In this video we are going to show you how to remove and replace headlight bulb on Vw Jetta MK6 or Vw Golf MK6. We will demonstrate for both high beams and low beams. Both bulbs are made by OSRAM. It is identical procedure for the left and right side. We demonstrated on the right side because there is more room to shoot the video so we can show you the procedure.

I struggled a great deal, but once I got it, it was fairly simply. So when putting it back make sure the relatively long metal piece on the mount is down. Now putting the bulb assembly in you’re not supposed it have it perfectly horizontal in terms of the black plastic tabs. In fact they should be a bit rotated in the counter clock wise direction i.e. to the left when you’re facing the front of the car. Rotate counter clockwise like 30 degrees when inserting in and then rotate clockwise to lock.
Everybody, read this comment above. I don't know why I assumed that I should insert it with the black tab horizontal, but I spent 45 minutes trying to get it to work before I read this.

Your clockwise or the cars .from which angle r u standing when u put it in
@@takkadi3116 your clockwise. Basically when you are facing the front of headlight and are putting the bulb in, you rotate it a bit to the left aka counter clockwise and then when it feels in position you simply rotate right aka clockwise to lock. When putting the bulb in you can look into the headlight to better position the bulb as you can see if the tip of the bulb is horizontal and centred.

Driver's side is especially tricky with the fuse box right there, worse still my light fixture didn't have the same clip/handle to help twist it back into place. This was brutally finicky!

How come I've watch 5 videos with same vehicle and bulb installation on passenger side only? Nobody wants to show how difficult it is to do the driver side?
The difficulty is the same for both sides. But for demonstration purposes, it is smoother to do the passenger side for right handed individuals. As the driver side requires you to use your left hand more.

Thank you! Changed my vw in 30 min. The clip at 1:59 was the hardest part. Putting the clip on without touching the bulb was tougher than it sounds. Once I got it on i was done in seconds. Another tip is to look thru the headlight while putting the bulb back in. This video was great. Thank you! 🙏🏾

They call it LAG2, it doesn't need any adapter, when I know this led light bulb, was so happy, cause I bought a lot led light bulb, but have error code, This is a good choice for your car.

You don’t have to remove the metal clip in order to remove the bulb.

this worked great on passenger side, but on driver side I just can't seem to seat the bulb/socket into the headlamp assembly. Its awkward angle, left hand and tight. On passenger side I removed and put back in super easy . . . any tip?

I dropped the metal piece too and I can't find it . Dropped it right over the belt so I'm scared to turn on ny car
I recommend wearing latex gloves. This way you don't have to worry about touching the bulb.

Passenger side is the easy side but do you have a tutorial on the drivers side?
Just did this yesterday on my girlfriend's Jetta. My biggest struggle was getting the cover to spin off on the driver side. With the lack of hand room you have. I had a waste cut off of a 2x4 sitting on my work bench. It was a 45 degree angle. So a triangle chunk, that happened to fit perfectly on the cover back plate. I then used a rubber mallet to lightly tap on the wooden block to loosen the lid. After that it was just feeling around with my right hand to get the bulb out.
Stand at the wheel base and go in from that angle use a second person to guide or use a mirror/ your phone . Shine a flashlight through to see the light from opening

Parsons no you dint have to remove anything and u dont have to pull the metal piece off just wiggle the bulb it will come out
