Wow!! I have always loved the Waterboys song "Bring 'em All In" but never seen it performed until now...this is so beautiful. I have been a huge fan of the Waterboys and Mike Scott from the first time I ever heard them years ago. I am just now discovering the videos available on YT.
Ditto 1983, funny thing was every song released or on albums resonated with my life at the time and for 10 , 20 more years, I feel a connection to them like no other. Its just crazy and awesome and spiritual.
@jemhistoria I was attending an Ayahuasca ceremony last week, and I had just found my way out of the darkness and was going through some troubled waters as I tried to find my way home again when I accedently heard this song, Bring´em all in, playing for the first time in my life. It's a great song, and I love the performance, but the message of the lyrics was the most profound I have ever heard from a song that isn't a religious hymn.
Listening to Belgian npr after midnight I decided not to stick with upcoming next song: Little Lion Man by Mumford and Sons (...) Thanks to Yt I discovered this gem of a gig (great applause too) of BT All In which has an similar intro. The other song (...Breath...) I'd never even heard before ...

His lyric and music come so close that i often wonder; is he me or am i him ? That's how real this music feels and his lyrics apply to life as a whole. From the deepest misery to broken relationships and new loves... Amazing. Listen to his solo-albums too. True gems !
Mike Scott at his BEST!! INTENSE AND POWERFUL!!!!!!!! Steve Wickham's violin smokes as well!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for posting this version...IT IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
absolutely amazing. So real, so raw, so true. I selected one of their songs to play in teh church at my wedding. I do believe in "something out there" but not in the church as an institution...And luckily the priest performing the ceremony had been doing some missionary work and was more interested in the feel, longing then in to institution. Thanks for sharing! PS the song was "What do you want me to do".
Bring 'em all in is one of my all time faveourite songs, it cuts straight to my heart, haven't seen this before so thanks so much for sharing, simply breathtaking! :)

There is serious power in this music.
Decades later and this is still sheer musical poetry. And as powerful now as it was the first time I heard it.
Only just started getting in to The Waterboys. That was excellent.
Excellent indeed 👌🏼
Can't hear or see the Waterboys ever enough. They're unrivaled live performers.

Mike Scott, not Mark Scott...ffs...
On a par with Gerry Rafferty!
Huh….not in the same ball park
is it just me or is Steve trying to be Ron Jeremy in this performance??
That or your trying to be a comedian….and poor one at that
