    THAT’S how you do this!!!!! I always just ran the serger normally after this and it NEVER WORKED! No wonder. Now I understand. Invaluable. Thx so much

      Once I have learned this way, I have never done it another way! So happy to share the knowledge! Hope this makes changing serger thread much easier for you! 💚

    I've been doing this for years on my home serger. I now operate a 10 thread embroidery machine in a gift shop. The same process makes threading those machines so much easier. They are pickier about threading than a serger ever thought about being.

      🤣 I'm sure your embroidery machine makes it really fun! Lol. So happy to hear this works with other machines. I do it with my coverstitch also.💚

    I really like to thread my serger. That’s how I know it to it’s core and play with all it’s possibilities. 😅 I’m crazy I know. I’m “no one”.

    Oh geeze no wonder it didn't work for me - LOL i was putting scrap fabric under and running the serger. Hahahaha don't know why I didn't think to release the tension and pull through. I will always do it your way now. I often have woolly nylon on my loopers and that stuff broke every time the way I was doing it. Thanks you are a legend 🥰

      Got to be careful with those tension parts! So happy you have found this helpful! Now onto joyful serging! Lol. 💚

    1st write down the current tension settings. Loosen all tension dials to zero. Lift the presser foot. Pull threads through. Cut knot before threads reach needles. Re thread needles. Return tension dials to previous setting. If you don't loosen tension dials, chance of thread breaking increases.

      Great tip! I have not had a problem with loosing my knot if I ease it through the tensions. I do see how this would help on some machines tho! 💚

    This is amazing!! I’m going to try this method asap! Will this work for coverstitch machines as well? Thanks 💜

      Yay! I really hope that it helps you! Yes! I do this with ALL of my machines including my coverstitch! Why thread when you don't have to! Lol. Hope it works out great for you! 💚

      Okay great thanks!! Yes!! Bc I definitely loathe threading my machines 🤣😩

    Apparently even when I do this, it doesn’t always work out right. I pull out my manual and thread based on the instructions. Either way threading the two needles always has me 😣

    • @creativecostumeacademy
      @creativecostumeacademy  4 місяці тому

      really!? Maybe your knot isn't strong enough? you do always have to thread the needles, but the little needle threaders might help with that.💚

      @@creativecostumeacademy I have had more success with the surgeons knot. But I actually have come to prefer just threading from scratch. Less frustration overall. The little tweezers are the best for moving the thread to the back when threading and then threading the needle 🪡 💪🏻

      @@elizabeth4053 What ever gets it done with the least amount of Frustration is the best way in my opinion. 🙌💚
