I think the Digitone is a great option too, but I chose the OP-1 because of its workflow and immediacy. I also have a model: cycles, which gives me all the FM sounds I need in a better workflow than the Digitone in my opinion. Having an instrument that enriches my musical process and fits my style is almost more important to me than the sounds the instrument makes. I like the electron workflow, but sometimes I get too caught up in the sequencer and I feel like it takes me out of the zone.

Did you consider the Elektron Digitone better for ambient music than the OP-1?
