9th Int'l Mariachi Women's Festival in Los Angeles, CA

The 9th annual International Mariachi Women's Festival was held on November 20, 2022 and celebrated the beautiful mariachi women of Guadalajara. Featured performers included Guadalajara's Mariachi Femenil Nuevo Tecalitlán and Mariachi Innovación Mexican that performed with headliners Mariachi Divas de Cindy Shea. For one evening, the borders that separate Mexican and American mariachi women, their families and friends, were torn down and together they joined forces to perform for 1000 in-person attendees and another 300 who attended virtually, The festival was produced and directed by Dr. Leonor Xóchitl Pérez, the executive director for the Mariachi Women's Foundation.
