Glad this video has helped so many people! Had we known there was such a void of Jetta DIY stuff we could’ve done a much better presentation but as long as it works and helps people that’s what really matters! Glad it helped you!
@@garling23 thanks again we seriously appreciate the kind words and super glad the video helped! We have a bunch of diy stuff on the channel feel free to check it out! Hope you find something else that helps! Have an awesome day!
It is always easier to do things the 2nd time, you benefit from the 1st time errors. You have provided the first time replacement for me so I can skip the dumb stuff I might have done. Thanks
Thanks for this. Many videos here on UA-cam but yours is the first to address these types of lamps. I am having trouble with the passenger side lamp but will go after it again after watching this. Thanks again.
Thanx for dropping the great video brother. Not only did you explain the process thoroughly, and made it simple, but you also made it entertaining, and enjoyable to watch. 👍😁👍
thanks so much! this job took me 3 months to complete! first I had to design a tool to remove the cover to access the bulb. I used a piece of cherry hardwood and cut a slot with my 8" chopsaw. I could then use the wood as a lever on the fin on the back of the cover to produce the torque to release it. this sure is a tight space! the bulb was a b.. to get off, but with time, I was successful. the next challenge was alligning the bulb placement in the socket. neither of the last two videos I watched described positioning the tab pointing down as you do. this saved me at least half an hour. thanks. you're great!
So I tried to replace my driver side for the first time since I got the car and the piece you twist to remove the light is missing. Is there still a way to get the light out? Thanks!
That part is the cover. If it is missing that’s one less step you have to do, however your bulb and headlights won’t be protected properly from the elements.
As salaam alaikum Ahsan, sorry you missed my sense of humor and sarcasm. Next time brother, next time I’ll come up with a good line for you! Thank you so much for watching commenting and subscribing!
i dont mean to be so off topic but does anybody know a way to log back into an instagram account?? I was stupid lost my account password. I love any assistance you can offer me.
@Kian Leon Thanks for your reply. I got to the site thru google and Im trying it out now. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
you should run for president! yours is the only video telling which way that tab goes into the headlight assembly. you got my vote.
Thank you, maybe I will some day.
Exactly
Now i know why mine isn't going back in. Thanks.
best video for replacing a bulb on a jetta, I super apricated the end where you explain the tabs for reinstall.

Yes! No one ever shows you how to reattach and insert the clip back in the socket the way you did, no matter how professional they are!

Thanks Kurt, now I think I will be able to replace my headlights with Led headlight bulbs, the better to see the deer on the road after dark!
Thanks for the video. One of the bulbs just burned out on my 2014 Jetta and this was exactly what I needed to see! I’ll be fixing it this weekend.
Glad I could help! Thank you for watching!
Best video, only one that actually worked, thank you!!!

You video saved me tons of time. Thank you so much 🎉
This video helped me tremendously. My mistake was putting the light back on the wrong way. The direction of the tabs - 7:40-7:50 saved me. Thank you!!
Glad it was helpful.

Glad you enjoyed it!
Great video. Hoping you will do a video on the running lights next.
We would but unfortunately don't own this vehicle anymore.
You make it look so easy lol, been going at it for over an hour and it doesn’t just twist in.. 😭
Your head light assembly could possibly be damaged. Take a close look and be sure to align the tabs on the circumference of the bulb.
I did it! Thanks for the help!
No problem glad the video was helpful!
Lifesaver! Thank you bruva!
You're welcome! Thanks for watching commenting and subscribing!
You make it seem easy!

Nice!!
Thank you
Nice. I appreciate it!
No problem!
Thx! If you don’t wipe the bulb off and you touch the glass it will shatter or crack once it heats up
Thanks this helped.
Hey brother I cant open the dust cover it's soo tight is there an easy way to open it to replace the bulb? I did not change bulbs since 2014
It could be possible that you are turning it in the wrong direction. Or it’s stuck for some other reason.
It would have been nice to see which ones were hard to un clamp. I can't get mine. 🙄🤣
Yeah it is very difficult to get a camera in there.
ok im gonna try this. dealership said $69 to replace. fuuuuuck that haha ty for vid!
No problem, glad it helped!
@@KRTLyfe UPDATE: easiest thing I’ve ever done. So thankful for you!

Mine felt it was super glued in. Real pain in the ass to undue.

Interesting he said, “pay for it,” with some emotion.
That would be something normal, understood, no second thoughts to me.
