1/2 cup of olive oil
1/2 a Maggie cube
1 Roma tomato
1 TBSP of Haitian spice
4 cups of water
3 pieces of smoked herring
2 cups of yellow polenta
spinach
salt to taste

Hi sweetie, this type of corn meal for mayi moulin is called polenta which is a course, yellow corn meal. Grits are fine, white corn meal. Love your channel, thanks for all you do!

Just made it and it’s sooo good but I think I bought rocks. It took over 40 minutes of cooking the mayi moulin for it to be somewhat close to how soft I like it. I think mine was extra extra coarse

Sometimes you just need more water. You need more water than corn meal.

Took me a little while. I was confused about white grits and polenta.... The taste and texture I think is the difference.
Mayi moulen is not grits, but corn meal
