Environment.....Its only one environment, the whole game is 1 building and the same 4 enemies. Gameplay is fun but everything else is the definition of mid

@@bifrey no. hes not. the astral plane is not In the building. its a different plane of existence, also the jukebox teleports you to a different place. these are different environments.

I've also recently played Control. Such a great and underrated game. Easily became one of my faves in the genre, and overall tbh.

Control got me back into gaming 5 or so years ago. It was just so dang weird and fun. I had no idea what was going on but I could throw stuff and fly… that was enough 😂
I completely understand why Control is NOT everyone's cup of tea, but oh my goodness I'm so glad you at least sat down and played it again without outside distraction. One of my all time favorite games, Remedy just always delivers in my opinion. Still haven't had the ability to play Alan Wake II but I'm glad to hear it has a similar artistic style as Control. One of these days I also need to go back and finish Quantum Break. I mean I have the collectors edition and the freaking vinyl for it FRAMED for Christ's sake lol
I consider Control and Alan Wake 2 to be the game equivalent to art cinema. They're both such unique AAA games. It's the kind of concept and execution you'd expect from an indie title.
I liked going through the all the files, audio recordings, and videos they had. They show that they have all these crazy artifacts that could destroy the world if they got out of the facility

The Remedy Verse is my favorite new fictional universe since Mass Effect.
It's a crazy mix of Lynch and Lovecraft they've put together.
It reminds me of Loki tv series. The aesthetics, the vibe and even some of the premise. Such a great game and i hope to see a sequal one day

This game is totally underrated
I don't if this game was supposed to be a horror game, but damn, when those voices starts on the background, make me wanna cry hahaha it is terrifying and I love it.
The game is even better now on PC with the HDR mod, up to date DLSS or modded FSR2, FSR3 Frame Gen AND higher than official RT options.

@@surfer8438 LukeFZ (6$ patreon) has an FSR3 Frame Gen mod that works in almost any game that supports either DLSS2, FSR2 or DLSS3 Frame Gen. So I used it in Control, works marvelous. Requires the Control HDR mod as well. Recently finished playing Dead Space Remake with FSRAA (similar to DLAA) + Frame Gen.
I love that game, played it three times. The game has such a great SCP aesthetic/vibe 👍 The whole atmosphere and world building, just awesome 😍

Was just looking up vids as I just finished Control again after just playing once when it came out and I love it again. And now after playing Alan Wake 2 I appreciated the Alan Wake Easter Eggs MUCH more. There were so many things in Control that crossed over to Alan Wake it was very cool.
Control is such a fantastic game. Underrated game. I always suggest it to people. Even better now with Control and alan wake tying into eachother even more.
what i loved about this game is it was created to be a tech demo for rtx and dlss, but they still created an amazing gameplay experience and story that also performed well even with max settings and rtx, granted dlss and the game have had many updates since release which gave it better visual fidelity and performance but still its quite incredible.
Few games are as immersive to me as this. As a huge reader, the flavour text was amazing and you really get the sense that you're wandering around a government building youre not supposed to be in, reading their classified files. I lose myself in this unique world every time. The mythology, atmosohere, puzzle pieces, history of the Buereau....amazing.

Played it for the first time like a month and a half ago. I wouldn’t say it’s a must play game or anything that changes my perspective on life or on gaming, but it was a fun experience

*Honestly the most creative game I've played in 10 years 👍 perfect atmosphere, amazing combat, very thrilling exploration. my ONLY issue is once u explore a level, the spawn points are always the same and enemies don't follow you beyond a certain point. Hopefully something they can fix in Control 2 👌 I want to encounter an enemy and have him stalk me throughout the entire level until I kill him* 💀

What I like about Control is that the setting is like Dead-space but emeries are not zombies/mutants! Tired of mutants in games 😭

I really love this game, the world building, combat and environmental destruction makes the game really fun and immersive. But i do have to say Jesse may not be the best female mc and her dialogue sometimes is really cringe and odd. Nonetheless, still a really great game to play. A SCP-ish game is down my alley, it has moments that are really scary, brutal and make my skin crawl.

Honestly I found the game kinda meh, I think for me it's a 6.5/10, combat wasn't as far as everyone made it out to be, and the characters were just boring. Not to mention the camera zooming 3000% on the main character every 4 seconds

This game was meh for me
I really enjoyed the gameplay, mostly, but I found the story to be so incredibly nonsensical that it kind of ruined the experience for me. Like I don’t want to knock something for being original but good grief it’s just became too much to keep up with.
I loved the surreal Creepiness of the Game but for fucks sake, did they really need to make Jesse being such a pretentious piece of shit, always talking and talking and talking???? Jeez, this is probably the laziest kind of Exposition Dumping, I've ever seen. "jUsT LEt tHe pRoTaGoNiSt tALk yOuR fUcKiNg eAr oFf; iT wILL bE fUn, tRuSt mE!" This is the only Aspect of the entire Game, that really really turned me off a lot and if "Alan Wake 2" has got the same Issue going on, I probably will skip that too. I just don't like it at all, if the Protagonist constantly keeps talking Shit, no Matter if it's important or not. Just don't do that. Don't implement that in such an extreme Way and I'll be all in for the Ride. 🤷♂
