Poor Aurorus, such a pretty pokemon who needs more love. Also Probopass was an absolute chad in my playthrough of the Teal Mask dlc.
One of the things GF can do to fix Aurorus is by giving all the fossil mons "fully restored forms" and having them lose their rock typing.
Auroras should be Ice/Dragon . That alone would buff it adequately
Maybe also give it Solid Rock (or an ice variation of that ability) so that way it can take hits a tad better.
I used Aurorus in my X playthrough, and I loved it. Its a glass cannon but i love using glass cannon ice types cause its so statisfying when it works. Ice, rock and electric coverage was so good for my team. When it got to hit, it hit hard and was very useful. 10/10 would use again.
I’m also using an Aurorus in my current playthrough and I’m a big fan of it. Its movepool is fantastic.
Honestly, I used an Aurorus for my first Y play through. True it was a glass cannon, but I managed to get some pretty good mileage out of her. She even helped in the Elite Four.
Strange how all of the fossils, including aurorus, have a gender ratio of 7 male to 1 female
Yeh I think most Pokémon are viable in game and these videos are usually based on competitive viability
I highly agree with your opinion on Mega Audino being on this list, having the Healer Ability, an Ability that will only activate in Doubles, Triples or Rotations (if the last 2 Battles will ever come back), instead of Regenerator, Natural Cure, or Magic Guard as a Defensive Ability, or maybe even Analytic or Competitive to make it a bit more Offensive, and not having Moonblast really hurts its Viability in Singles a lot. To be all honest, if Audino got a Base Evolution instead of a Mega Evolution, then people would compare Audino to Cahnsey even more by making Base Audino able to use Eviolite and possibly even bulkier than a Potential Base Evolution of Audino.

2 things;
1: Musharna is a Tapir, same as Drowzee
2: Given she has a "Magical dream being" theme going in a more mystical way than Drowzee, why not make her a Psychic/Fairy type?

@@turboshazed7370 If you have a better suggestion I'm all ears. Fairy's just the only other type in the roster I could think of that fits a magical being like Musharna. Dragon is also a type heavily associated with magic, but not in the way Musharna does things. Also this isn't Monster Hunter, I can't just point at the Tapir and say "It's a Dragon" like Capcom did with Kirin.

I think Musharna should be the female evo of drowsee. Hypno should be Psychic dark. Musharrna could be psych/ normal
Musharna is a great concept and design visually, but is not backed up in gameplay. I agree that giving it comatose is a nice idea. But, I think an original ability is called for: 'Dream Drinker' - Musharna restores 1/6th HP per turn for each pokemon that is sleeping on the field. Additionally, whenever someone uses a move like 'Sleep Talk' or 'Snore' this heals her. Thus, she or an ally puts opponents to sleep, and this continually heals her.
This sounds good! If Mega Evolution ever came back and they gave Megas to more Pokémon, I'd give this ability to a hypothetical Mega Darkrai.

MysticUmbreon didn’t bother thinking of ways to buff Aurorus during its segment in the video. Personally I don’t mind it at all but it’s sad how Aurorus ain’t that good compared to Tyrantrum.

Personally I prefer Amaura and Auroras over Tyrantrum.
Frosmoth and Ninetales-A also die on entry when all existing hazards are set up, Aurorus is not the only one

Funny thing: I never chose Tyrantrum in Kalos. Aurorus is my fave fossil.
C'mon: it's beautiful, it's got decent moves and does fairly good if used well.
Honestly i agree with this list but i have alot of fond memories of musharna as i loved mine when i was little and it does hold a place in my heart as it was on my team but i accidentally lost my moony (my musharnas nickname at the time) due to two things 1 my evil step sister released her and i also lost my original pokemon black
Mega Audino has always been my favorite Mega. I don’t even really like regular Audino, but love it’s Mega
I actually got crazy Ws in sword and shield doubles with galarian slowbro being used as a trick room setter. I had a focus sash on him, I usually had Oranguru next to him. Turn 1 people always went for oranguru instead of slowbro, thinking he was the real threat. But oranguru was fully defense invested. Then, after slowbro got the trick room up, it was game. Sometimes he'd dmax and spam max ooze. I had a fully special attacking team. Then oranguru would use instruct on pokemon that got sp atk boosts. So many rage quits.
Mega Audino is a great contest Pokemon I used one to win the master rank of all 5 contest types
I know they weren’t competitively viable ever, but you leave my snow longnecks alone! They’re perfect, even if they shouldn’t be used to, ya know, win.

