In this massive city of 22 million people I really didn't know where to start. Obviously I won't be able to give you a full picture of what the people are like but hey - here's my experience...

SOME TIPS ADAM: Try to be more kind to the lady offering you chile at the caldos de gallina place, dont talk to people like everyone is the guy serving at your table. Those comments about Juan, like he may get you in trouble etc is not cool here. BE HUMBLE. LIKE YOU WOULD BE WITH AVERAGE AMERICAN PEOPLE.

Those new glass bottles of Coke have the new variety that includes as their main ingredient high fructose corn syrup. Totally unhealthy. You want to find the old red labeled bottles that is made with plain sugar. A sign of Americanization of Mexico. One of many, sadly.
I do live in Tláhuac, at the border of México city, seeing my surroundings with schools, water, malls, happy children and listening the guy at the beggining saying a bunch of lies, trying to compare México City with Oaxaca o Guanajuato

2:43 That's a lie I live in the side of México City and I can't tell that people in the luxury side of México City always watched us with repulsion, they think we live in the worst situations but is not, is like a normal city, we got all the services and the cost of life is way cheaper that the Capital and we are just 30 minutes of distance (but the public transport is expensive here), just a street is the separation between México City and my city and half of the population in my city go to work at the capital every day but people in México City is afraid of my city.

@kari.3133 I know who wrote the song , Chucho Monge, wrote it in 1920's , Jorge Negrete made it famous in the 40's , then it has become like a second Mexican hymn.
I love the fact that more and more americans are living here. Maybe that helps improve the bad image Mexico has. Thanks!
