All these videos offering the reason of “you were programming your door and neighbor happened to use their remote at the same time”, it’s such nonsense. The chance of that happening is so slim. My in-laws are having this problem. They did not reprogram anything. They have one working remote. They were away with their car for a few hours(with the remote). Came home to an open door. There has to be either a malfunctioning opener or someone hacked the remote and is intentionally opening the door. Any other ideas??
Yes, my Craftsman just started opening on its own, and it was NONE of these ideas. I took the batteries out of all the remotes, wiped out the memory on my "Homelink" car transmitter, and everything, and at any hour, including MIDNIGHT, it would just randomly open. What seems to have fixed it, now 4 hours into the fun, is that I pushed the green button on the head unit and ZEROED OUT all the memory on transmitter recognition. So far, I've re-learned my transmitter outside the garage, and it's trouble-free. SOMETHING corrupted the memory on the head unit, or so it seems, SO, MAYBE TRY THAT.
Thanks for explaining nothing on how to fix the issue 🤨
Facts
Thx. Mine was due to a remote that had gotten wet and was shorting itself/sending an open signal

That did not work he programmed his new car door opener and I can’t erase that I guess. What do I do?
