I have a 2009 Honda Accord with a floppy driver side visor. Called the Honda dealer and believe it or not, they wanted $500 for an OEM visor. Found a brand new one on EBay with the exact same tan color for $31.99. I watched your video and the installed the new visor in 10 minutes. Thank you sir, keep up the good work!
I have been driving around with a loose and hanging sun visor for probably the last year or so and had been putting off the replacement because I had no idea where to even start. I found this video a few days ago and you made the instructions so clear that I decided to order a replacement visor and give it a shot. I received the replacement visor this afternoon and had my old one off and the new one installed in less than 5 mins. Thanks for making this video!
I'm 58 yrs old lady..hehe, followed your instructions, installed it myself the new replacement visor less than 10min and voila! have my new visor...I don't have to worry about falling in front of me anymore the old, broken one while driving. Thanks so very much for your video. So very user friendly...Saved me $50-100 labor cost.
I have been putting off replacing my visor for two years and thanks to this video I got it done in less than five minutes! I really appreciate the guidance. I’m smacking myself for waiting so long to do it!
Thank you! I am not handy, but I was able to replace my visor following your tutorial. I had a little trouble pressing that clip in to get it to rotate and detach, but got it done!
Thanks! Completed this procedure for a 2018 Honda Pilot in 20 minutes! Got the new visor from EBay off a wrecked Pilot. Thank you for making this video!!
Mr. Big Dogg, Thank you sir! I went to the Honda dealership. Bought the replacement part for my 2013 Honda accord sport. They blessed me with a military discount. I followed your video step by step. Done! Semper Fi! Thank you sir!
6 minutes to watch a perfectly explained and clear instructional video became 2 minutes to properly and easily replace my broken sun visor without damaging my interior or the brand new part.
This video helped me out, the old hanging visor in my wife's accord had been bugging me for over 2 years. Followed your steps and I was able to replace it. Thank you.
Great video! One thing I learned is that you don’t press the tab up or down. You push the tab in as you rotate it. Then I had a bit of a time unclipping the electric. You have to press the tab on the opposite side of the rail to unclip. That was easy once I figured that out. Now I could do it again in 1 minute instead of 30. 😂. Thanks again.
This was my problem as well. Big Dog didn’t mention that small little detail in the video. That little clip for the electrical connection took far longer than anything else… until I found that little tab. Thanks Mike Hill for that detail. And thanks Big Dog for posting the video to show the removal of the visor!
Thank you very much for your video. Your instructions helped make a big difference in helping me installing the sun visor in minutes vs to over an hour that I had tried and it was unsuccessful. Thank you again for your kindness and contribution. May you receive lots of love, good health and happiness.
A big thank you to your video. It was quite easy to follow and I was able to replace my sunvisor today without any hitch. You're a very good instructor. Thank you so much.
Was struggle trying to use simple a small flat bit then went to home depot and purchased the husky version of your offset screw driver and it worked after 3 tries thanks for the incredibly helpful video.
Thank soooooo much. I’ve had no visor on The drivers side for years. Ordered one amd UA-camd how to install and your video explained perfect. My husband is going to be sooo impressed. Thanks again for taking time to help out.
Thanks for this great video with good camera angles and your instructions with tips & explanations. I bought my visor for a great price on eBay and installed it myself (an almost 70 y/o Granny). I saved $$$ & now I can go shopping for fun things! Thank you!! 👍👍💯
This video was also a perfect match for my wife's 2014 Accord. It literally took me less than 2 mins to do the swap. I snagged a new OEM driver side visor on eBay for just 75 bucks. I did however click your links as a way to say thanks!
Just watched your video after ordering a new sun visor for my 2014 Honda Accord Hybrid and this worked like a charm. Took me a couple of minutes to get the clip undone but after that it was smooth sailing. Thanks for the help!
Thanks for making this video. Because of your work, I replaced the sun visor in my 2019 Ridgeline in about 15 minutes. The only difficulty was getting the old one off; I ended up using channel lock pliers to turn the round base while pushing with a flat screw driver. The pliers chewed the old one a little, but it was headed for the trash, so no problem. New sun visor went in with an easy "click" that you described. Good job!!
Super helpful video. I've had trouble finding the right replacement for my 2012 Honda Pilot, but using your video tips I was able to take the visor off, spray some wd40 down along the shaft, and after hand cranking it a bit was able to get it working well again.
Ha.... Just bought a used Honda for my youngest son tonight. The drivers side visor was the only interior issue I could find. Looks like a quick fix thanks to the Big Dog once again.
Thank you for the video - I got the part from Honda dealership they charged me $187 for the part. They would not install it without charging. I came off and installed it at home in 2 minutes. Thanks Buddy - keep up the good work .
I have been ignoring these loose hanging visors in my 2008 Honda accord for at least 7 years. Thanks for the tutorial. I hate I waited so long to replace them now!
LOL I haven't been quite as bad as you, but I'm sure it's been at least 2 years now. I didn't realize the fix was to replace the whole dang thing. Now I just need to order and follow this video.
SIR, THANK YOU FOR THE VIDEO, i just got my new sunvisor for my HONDA ACCORD 2008, and i was planning to take it to sa shop, but then seeing your video, which taught me how to take it out and install the new one which made it easy. i have saved some money for the install. again THANKS for the nice video. It helps a lot!!
Good video. Worked for 2012 Accord. Make sure your unlocked position looks like 3:26 of vid and things should go smoothly. Took off old and install new in about 2 minutes. Thank you!
Finally got mine out this afternoon after 3 attempts! I used an angle screwdriver like you did as well as WD40. That notch was a pain! I bought my Grey sun visor replacement on Amazon.
The plastic elbow piece broke on mine and i was freaking out thinking about how much it was going to cost to fix, this makes me feel a lot more comfortable in getting it replaced. Thank you!!!
Thanks for posting this - it was very helpful! It was a lot harder than it looked to get the old one off: I had to press very hard on that tab and couldn't get it to work with a screwdriver; it worked a little better when I switched to a hex wrench that was just small enough to fit into the hole.
Thank you so much for making this video! Mine has been hanging halfway for 2 weeks and it was completely blocking my view. I was driving while holding it up and I didn’t know how to take it off. But I do now! Now I just gotta figure out where to buy a new one
i drive a 2010 honda accord crosstour and my driver’s visor was dangling by the wires was frustrated that I couldn’t jam it back in there. this video helped me fix me it with very little effort thank u so much
Thank you so much for this fabulously done video. Good camera angle so it's clear to see what you're doing and very clear, simple instructions. Someone accidentally pulled out my perfectly good sun visor and it's been hanging loose for a week. I struggled for a bit to get the bit that goes in loose to release the catch. But once that was done, viola ☺️👍🏼 it took about 2 mins. Thank you, you're genius 💐🌻
This is actually a quick fix. Instead of replacing it with a new one. The original one is actually not broken, the rotation is just off track. Once you remove it, rotate it until it clicks as if shutting the visor back up. Once you feel that click, install it back in that position and it will be good as new.
Hey - great video - i purchased a new OEM sun visor, but the part that connects the light and snaps into car roof will not rotate, so I cannot get it in position to replace it properly. Is there something wrong with how I am trying to rotate the sun visor or do I have a bad part?
Love the video i have a 2015 Honda Accord and my wife has to pull it down everytime she gets into the car to look at herself in the mirror even though she just left the house and just saw herself in the bathroom mirror so your video now explains how to fix thks.

Thank you for revealing the mystery of how this works for Hondas! I'm used to the much simpler method of having three screws to secure a visor.
