    Great video and THANK YOU for getting into the history of the muscle cars, and how the V6 has become a great engine. All you hear is: "iS tHaT a v8 hEmiii??" from people that don't even know what that means. In fact, many times when you tell them it's a V6 they are blown away. Thanks again!

    I'm sorry...I have a hard time believing a throttle body with no tune dropped your 0-60 that much. And this is coming from someone who had a v6 and modded the hell out of it.
    Without a tune and just a CAI, I was able to get constant 5.7s. It took getting a 91 octane tune, a 79mm ported throttle body, momentum GT CAI, wider rear tires and some weight reduction to get to 5.2 and that was on good days. My average was 5.4 0-60. I dynoed it and drag raced at the strip as well.
    I know it depends on elevation and all that but to see an increase that big, once again coming from someone who had a 2016 SXT challenger with 3.07 gears, is odd.

      Thank You For Your Comment ... I have stated in more recent videos that I never got that low a time again ... however I did the 0-60 pull and thats what it showed on the dash I was never able to repeat it ... I wouldn't post a time that the car didn't show ... that was my dash and my car you can check and compare mileage on my videos ... however again it could have been a fluke because I never got that low a time again.

    I got a '13 Charger SE. So far I have a 80mm throttle body, AFE cold air intake, cherry bomb vortex muffler & glasspacks, 87 tune. I just got my pypes exhaust system. Still need to install my lower intake manifold from Steve White & RIPP's 180 degree thermostat & coil packs. I'll tune it to 93 octane after that & most likely get a custom tune from Hemi Fever. I'm running 255's in the front & 275's in the rear. I plan on getting it dyno'd after I finish modding it to see what I'm putting down at the wheel.

Super easy takes 30 seconds to do the throttle relearn its also on BBKs website to print off

    Just watching this video, it sounds like a whole lot of BS to me. I have a 2018 Dodge Challenger SXT. I have a CAI, Ripp coil packs, rear muffler delete, and a Pedal Commander throttle response controller. My best time is 6 seconds with launch control consistently. The video you showed for your 0-60 is 6.8 seconds. That's slower than stock because my best time was 6.3 when it was stock. I timed your video literally as soon as you put your pedal to the floor and got to 60. You're not fooling me that those mods are all it takes to gain such a decrease in time. Hell, I would've believed you if you were even below 6 seconds, but that was a terrible display of your 0-60. You did your test on a steep downhill to get that 5 sec time. So if you truly wanna prove a point, show me a video of your 0-60 on a leveled back road.

    @johnalexander7457 4 роки тому +4

    yeah im gonna need proof that you actually got 0-60 in 5 seconds. I can find any hill and set my timer to get it that low. i'm not saying it's impossible to go 0-60 in 5 seconds in a v6, just not with the limited mods you have. A v8 hemi goes 0-60 in 5 seconds. That puts down 375 horses. You're telling me you added 75 horses with a CAI and a throttle body? I don't think so.

    • @MoparDad84
      @MoparDad84  4 роки тому +1

      No I didnt at 70 hp with my mods but I am about 500 pounds lighter than an RT ... I also dont have as bad a wheelspin problem as a V8 Hemi ... I pull 0-60 5 sec consistently

    • @johnalexander7457
      @johnalexander7457 4 роки тому

      Mopar Dad 84 that’s what I’m saying. If you pull 5 seconds consistently you should have no problem providing proof. Because I have a V6 challenger, 2015, I’m running a CAI right now, about to go put my super 10 mufflers on and take the resonators off. And if what you say is true, then my next mod will be a throttle body. But I’m gonna need proof before I spend $300. Because it looks like the only difference between our cars is the exhaust and the throttle body. I’m running 5.7 currently. I find it hard to believe that a throttle body and cutting off 50 pounds increases the 0-60 by almost a second.

    • @MoparDad84
      @MoparDad84  4 роки тому

      @@johnalexander7457 I have taken about 100 pounds off my car in total check my other videos and I also show proof in my video my 0-60 timer shows 5 seconds flat that is my only way of testing my 0-60 currently. A stock RT is 5.1 rating and a stock V6 Camaro is a 5.1 rating.

    • @MoparDad84
      @MoparDad84  4 роки тому +1

      John Alexander Every car is different even if they are the same year make and model. The BBK made the biggest noticeable difference for me. Changing the exhaust doesnt always help performance sometimes it hurts it a little but most do it just for the sound. When I got 5.0 0-60 it was 30 degrees outside that makes a big difference when you have a CAI and TB. I would have to do some more mods to hit that now with it being in the 70s and 80s.

  • @ryanthomas3554
    @ryanthomas3554 4 роки тому +2

    You’re saying it dropped your 0-60 time by 0.7 seconds? Not calling you a liar, but that would take like an extra 75 horsepower. Sean at Hemifever told me an aftermarket throttle body only adds a whopping 8 horsepower and to get that requires an adjustment to the tune. So I passed on this mod. But as long as you’re happy with your car that’s all that matters though.

    • @MoparDad84
      @MoparDad84  4 роки тому +3

      Thanks for the comment ... results vary depending on where you live and what mods you have. That 5.0 second 0-60 was my best ever pull typically I'm in the low to mid 5s in the WINTER TIME ... SUMMER is a different story ... currently running 5.8 0-60 at 75 -80 degrees outside ... but I run the car all year round and it LIKES COLD AIR 30 degrees or less ... currently I have CAI Exhaust BBK Throttle Body and RIPP coil packs ... the BBK Throttle Body shows a 14hp increase and doesn't require a tune only a throttle reset that takes 30 seconds after install.

    • @ryanthomas3554
      @ryanthomas3554 4 роки тому +2

      Not sure the amount of power gained is worth $500 to me. At least it’s a do-it-yourself type deal, but I’ve already spent way too much money on my car as it is. BTW, you’re right, these Hemi’s definitely love colder air!