The amount of shade thrown towards Aurorus is staggering (even if its true about how bad a Ice/Rock typing is). You didn't even say anything to help "buff" it. They probably could've made it Ice/Dragon to match Tyrantrum plus make it's typing more manageable.
I'd use it any way. It's so pretty and it's shiny is great.
Poor Aurorus apparently not even worth trying to save... Shame, I love the concept of Aurorus...

It's unrelated to the video, but why didn't you do a no restrictions team for HG SS? Is it because the team members would be the same? Because even then the moves would have been different thanks to the special/physical split.

Musharna was my MVP on my black play through! Using yawn and it’s Special attack and bulk, I did so well! It took down a lot of the elite four who were over leveled! Shadow ball for psychic types and other coverage as needed :)

Honestly hard disagree on aurorus. Just looking back on it's competitive history it's had niches as high as RU nad is usually a good wallbreaker in the lower tiers because of how good it's stab combo is. Sure it's never been as good as Tyrantrum but it still has things going for it. More than stuff like Musharna. Plus it can be both a hail setter and a suicide lead which the other snow setters can't

So, Mostly for algorithm, but also i never realized quite how much I love Musharna: Its a tapir. An animal from south america and southeast asia. But, the reason this is important: a creature called a Baku that is also the same word for Malayan Tapir are said to be creatures that devour nightmares but if the baku is called on too often it would devour your hopes and dreams as well. So for those that have read the manga, extra points for every time Black has Musha eat his thoughts so he can think clearly. Also just as someone who suffers insomnia and rather vivid nightmares, we stan a dream guardian.
But that all being said, yeah its borderline useless outside a normal playthough. But its pretty pink and cute and huggable
I like the way Musharna looks, but it needed one more evolution if it had any chance of being top tier. Instead it's a mid tier pokemon you're likely expected to replace before the League.
I used Musharna in my black and white gameplay, it wasn’t that great but I really loved its design

Body press Probopass is actually pretty good raid Pokemon for anything weak to fighting
Musharna should get haze as another means of phasing setup sweeps
I agree with Mega Audino. It needed Moonblast and an ability that doesn't rely on battles that aren't Singles. If Megas weren't cut from Gens 8-9, Mega Audino could've gotten Triage, Natural Cure, Regenerator, Pixilate, Soundproof, or Punk Rock(but perhaps with a different name, like with Insomnia and Vital Spirit). I have Soundproof and Punk Rock because Audino is known for having a strong sense of hearing.
I disagree with Galarian Slowbro.
Munna and especially Musharna are Pokémon that could've become Psychic/Fairy or pure Fairy types. Granted, there are a list of Pokémon that should've gained the Fairy typing, but I digress. Besides, this comment would be a lot longer if I did post that list. Telepathy could be replaced with abilities such as Misty Surge, Psychic Surge, Comatose(which kinda makes sense), or Levitate.
While I fairly agree with Aurorus, I do agree with Probopass. Both of them could be better.
4:08 if not moonblast then having the pixelate ability would have made it better and fix the bad healer ability it does have
I actuly used probopass for my kitikami team, i was actuly a ton of fun to use
If i was making aurous i would give it the ice/dragon type which is a much better type than ice/rock the stats and abilities weren't the problem

