      What are the laws for having skulls? Do I need a license for a deer head if someone gives one to me? I was going to ask some of the deer processors if I could have some heads.

    • @usskullhunter
      @usskullhunter  6 років тому

      Each state is different so i would look it up on your local Dept of Game and Fish. But generally speaking you just need the hunters information who harvested the deer. Deff check your local laws though.

    Skills and creativity. You are amazing friend. Natural dyes....think soy sauce(brown/black) and turmeric (yellow/goldenrod). Btw, just found this vid on my travels. Finishing up a couple of knife projects...all from scrap. I'll drop you a pic on FB. Next, gonna attempt carving a rabbit skull. Forgot I had it. Rabbit killed by a snake. Snake killed by me (caught in the act). Snake and Rabbit Stir fry is pretty good.

    Hi, I'm a total amateur, just starting out , I have tons of skulls around as we are guide outfitters. So, my question is , could you please please put a list of which bits you are using? I am finding that the hardest thing to figure out. I have tons of them, carbide, diamond, silicone.. But not sure what is best. And do you sand down the skull before you carve? You are awesome. Thank you so much, Julie

    I don’t know maybe you can help me with this? On eBay they sell carved deer horn. It’s pretty elaborate and well done. They sell they are cheap. But there from Indonesia. It hard to believe there hand carved at that price.is there a way there using a machine and mass producing them?

      Hey Jason! Yes, believe it on not they are hand carved. It's just a difference in their economics. I have specifically talked with carvers from Indonesia and they say they make good money selling at those prices. It's fair prices for them but obviously it seems super cheap to us.
