I might be late but anyway. There is an enemy type who summons 4 copys of him (in the video at 6:50), all of them die when you kill the original, you can spot the original when you do your sensory boost in this mode the original looks different.
Some advanced tips here from beta tester: 1. play the game fast, the faster you move the harder it will be for enemies to hit you and easier to double kill enemies with a single swing 2. Tempest is a panic button that's true. But blink gives you the same versality (kills enemies and saves you from bullets) but has 1 advantage: it repositions you. Thanks to it you can blink hight pioryty targets while saving your mobility and getting into advantageous position 3. Slide boost is a thing if you don't know how to do it here's how: while running you slide and at the moment you feal your momentum is the highest (at the beginning of the slide) you jump. Train it for 10min and you should get it. 4. Advanced dash boost: you can get momentum so huge that it lets you skip Manny jumps that normally you whould need to use grapple for plus it's your best tool for moving fast here's how you do it: first learn slide boost, when you start feeling it well you can start adding dashes before slide so you dash then imidietly slide and jump gaining enormous momentum. 5. The easy approach is boring if you think about it as a puzzle then you will surrender on hard mode just goo in at full speed remember where enemies are and slash everything at full speed. Why I said remember where they are? Because you don't need to see them in order to kill them. You can turn roughly at their last position and if they are there you will kill them.

How 'bout the ledge jump? If you dash or slide over a ledge, you maintain the momentum You can also cross over large gaps with this speedrun technique There's also the Dash->Slide->Jump technique that makes you jump over MASSIVE distances (with the right timing) that has saved ALOT of time for speedrunners and for normal players!
Personally I'm a big fan of surge and for a long time I thought blink was useless because most of the time you couldn't lock onto multiple enemies but then I started searching stuff up and watching youtube and I've found if someone can use it right blink can be deadly and I've seen it used to beat some areas I struggled with a lot, after seeing this I honestly don't think there are any ability's that are superior to each other because each can be used in different situations but you'll definitely find a favourite and I do have to say tempest is extremely handy I think if your struggling on an area though try using an ability you don't use a lot maybe even upgrade yourself to enhance the ability because you never know it might be your next favourite ability
Another tip (for any apex players you’ll know this), you can get a huge speed boost if you slide off the very edge of any object I.e. ledges and boxes!
You sir have no idea how much you have just saved me lol. I'm a BIG Apex player (Octain Main) and can not play Apex due to where we just moved (satellite linked wifi)and this games is GREAT in my opinion but THIS tip just got me through literally 20 levels almost perfectly
blink is the best it can help carry momentum and sweep rooms. Also there is an upgrade that can allow you to use the ability twice which can be crazy to help you move through a room
Best. Tips. Ever!!! I knew I was missing something about dash, but it felt so inconsistent that trial and error was not helping. Your explanation is exactly what I needed to progress -- Thank You!
i noticed that to take care of the guys that make holograms of themselves, you used surge or would slice all of them until you got the real one. as a quick tip, when in sensory boost the real one is easily distinguishable.
I like the boss on gatekeeper. It was interesting. Not even really a fight, just a difficult puzzle. Those lasers were definitely a pain in the ass but I got through it a lot faster than I recon most people did. I haven't died more than like 50 times in any level so far. I also rarely use sensory boost, I just force myself to gain faster reaction times.
One tip I would recommend people. Is do a few main story missions to adapt to the mechanics and then go to the Wave Run. It's pretty good to get to know enemies, their weaknesses and ways to beat them. It's challenging but as it's a close space you have to learn how to deal with enemies fast. In my case I focus more on dash upgrades because I rarely use the skills apart from blink and I rarely find a situation where blink actually saves my lige

this is just my opinion on the specifics of this game, as someone who has completed the game I can say that upgrades don't rly matter as I forgot about them most of the game. as for the abilities, I used them as sparingly as possible, sometimes not at all on some levels. my next tip is to master the movement, from playing through the game I've learned that your sensory boost and dash abilities recharge instanly whenever you touch a surface, so, use these to your advantage movement wise, also learn slide cancelling too it will be very useful. and lastly, this is more of a suggestion , but I only used sensors boost when dodging projectiles and in some mid air puzzled.once again this is just my input and you could totally disagree with me and that's fine.

I'm way late to the game but the biggest tip I can give is to not be afraid to put the controller down. Especially on that one level (People who have played the game will know which level I'm talking about). If you're stuck on something sometimes it's best to take a break and get back at it later with a fresh mindset. Another tip I can give, for the walking robots who shoot the line of barrels at you: the best way I've figured out how to deal with them is to get as close as possible before they fire, jump and use the bullet-time trick to dodge. The closer you are the shorter that line is.
one of the biggest problems I think tho, is the inconsistency, sure treat enemies like a puzzle but that puzzle changes, you can do the exact same thing two times in a row and something different will happen.
Personally, I like surge because it’s not a panic button and is sometimes hard to use, to make the game just a tad harder. Not saying tempest is bad btw. :>
I'm new to the game and I'm a bit confused about the cooldown timer/meter on the bottom left hand corner. There's meter that fills up the sides of the hexagon, and there's the hexagon itself that fills up as well. It seems like both have to be full for you to use your special abilities. What's the difference between the two meters and how do they fill up?
