George, seems like a simple process but one has to keep in mind what is happening in the process. A really good lesson to learn to do several things at the same time. This is really a nice way to blend together a couple of pictures and make the results look great! Thank you for all you do! Rich
Excellent video, this helped me create my latest thumbnail! 1 thing I'd like to add, when using the mouse to draw the gradient line, make sure you've selected the mask layer on the photo you want to blend. I had the photo itself selected and got a black and white gradient over everything. Took me a minute to figure out. Cheers from Ontario Canada!

Thanks Rich, this trick is simple but effective depending on the images. It works best if both images have similar color backgrounds.
