THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR TAKING THE TIME TO POST THIS! I am working on putting a name on the back of a jersey and thought it would be so cool to have a border like this. I just had no clue how to search for it and finally found your video. Thank you again :)
Thank you Lisa. This was a great video. I love the little videos on just one subject. They really bring home the info learned on all your other videos. Above all, your Webinars are great.
Your video was fantastic! Being able to do this is one of the reasons I got Silhouette software to design SVGs for my Cricut. Design Space is not very powerful. Thank you!
Learned something new here. Thanks. Now I feel like I'd better go do it right away before I lose the memory of it. Ditto to the person who shsaid she likes these little short videos. I would love to see something on the internal offset.

Great videos! For the top one, how would I go about cutting out of with the white cut out? When I try it just cuts the outline. I'd like help with "subtract" feature.

Hi I'm new with cameo I do wood signs and I noticed that vinyle is not that strong as paint so my question is Can I use vinyle for stencil? What will be the adjustment? Thanks
Hi! Yes, you can use vinyl to make a stencil. We use FDC Decal Vinyl for that. Our recommended cut settings are Blade Depth: 3, Speed: 10, Force: 4. Hope that helps! - TRW Shannon
Thank you so much. I'm having trouble cutting this. Whether I choose cut, or cut edge, Silhouette wants to cut the inside of the text I've created, not just around the offset. What could I be doing wrong?
I was about to ask the same question.....I have some wording that is script that I'm using print and cut for an inkjet design, and I only want it to cut the offset; but it keeps cutting the offset AND the script lettering...HELP!!!!
@@JoniThurber I finally figured it out on my own! When I send it to cut, I click on the area that I do NOT want cut, and click the "no cut" on the right hand side. Just a little trial and error!!

To get a tight enough fill you'd need to hand place them. ua-cam.com/video/6xvBbOWGx90/v-deo.html We do have rhinestone fonts if you want a simpler less bulky look, then hand place the scatter. The bad part is if you make a template for a name, or a scatter around a name, then that template is only good for that particular name. -TRW Crystal
Is this just for tee shirt or heat transfers? I am trying to figure out how to do something like this with cardstock. I have no idea how to start. I want to make word signs for a bulletin board.
are you saying control c or z and I can't bring out the black after you say the letter and how do you cut it do you take it apart and press each layer?
Im trying to figure out how to use internal offset. What im wanting to do is the cut to not show the border of say my square image so cut is a bit inside the border to not show the border
Oh, you mean like turning on the bleed setting. Internal offset is just like the external but opposite. What I would do is click the internal offset, set the area you want with the slider. I'll use your box as an example. I drew a box and I made it black. I did internal offset and made that inside box lime green. Now group them and go to Send. Look at the menu in Send. Click the one that says Fill. This will show you a list of your colors and options to turn off that black box's cut line and keep the internal offset one, the lime green we made. The machine doesn't know or care about if what you're cutting has been printed and you're using registration marks, such as a family photo. It only sees what you want it to cut. So don't worry about turning that family photo into the lime green box, it will just do what you ask of it on whatever media you've loaded. -TRW Crystal
Hi there! Yes, you would cut them separately (or on the same mat with two different colors on it, in different places). You would then layer them, starting with the bigger piece. - TRW Haley
I have one name I want to put on a yeti cup with HTV anything on bottom and then glitter then easy weed ( two diff colors ) I know it’s going to be to think so how would I offset ( hollow out ) same name 4 times ?
Hi Brenda! After creating your first offset, with the newest offset still selected, click to add another one and so forth until you have all layers that you want. Also, our new Shadow fonts make this process super simple! Check them out on the front page of our website! - TRW Haley
The font used here isn't one we carry, but this TRW Flutter Shadow font is a close match: www.therhinestoneworld.com/shadow-font-family?option=511784&redirect=1 Thanks for watching, hope this helps! -TRW Erika
When I open a png image from photoshop and do an off set, it still marks a line around the image plus the offset. So it then cuts 2 lines, the one around the shape and also the offset line. how do i fix this.

What did you say the Font was called please
I heard dalint or Dallas
Can this also be used for layering a text?
Yes, the main purpose is that, as well as giving you that contour effect.

In your send panel, make sure "Cut Edge" is selected. That should keep it from cutting the lines on the inside of the design.
