care ✌️ peace & Love
My friend, I've been listening to the Beatles for about 60 years no and you're simply mistaken. This song is NOT at all about two people listening to each other and "finding a common ground". This is about one person saying that he's right and the other is wrong... plain and simple. Listen carefully to the lyrics again. I have been hearing this song since it came out about 55 years ago and erven as a kid I realized it was about one person saying, I'm right no matter what you say and you are wrong. Do things my way or I'm outta here.
I wonder if you're aware of the belief by some that the real Paul McCartney died and was replaced in late 1966. I know it sounds crazy, but it was openly talked about in mainstream circles in the 1960 (I remember this as a kid), and the evidence then and since is overwhelming that the current "Paul" is not the same person. Replacement Paul is taller, has a different eye color, and a different head shape (narrower and longer). The two have distinctly different personalities in interviews. Musically there are differences also. Real Paul was an amazing bass player first and piano player second. Paul no. 2 is much more of a piano player who was not nearly as comfortable on the bass. This video shows the real James Paul McCartney. I don't pretend to know how this was pulled off or why, but I looked at the evidence, including simply comparing photos of the two. Not the same person.
No. To think they replaced the Paul McCartney who was talented enough to write "Yesterday" and "Michelle", with a look-alike who was talented enough to write "Hey Jude" and "Let It Be", as if people like that grow on trees, is just plain silly.

Love the harmony singing by John.❤
When this was recorded, Paul was 23, John was 24, George was 22, and Ringo was 25,

The Beatles made enormous evolutions in their music…All ahead of their time! ❤ Their entire catalog is amazing.

My generation grew up with these songs, so we almost took it for granted how good it was. The music from then must be a real treat for younger folks.
Love you man 💙 Hope you had a wonderful Christmas. 🎄
This has always been one of my favorite Beatles songs! Since the 60s.
You are wise beyond your years.

If you haven't you have to see the movie A Hard Days Night from 1964 when their career was just taking off.
I feel the same way. Paul and John's harmonies wow me. They're just perfect. The reason I love this one.
The Mozart of Modern music
The song was released in 1965 with Day Tripper on the flip side of the single.
#1 in the world!
More singles, please
Paperback Writer,
Rain, Day Tripper

The Beatles run was all done in their twenties.

Seemingly among the few (maybe only) time a pneumatic Victorian parlor pump organ was featured among the instruments in a major rock band
Beatles/If I Fell😮😊

As a music reactor, in this time and place, it is best to stay away from lyrical analysis and "what genre is this". Trust me
The Beatles' song I'm anxious for you to hear is Tomorrow Never Knows from the Revolver album. Technologically, it advanced music in a huge leap. It's amazing!
Hope u had a good Christmas fella.I'd say you're pretty mature & wise beyond ur years. They were about 23-4 at that time.
For great harmonizing, listen to:
" Nowhere Man," "This Boy," "Because," " There's a Place," "Sun King," " If I Fell," " There's Two of Us,"
The harmonies 😊Wishing you and your family a very Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄 Get back, back in the USSR and Oh Darling are a few good ones. Great reaction and Peace out 🙏 ☮️ ✌️

The youngest was 21, a month from turning 22.
❤❤
4/4➡3/4➡4/4...........only the Beatles
They were probably all between about 22 to 24 years old for this song.
Read the book Helter Skelter by Vincent Bugliosi to get the Manson/Beatles connection. Bugliosi was Manson's prosecutor.
The oldest Beatle was 25 in this video.

I was 14 years old and my parents were horrified at how “long” their hair was 😂😂😂🥰👵🏼☮️
Check out their song Revolution! Ringo does Yellow Submarine from Sgt. Pepper Album!❤
"Yellow Submarine" was on their previous Lp "Revolver" and not from "Sgt Peppers"
Stevie Wonders does a great cover of this song.
John was 24 and Paul was 22, George was 21

You could spend about three months just reacting to the Beatles, and then another three months reacting to their solo projects.
Yessir
When you get a chance check out STEELY DAN'S song KID CHARLEMAGNE
Stevie Wonder does a nice version of this one
You speak common sense young man. a world for all but fair. Maybe a dream but still the right way. Nan we work it out today?

And the earth is flat and the moon made of cheese😂
The original Paul didn’t die. He got a Burger King franchaise, so he convinced a look-alike to replace him with the Beetles.
Oh my god!! Don’t bring up all of this again!! 😂😂😂😂. But yes it was a huge news story and contrite the time!! Crazy!!
