    Thank you so much.

Thank you for this video! This was the same button configuration on my door opener, manual long since gone from 3 owners ago. The steps you performed didn’t work for me initially. I kept going through the comments to find others who noted that combers and leaves blocking the sensors were the culprit. After some trial and error, I discovered it was the pull rope a former owner had tied to the bottom of the door to operate it manually. It was swinging into the path of the sensor. I secured it to the door to keep it out of the way, and now the door functions properly!

You are welcome, and awesome job making it a DIY project and pinpointing the swinging rope as the culprit.

After learning that it's possible to adjust the limits, now the garage closes tight. I probably didn't need to replace the weather strip.*

Hello Sir! I used the tips on your video and no matter how many times I try, the garage door just won't stay shut and opens back up. It almost wants to close then opens back up even after programming the travel system. Am I missing something? Any help would be appreciated so much. Thanks!

My lift master wall button stopped working, no light, I switched it out , the light came on when I connected the wires, but it wouldn’t work the garage door. I’m sending it back to Amazon, IDK what else to try, if it’s a program issue I have no idea how to do it. Im just using my remote now. If you have any suggestions I’d appreciate it, I don’t want to pay hundreds for something I could do myself.

Thanks for watching, that’s no fun. There should be instructions to reprogram your wall mounted push button mechanism. Likely in owners manual.
If that doesn’t work, we recommend unplugging motor from ceiling outlet and leaving disconnected for 5 minutes…this will reset your control board inside motor housing.

Also disconnect the door (handle) with the manual pull and reattach it. mine had so much tension on it I believe that was the culprit.
