0:40 i’ve actually found deluging shot to be very effective if you have a mage pawn that can enchant your bow with ice affinity, freezing enemies solid, allowing to really lay down damage on weak spots while they can’t defend themselves!
Archer skills works best when using with your pawns. All you need is a mage as main pawn that buffs weapons with affinities. This means you get the debilitating effects of caught fire and frostbite with the spiral arrow. Deluging shot and incendiary shot are use with the affinity from the Mage pawn. The mage pawn will buff your weapons first so you can always have consistent use of debilitations from elements and the two archer skills to get plenty of torch and icebound debilitations. You can also easily get the benumed effect from lightning affinity.
Finished the game without using any other vocations except Archer. With 100hours in the game 6 deaths and 1 wakestone used on self 5 on NPC. Erupting Shot is OP! Combined with Spiral arrow with Elemental affinity from mage. Now I'm playing on NG+ to max out all vocations. Avoiding Warfarer since it ranks up all vocations at once.
I'm almost done with post end game but I've never hired archers.. only doing so for big statue guy. Does the drenching or explosives get used by the pawn if I do not give them arrows in their inventory?

Absolutely... If you build around it, deluging shot can be a murderous.

Magick Archer archer Sporadic Arrow is too OP but very risky.
