Foam Back Scud

This is a great scud pattern for trout. The foam back allows the pattern to sink slowly. I like to tie this pattern behind a heavily weighted egg or stonefly pattern, that way the heavy fly will sink and the scud will flutter behind it in a life-like fashion.
Hook: U202 size 14
Shell: Insect brown 2mm craft foam
Rib: Small copper wire
Thread: Black uni 6/0
Dub: Rainbow sow scud
Feelers: Tan hen soft hackle
