The answer is pretty clear. The people are nice and Nature is stunning. It is also pretty different compared to Thailand and Vietnam. Laos is a must seen.

I have a few friends visiting Luang Prabang for their second time right now. My first trip to Laos, Vientiane was about 20 years ago, and I have visited several times since then, but I have never left that city . Savanakhet, which is towards the south side of the country is rather quiet, which is easily accessible from Thailand via Mukdahan. Luang Prabang looks very relaxing.

I like the French colonial architecture in Luang Prabang. The small charming town has a European feel to it. Mountains and river set the background.

I often heard most foreigners refer to Lao as county/people. As it's the correct way to call Laos, it's for the country, and Laotian is for the people.

That was fun and some great interviews. I thought with the first one, the young English guy, you could easily have downed tools, crossed over to a beer garden and had a real good chat together and half a dozen bottles of beer Lao. Yeah mate the train is new, back in 2019 is was a work in progress and we travelled by bus. In a few years arround 2026 it should be finished all the way yo bangkok, so you can get the fast train from Bangkok to China, looking forward to that episode Chai 😉

Glad you're enjoying Luang Prabang Champ. It's the place i learned not to arrive with any pre expectations! Must admit, i came back to Chiangmai on bended knees and kissed the pavement. But the guy with the striped shirt drinking the wrong beer seemed happy enough 😂

Ey champ 🏆 yes sure 😃 this place is 10 minutes walk from the night market (in the center): Santisouk Guest House 2/ g.co/kgs/M8eHCC great staff, clean and good breakfast for what you’re paying 🤗 I hope it helps
My Lao Home is also a reasonably good option in the middle of town. Rooms start from around the $15 a night range.

buddy wts the internet speed like?? i work online, so can i move there?? my only concern is internet.
The hotels mainly have really bad internet but the phone providers do have it fast. You’ll be able to get a sim card and use your hotspot. Mind you this is only in the city’s. Most of Laos has still bad reception. Stick with the bigger cities and you will be perfectly fine. (Also “a lot” coffee shops do often offer high speed internet) I hope it helps 🏆

Luang Prabang is way to hot. foods is $$ and isn’t as goods as foods in Vientiane.
