Excellent. I watch way too many body work/diagnosis videos trying to understand chronic pain (because so many are repetitive or don't dig deep enough into the complexities in the body's construction). Your vids are a godsend! Deep dives, unique perspectives and different methodologies when demonstrating effective treatments for underlying causes of various conditions - please don't stop educating folks. Truly a very unique voice.

From my experience working in a chiropractic office as a massage therapist, chronic pain seems to stem a lot from incorrect posture, repetitive incorrect movements, & never taking the time to properly release tension. Most of the pain clients I encounter anyway, with a few exceptions. Lack of stretching & weak muscles will freeze in place over time. That causes pain once you cross your pain threshold. It also shortens the muscle itself, causing the restriction in rang of motion. It is possible to lengthen that fascia back out but it takes extreme patience & listening to your body while gently stretching once you get to that point. You can't force muscles to relax & you can't overstretch them. Muscles will relax when they want to, not when you want them to. That's from my experience.
Don't allow your muscles to get that far to begin with. We must take the time to truly listen to our bodies & ask it what it needs. Which is not always an easy thing to do but a must. If you're experiencing a burning pain in your muscles, stop & observe where & gently warm up, stretch, & work on that area. Baby that area. Give it what it's asking for. 😌 🧘‍♀️🧡 Relaxation is just as important to understanding most of our pain. Stress & tension are major factors.

I do have a question. Both of my kids are considered ADHD and one use to be consider to be on the spectrum. I've seen an Occupational Therapist massage my son's head to help drainage for an ear infection. It did help. Also, I had a holistic doctor showed me how to massage my kiddos feet and hands to help with speech. I don't know if you are familiar with these techniques. If you are, could you explain how the body is able to do that?

You'll be amazed at how connected the body is. When my tight neck can be helped by treating the muscles around my (long ago) injured knee... that's major referral of pain/symptoms from a maladaptation of a fairly distant body system in response to where the actual injury/problem is. But it's true.
