4:44 this is warrior cats. They are cats who behave like humans, of course, they would not be able to transition like humans do with surgeries, but it's never a bad thing to show representation. Some people get attached to their ocs because they see themselves in them and want to show what they really feel on the inside. Showing a pride flag on a children's game isn't necessarily bad, as long as there aren't actual sexual implications--I see 12-13 year old children having small dates but nothing sexual, so why mark *LGBTQ* as an explicitly sexual thing? Not only that, but there are actually confirmed gay cats in the books. Secondly, as much as it *is* a children's book, I never actually considered it as children's media. Considering the excessive gore (tigerstar), mentions of religion(starclan and the dark forest), and so much more that makes adults/teenagers more attracted to the series rather then children. (Also roblox is banning
I gotta disagree that there are gay cats in the books. There are cats that were "confirmed" after the fact to be gay, but I don't take author's word to be true if there's no in-world evidence. A straight flag would also be inappropriate for the same reasons I listed in the video mind you, but I think we know where the bias is here. Also as I said the trans cat thing was personal, not moral. I just think it's cringe. Thanks though for explaining everything in detail, I appreciate that you gave your opinion thoughtfully
Most likely going to write a ten page essay to bare with me here. I'll be writing this as I watch the video. I'd also like to mention that I do have problems with the game, particularly how clearly money-hungry the devs are and the fact that the community can be a bit toxic, but that doesn't mean I agree with every criticism. For the title, yes, it is toxic, and it can be cringe, but some people like "cringy" things. I like "cringy" things. It is okay to like "cringy" things. 3:09 I started questioning my identity in grade school. As a demigirl, I had crushes on female characters or female classmates as early as pre-k (I believe I had some crushes on female characters in tv or whatever.) Queer identities are not some adult thing, and pretending being gay is only sexual sexualizes children. If not for queer representation like this, I'd still be confused in my identity, a clear need to talk about things like this. 3:18 Honestly, criticizing the amount of flags LGBTQ+ people have is a you problem. I understand not knowing every label or wanting to learn them, but that is your problem. (That is the aroace flag. I saw another comment and according to the LGBTQ+ wiki, "The flag was created "with the experiences of aroaces who don’t split their attraction in mind", which is why the flag does not contain purple for asexual nor green for aromantic.") 4:39 I am not trans, but I am very close to several trans people & am an AFAB demigirl. "Warrior Cats isn't magic, you can't just say it's a fantasy series so therefore anything goes." It... quite literally, is magic. They talk to cat-gods and have cat-governments. If you think that there can't be trans cats, that displays a layer of internalized transphobia in my opinion (although if there's any trans people in the replies please leave your take.) 5:30 I'm extremely white, I'm guessing you aren't Native American based on how you're talking about this. I did see a video a while back explaining how this was cultural appropriation, however after awhile of searching, I couldn't find the video. If I find it, I will make a follow up reply. 6:48 I can partially agree, however other servers (mainly talking about the WoFB server here as it's a very similar concept) set the age at 16 and just don't give inappropriate reports to those under 18. I do understand the concern though and I'm not saying you don't have a good point. 7:38 This is the moderator's judgement. Somebody can simply not post a newborn in the server and post it somewhere else. I get the sentiment, but I assume the idea behind banning it is to avoid normalizing cats who aren't spayed and neutered. 10:48 I use tonetags. Tonetags are extremely useful for me as I misunderstand things over text. (I also could likely be on the autism spectrum and am trying to get diagnosed with ADHD, so do with that what you will.) Assuming people are becoming suicidal because of misunderstanding is a huge jump, but it's also victim blaming in my opinion. I understand that you, as an autistic person, may not use them, but others, including me, do. If you have a problem with them, just don't use them. 13:32 I don't know how true this is and I'm not willing to go on another fetch quest for a random comment that probably won't change anyone's mind, but moderators cannot list every case and every loophole in the rules. If something obviously deserves to be banned, then it will be banned. Mods chosen will not just randomly ban people, they will actually have common sense. That's why applications and training exist.
I'm sorry but, I don't believe pre-K kids can have crushes. I don't know what you experienced but it certainly wasn't the real thing. Also, the deal with hatespeech laws is that they don't always pertain to hate. In Britain you can get arrested for misgendering. What I said was in relation to trans people passing. Also, I'm not sure where I was ableist to blind people? My point wasn't about Jayfeather himself, it was that there's no way for a trans cat to pass at all because of scent. You could restrict reacts without only having positive ones. There's probably even a way to just ban out of server reacts, but I don't know for sure.
@@Serasugee Kids can have crushes at that age I believe, I understand the internet isn't a very reliable source but from a quick google search almost all results say kids as young as pre-k can have crushes which seems pretty correct as someone who had one. That makes sense about the hate speech thing, and I very well might have misinterpreted what you said about jayfeather and I'll delete that. By role and by channel, the only permissions related to emojis are: -The ability to add reactions -The ability to use external emoji The best you could do is probably monitor reactions until the react limit is reached which is pretty reasonable, so I'll delete that point.
3:36 thats the aroace (aromantic+asexual) flag, meaning to have no romantic/s xual attraction whatsoever or to be on both spectrums at once, hope this helped
i dont really get whats inherently inappropriate about pride flags. its not inherently sexual. also nobody is forcing their opinions on you, just stay out of spaces you dont feel comfortable in. as a matter of fact if the game is cringe or whatever in your opinion just dont play it.
also 10:15 they're referring to people who have self harmed in the past who have scars in those areas that are clearly visible, unfortunately people cant just erase their self harm scars.
