Thank you Becky! Can you explain, How to do that on the glow Forge? To cut the outside (boarder)but engrave the letters? How do I set that up on a glowforge?
Hey Li! The key to separate parts of your design is changing each area to a different line color. Then when you import into Glowforge, you can select the separate areas and choose which to engrave and which to cut. Hope this helps! ---Becky ua-cam.com/video/MlgSXvMJrss/v-deo.html
I have an initial that have a flower that runs through it, I’m using vinyl and it sized for a shot glass what is the best way to 1 cut it 2 weed it so I can the use the armor etch cream.
Hi there! To use the etch cream, you want to weed out the flower part and then apply the larger piece to your glass. Then, paint on a thick coat of the etching cream. - Dawn 🙂
Hi Becky. Since I am going to print and cut this on design space. What should I select on the PAGE SETUP. Where it shows the words MACHINE, CUTTING, MEDIA SIZE??
Hi Susie! We have so many wonderful rainbow patterns in stand alone SVG form or even digital paper! You can find them here: designbundles.net/search?search=rainbow+pattern+svg - Dawn 🙂

Why does my offset create a box around my image instead of outlining the image? I just want the image to have a small outline but it creates a rectangle instead.
Can you tell me why the Offset tool isn't thickening my font uniformly? I am using Monotype Corsiva and offset of .05 (I am not setting the corners at all). For a given letter, the offset thickens parts of the letter more than other parts ... and sometimes even rounds the thickening. Do you have any advice/hope for me?
I would check to see if it is set for an internal offset or an outside offset. You will want to make sure you have the regular offset button clicked. 😊
I have added an offset but then wanted to edit it again. Whenever I go back I get another offset. Can you go back to edit an original offset you made? Or even see its settings so you can repeat it on another word? Thanks
Just what i was looking for. But when i hit subtract it erases almost all of my bottom word..what am i doing wrong...HELLLPPP PLZ thanks for all of your content

Hi Vicki! "Compound path" is a term used that tells your design program that you are using different lines to form one object. It's similar to grouping but with a compound path the inner lines are embedded into the design allowing a design to be filled with color. If you have any other questions, let us know! 😊
Hello everyone one. At 2:45 in the video she moved the design to print the outline or fill first. My question is: Is it possible to simply hide a layer (instead of moving the layer)? I ask because it seem as if it'll be difficult to put everything back (especially if one have a complex design). I will greatly appreciate anyone who can help me with this.
