Thanks Cuckoo!! Somehow I imagined this jam would have been edited into a 2 minute 'best of' to hide the fact I had no idea what to contribute ... 😂😂😂 Good times though! 🎧💙👍
Lol, sounds like me. When I record real-time, I usually end up cutting out most of it because I don't know what I want to do... and if I'm on camera, I get too nervous to get into a creative flow. Not many people can just Bob Ross it like Cuckoo does.
Great times were had! We hit some nice moods in there didn’t we? I think is the kind of music that likes to just chill for a bit. Not like a 3.14 minute Pop song ;-)
Loved the talking intro, the buildup, the contemplation, the mishaps. As a newcomer to this, it's really good to see the work as it is, and not the usual insta-filtered, nicely cut jams. Awesome work, you two!
Really appreciate this video not hidding human mistakes and true to live approach. When you're jamming you face some insecurity, and you start making good things when you realize that mistakes brings you to greatness. Just like life
Oh, Bwoi, I really like what you do in general. But who would have guessed you were also into dubtech (Rythm and Sounds style). This jam is a gem, sir. Thanks so much
I make it easy for myself and find the 1 in every loop/ phrase where I wanna cut. Usually I just cut on the bar. I’m using Final Cut Pro X. It’s easy to throw markers in real-time by pressing M at potential edit points. Then go there and fine tune and make the edit.
I work on soundtracks for games... plus the OP-Z can control visuals powered by Unity through the OP-Z app... though I've yet to learn Unity and make my own visuals... ;-) 🎧💙👍
Love you and your work so much, Cuckoo. Incidentally, before I discovered your videos, while I was at drama school (which was affiliated with UAL) I remember seeing this awesome film poster in the hallway at Granary Square. And then years later I found through your videos that it was Tindra’s Light! I’m pretty damn certain it was anyway. Can you confirm this? 😆 Love and respect ❤️🙏🏻 Ben
Wow that’s amazing. The short has been playing in big and small children film festivals around the world. I don’t even know where. Some put up posters (apparently).
Ma ma ma my Corona! I also got this earworm when this all started. Not funny... you guys rock and this shows so much how important input from others is these days!
hello, i'm a songwriter who's main instrument is guitar but i want to create beats and synth parts for my music but struggling to figure out which product would be best . can you do a video of this or comment back to me some ideas. want to merge my analog guitar playing with electronic feel.
The Deluge might be interesting for you? Typically for a guitar player you will literally have your hands full with the guitar, so it might be interesting with an electronic instrument that can play long arrangements. The Deluge has both a robust sample engine and synth engine. So drum samples and melodic arrangements are both good. - If you plan to tweak it more on the fly, and have more hands available during performing, perhaps Digitakt or Octatrack. If you like the idea of super compactness the OP-Z.
I like the OP-1, but at a price point of 1500€ I consider it a scam to rip of hipster who need expensive hipster toys. At least they could have made the keybed velocity sensitive now.

Model:Cycles is a cheap tuner's budget dream box

8:00 Sounds so good! Could listen forever! Thank you guys!
Thank you, that's very kind of you! 🎧💙👍
The loop from the cycles is heaven this needs to be a track
Well done chaps your vibes are going some way to shifting the global musical consciousness into a warm fluffy happy space ❤️🙏🏻
Enjoyable jam and so nice to see a couple of gentlemen just kicking back and sharing the joy of creating music.
Gotta admit I'm turning this on for like the twentieth time just to listen to the amazing music you do there. Would definately buy a vinyl of this
why settle for vinyl when you can have uncompressed digital audio?
Elektron Model:Cycles - that is the new FM box on the right side.
perhaps I want the Cycles after all.......
Thanks for coming together safely to do this sweet little beat, keep the grooves going during this time of isolation:)
Really nice. Thanks both of you!
Great sounds coming out of that Model Cycles!

This is beautiful. Proud owner of the Model: cycles here. I Absolutely love that instrument. Peace guys. ✌🏽🎹❤️

This is a blessed jam. Good stuff.
Music is the spoonful of sugar makes the medicine go down

This jam is a gem, sir.
Thanks so much
nice tones dudes! \m/
Coming from Digitakt and loving it. Is grabbing cycles instead Of digitone a regret waiting to happen ?
Can someone pls make a "How to sync OP1 with Model Cycles video?" 🤯
Love this! Can you explain how to build the OP sound at 4:40 :)
Nice
me encanta .un saludo.
How did you sync these?
Do you have a method for editing to the tempo of the song? Your cuts never interrupt the flow of the performance.

why there is a unity logo on the op-z you guys develop games too?
I work on soundtracks for games... plus the OP-Z can control visuals powered by Unity through the OP-Z app... though I've yet to learn Unity and make my own visuals... ;-) 🎧💙👍
That was a good jam :)

First thank you, but wow what a coincidence! What was the town again?
True Cuckoo You’re most welcome. And it was in Kings Cross in London 😁
Wow that’s amazing. The short has been playing in big and small children film festivals around the world. I don’t even know where. Some put up posters (apparently).
Cuckoo your the man! I am considering model: samples vs OP-Z. I don't have any hardware currently. What would you buy?
OP-Z is a cooler choice in my personal opinion, but model samples has way more sample memory and higher sample audio quality.
Where did you get the oddly shaped mirror? It worked really well keeping the both of you in view at all times. 0)
That was a regular mirror tile from IKEA that broke while moving house... 😂💙👍
If you have a Unity3D sticker on your OP-Z then you should display an interactive animation as well 😀
Wow!!
Cool CoLab!!
Great Press - Keep Pressing - Press Harder - PRESS NOW

96 is so nice...,
Sounded like blank banshee at the start

Favorite BPM? What is the average Bad Brains song? 226bpm?
Hi Cuckoo.
Hope you made it home safe and sound after your jaunt down under.
Hope you can check out my first video jam live in the studio.
Cheers

Ya killed this ! ❄️ ❄️ ❄️Glad I passed through to listen today! Have you got a second to comment on my latest video?
I like the OP-1, but at a price point of 1500€ I consider it a scam to rip of hipster who need expensive hipster toys. At least they could have made the keybed velocity sensitive now.
pcuimac but it works really nice for UA-cam videos.
You don't really see it's worth its price before you use it yourself
This sucked.