I think Musharna is okay due to the HP and being solid in trick room. One Pokemon i believe was never good: POLIWRATH. Oh and yup... Reuniclus is better. 😊
I will always defend/pick Aurorus over Tyrantrum even if it is the objectively worst choice because I love both Amaura and Aurorus from the bottom of my heart.
i wouldnt call Luxray unusable...ive had one as part of my Scarlet main team as ZyuohLion and he's come in clutch for me on several occasions, winning battles i had thought lost
Well it’s complete dogshit in competitive pokemon. Also has you picked a different electric type to use in scarlet, you wouldn’t have been in a position where a ducking luxray needs to save your team.
@@gofglida4155 had to be Luxray, it fit the Zyuohger theme, and besides, ZyuohLion won more than a few important battles solo and under leveled. sure, there were better Electric Types, but my Thundercat is still putting in the hard work post game with the rest of his team: ZyuohEagle (Braviary), ZyuohShark (Garchomp), ZyuohElephant (Copperajah), ZyuohTiger (Glaceon) and ZyuohGorilla (Annihilape)
@@darkclawgreatonenas Well that doesn’t change the fact that luxray sucks in battle. I love it’s design just as much as you do but don’t try and justify it.
@@gofglida4155 Intimidate's useful but yeah, that's pretty much where it ends. What really sucks for it is the worthwhile Physical Electric moves are locked behind being signature moves with its strongest STAB option being Wild Charge which is basically Electric type Take Down with 100% accuracy. Like. Why? Not to mention the Elemental Fangs being weak as coverage moves. And being rather slow (and not even slow enough to take advantage of Trick Room) with average bulk really doesn't help it. An example of trying to make something balanced but failing. Like was Gamefreak really that scared of putting Volt Tackle on something with a base 120 Attack stat but middling Speed? And why a base 70 Speed stat instead of at least 80?
I find it interesting that the pokemon community acknowledges that Luxray is pretty terrible, but most them still end up picking it for their team on all the Sinnoh games.
but Shell Sidearm does Physical or Special depending on which will hit the opponent harder.... That's what the trade off for less chance to poison is.... like you use it against a Blissey its now Physical and oneshots
I was about to type something like that, actually. Before Tera Blast when Slowbro was (I think) the only non-legendary with a move like that which had good bulk, a good typing, and decent offensive stats with a higher chance to go first than I think Mystic understands (it's calculated twice if you run Quick Claw. So, it's like getting two opportunities to get the dice roll you want instead of one, not improving the odds to 4/10, but giving you two 2/10 chances to go outspeed literally everything).
It's not great these days, but I think that's mainly because of the entire Tera mechanic as opposed to how playable it actually is.

They could’ve literally left the ability of regenerator, and it would’ve already been better. The fact that they went out of their way to give its mega a crappy ability infuriates me to this day.

Musharna has been good for me. Her, paired with Eviolite Gurdurr with Bulk Up and Drain Punch have gotten me many of victories. Their usually the Defensive Core of my team whenever I feel like going against the meta. I miss when I could pair her Synchronize ability with Heal Bell back in USUM

Mega audino is a fantastic support pokemon during doubles/triple with its wide variety of healing moves.
Musharna was literally one of the best trick room setters in the game that could tank hits, with the only threat being grimmsnarl or any other prankster with taunt setter, its bulk made it a very solid tank mon that allowed it to survive multiple turns and having access to helping hand makes it even more annoying to deal with.
Aurorodon is a little on the mid side but the fact it has refrigerate actually makes it a threat to deal with, sadly the 4x weakness to fighting doesn’t do it justice, in a trick room however it could wipe and setup aurora veil, increase its defense in a sandstorm and literally scream in ice to deal massive damage.
Galar slowbro and his opinion to maje his quickdraw ability activate 50% of the time is the dumbest fucking thing ive heard. Youre wanting to make it better but you made it busted. Being able to not plan for the unpredicted quick claw trigger is valid but thats why you continue to nasty plot and set up your buffs to allow it to survive beforehand.
Probopass is the only one who i agree with. He sucks but even probomario can still do stuff but levitate wouldve helped it hugely
His ideas on how to improve pokemon are making the pokemon who are meant to be SUPPORTS into dps…which is fucking stupid. He doesnt like synchronize on musharna…are you nuts, forewarn literally gives info about what move your opponent is likely to have before rhe battle officially begins and telepathy…in a doubles format…is literally amazing. But he wanted to give unaware because knock off was a problem, despite knowing the tank stats on sleepy tapir… so his solution is to make it even fatter and annoying to deal with? Sure.

Dusknoir is amazing w pain split shadow sneak shadow punch and one of the elemental punches.
Poor base HP really lets it down despite its incredible base defenses and Ghost typing is a double-edged sword. Not to mention existing in the same Generation as the then Ghost type Rotom Appliances who were more versatile and their typing and ability granted them more resistances. Granted, its low HP makes Pain Split a bit more reliable but it's still not that reliable due to lack of a guarantee on effectiveness.
@@ShiningJudgment666 only good games are gen 5 and earlier so in that sense he’s great. Fav Pokémon too so that’s why I like him so much.
