RIP birds. Sounds nice and potent. Very new boi! PS: this is also a VERY clean video and maybe even one of the best ive seen of a marathon STH in full alert. Keep it up!
My place of residence has an STH-10 above the local volunteer fire station, and the other fire station has the Whelen 2803, the latter of which is spooky…
I'm going to see if I can record at least one more siren here before the end of the summer, providing the weather cooperates, and around here the weather can change on a dime.
@@wingochan9400 are you stupid?? all birds build nests everywhere, how are they supposed to know what the damn difference between a tree and a siren is you're acting like they have human brains and understand where they can put a nest bffr
Aw poor birds. That's why every siren that has a projector should always have a screen towards the end of the horn to keep em out of harms way.
The siren does have a screen projector, Around the stator.
🙄
@@Hepi130 I know.

Interesting, I didn't know Marathon made motors for these still at the time this one was made. This is a very late model from around 2003.
@@sirenfreak57 yea from what ive heard they were sold all the way up to 2005 before the eclipse took its place and still used marathon motors.
That's half of an XT22!
Cool! That's a new one with the newer motor! For sure
Yep, this one is from around 2003
my anxiety seeing the nest 📈📈📈📈📈📈📈📈📈📈📈
I love STH10's federal signal

How far away can these be heard?
4.5miles
Like I heard another siren today when the STH-10 was winding down
Bayport Commons Park STH-10. It has a birds’ nest and Greenport got the nest back!
Birds: ahhh what's is that sound!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
Please film more here! It’s that far for you.

This is a 2nd Siren long wind down on UA-cam - because it took 13 minutes to winds down.
Surprised these things were made for so long!
Why? They're so useful, from storm sirens to fire sirens, even air raid uses. They've been produced for a really long time!
That poor bird’s nest.
Nice video Kurt!
How much RPM does it spin at?
I don't know maybe it's 4RPM and 8RPM.
Dat birds nest tho! 😳🐦
Yeah I saw the bird fly out of the nest
Pourquoi in nid 🪹 d’oiseau dans la sirène elle risque d’être bloqué
This is my home Montana’s alarm
bird's nest house started screaming
Serves those birds right for building their nest in a siren instead of a tree.
how were they supposed to know 🤨
@@1blazryn They don't. That's the thing. 😐
@@wingochan9400 how does it serve them right 🤦♂️
@user-rb2np2hm7r Because they're stupid. A siren is not a tree. How do you get a tree and a siren mixed up? 🤨

Very nice!
It can’t wind down for 15 minutes. That’s Impossible
@@sirenmaster1735 Well clearly it is LMAO
Well the Westhampton Beach siren (STH-10A) at the firehouse which is 8 miles from me has a 6 minute wind down

LONG. WIND. DOWN.
I think I heard someone say stfu
Sound in federal signal model 5

That look like a air raid siren

Dumb birds make nests in stupid places
@@sirenmaster1735 Well it still is retarded, i like birds they are very neat indeed but dont make a nest inside a siren.
