I agree. And when I saw this movie, I was sure that Jeffrey Dean Morgan was gonna be the next Steve McQueen , Charles Bronson, or Clint Eastwood! And then he's on a zombie show!! Wow. Go figure.
i thought it was well done and the acting was really exceptional. it drew you in. the actors did such great job of keeping you involved. the 2 detective actors were amazing and the girl ann amazing facial expressions. the music was perfect. it was their take on the real story and i was riveted. its a quality movie that took you on an amazing journey.
Michael Mann’s daughter directed this flick it and she are terribly underrated
@Rhythmesque - This isn't a Michael Mann film, but his daughter Ami Canaan Mann directed it. Hopefully, she learned a few things from her father.

@@Phelps-1247 he doesn’t know he’s just spewing bullshitzo. This was filmed on location of the fields. Search it up. I live by the fields and I remember all the camera crew being there so don’t listen to Nicole!
@@Phelps-1247it was shot in Texas. That area looks a lot like Louisiana. There are bayous and oak trees with Spanish moss.

This movie had some very incompetent cops in it.
Screw up after screw up. If they were halfway competent they could’ve closed in on the suspects faster and would’ve saved a lot of pain.
It was kind of annoying how incompetent the two main detectives were. And the movie had quite a few plot holes and things that didn’t make sense or were never explained
Hollywood man. Making films. Doesn't mean that's exactly how it all went down. JS
Don't remember it being ended so badly. The blind guy with the tattoos apparently gets away and the relationship between the detective that got shot and Ann seems to have unresolved conflict which is not clear.

Acting is fine but the story has holes.
What were Levon and Rule up to ? What was their crime? Why did that woman burn the car in the garage? Who's blood was on the car seat ?

I know Brian Heigh and Mike Louder, and I knew one of the victims. The funny thing is.. Mike Louder had nothing to do with this case, whatever. Absolutely Nothing! So Sam Worthington is playing a character that didn't even exist on this case 😂!! He was even credited before Jeffrey Dean Morgan! Wow. BTW the real Brian Heigh did a split second cameo, walking into brian Heigh's office and putting papers on his desk. Anyway .. it made me quite angry when I saw this movie, and for the real Mike Louder getting credit. nuff sed.

Little Miss Vampire/Hit-Girl had a faster growth spurt than when we spotted Dakota Fanning in Push. Good to see Chloe mixing it up with the heavy weights, watching this in the cinema for sure.
Netflix needs to take this garbage down and add some good movies which will be worth our time! Don't fall for the "based on true event" trap bc it's a bait. It's a snoozefest where two rogue cops go around randomly beating people up and missing important leads. In the meantime some teenager confused af keeps mooching off the town making it very obvious she is the next target. It's all over the place and might give you migraine! Only saving grace was Jessica Chastain but even she hams it up which will get on your nerve in no time.The dialogue was super plain and boring! 😡

why cant same worthington do an aussie accent and him being a a movie that is like multicultural hes got like a great aussie accent and i wouldnt sound sterio type as the other americans and our aussie accent its pretty similar to american its just our duration of saying a word isnt as long as u guys

It's a real unsolved case so they don't know what happened that's the point.
@@nikivory6891 That's right but that's not the only problem though. This movie was full of plotholes which OP pointed out! It was loosely based on the real events but the direction and acting was awful to say the least. Things just keep happening super randomly and there was absolutely no explanation for any of it. It's very choppily made and slow as heck without building up a story! The director obfuscated between neo noir and true crime. Such a waste of time!
