Gut Buster

This is a great worm pattern. Not only does this pattern kill in trout parks where there are constant bait fishers gutting trout in the water, but it is just a great imitation for natural worms, dead minnows, and cranefly larva.
Hook: U202 Size 10
Body: White Baby Yarn
Thread: White 6/0 Uni

Why not just used lead wire instead of the tape?

Sorry for my late response, you can use lead wire. I like to use lead tape because I think it's easier to cover with the thread and the surrounding yarn so it is less noticeable to the fish.
