- This 2T22 is located in an alleyway in the center of the small village of Straughn, in southeastern Henry County. They also have an old inactive HOR Siro-Drone at the FD which has recently gone housing-less. Sirens in Henry County are tested every Friday at noon. Good luck figuring out what is active.

The town of Brooklyn Wisconsin had one of these up until about 10 years ago. It had a on/off pattern tho. 2t22 you are SORELY missed. ❤ I'm flooded by memories of growing up in a small farm town now😁

@@loukawni ours went off first Wednesday of the month at noon, weather events, fire dept calls, and 6 o clock pm. EVERY night.
It wasnt a 2t22, it was a 3t22 and they removed it because one of the solenoids was stuck shut probably

Alertec2202 They have multiple people that go to record sirens and than send it to them so a team
It's also possible that they upload videos in bulk, so some of their recordings might actually be from 3-4 months before the actual upload date
They go at different test times

It is inactive but still works. And its a 3T22. But there is a 2T22 at the fire department headquarters where the 1940s model 7 used to be, but that model 7 is now at a convention center.
There's one in Westerville Ohio and that was LOUD.

Very thing that makes this really really heart wrenching is not playing continuously but the winding down and up again at regular intervals. But hearing the motors slowly wind down is golden and the church bells calling the faithful to their knees.

3t22 has solenoids which makes it capable of doing a hi-lo type sound, unlike the 2t22.

The xt22 is considered a fire/tornado siren. They could have had some installed at nuclear power plants though.

Fun fact, the 2001’s chopper was used from the Model 3
