Becky, you are truly the best teacher on Silhouette. You are so clear, explicit, direct to the point, and cover the most important topics. I learn so much with you. From the bottom of my heart : a warm thank you. Merci !
I totally agree with you. I'm a visual and auditory learner but some voices do distract me a lot, hers it's pleasant to listen to and she knows what she's doing.
Me too, I just got a cameo 4 and I'm lost most of the time and don't know what to do, but with her videos it's much easier to understand all those features.
Just want to let you know that you are an excellent teacher for people that get these machines as gifts and have no idea how to make it work or make it do what we want once we do! So far the scoreboard is machine 5 woman 2. THIS is about to change right quick after watching your different videos!
Hi Jasmine! Thank you for watching with us. If you have any questions, let us know! We are here to help. With all of the text effects within Silhouette, you have so many options to personalize your projects!
I use the layering all the time on tumblers, but I’ve never been able to remember how to do make curved text. My mind was blown by how simple your explanation was! I’ve had my Cameo 3 & Cameo 4 for years, but I’ve been too intimidated by the software to actually use them. Your tutorials are a Godsend for me! Thank you. Thank you. THANK YOU!!!❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much for all your tuto videos! I am new to silouhette just getting the cameo 5 (not yet arrived) so in the meantime was looking at the studio basic software to get used to it and realised I need to train myself to use and do things and found your tuto videos and I am so grateful for all the work and time you put into to it and share with all !!!! Thank you
I've used my cameo for years and have the 1st machine....ive just upgraded to cameo 4 so thought I'd watch upgrading videos and your showing me things I didnt even know.....thankyou
I really enjoyed your video it was very helpful tips and easy to follow along with. Thank you so much for sharing really appreciate you being here specially for people who are new to Silhouette Studio like me.
Hello , Excellent tutorial, I have Cricut and Silhouette Business Edition. I have been struggling trying to use Silhouette business edition. Silhouette has many more avenues for success without having to buy a subscription to a particular feature. The manner in which fonts are placed on items can make them pop or be a dud. The glyphs oh my give me grief. I am going to begin simply practicing with Silhouette with your tutorials. Thank you,
Love this video, wish there was a way to slow..slow...slow down parts of this video to follow along with it. Just learning studio...these really help a lot.
I agree I've only had my Silhouette Cameo 4 days 😢 and I'm about ready to return it because this is a big learning curve and it's hard to follow. Especially the curving. I cannot get to the EDIT to get the little black round circle to get the font to curve. I got the circle but DOUBLE CLICKING DOES NOT BRING UP THAT LITTLE ROUND BLACK CIRCLE. SO FRUSTRATED with this and other cutting issues and I have the Cameo 4 and it was $367.00 way to much to not be able to get it to work correctly. Thinking of sending it back & getting my money back.
LOVE your teaching method. I pick up helpful procedures every video. Maybe just a little feedback, slow the mouse down a bit so we can see what you are selecting? I have had to pause and rewind 10 to 12 times on this video alone to see what you actually selected. But once I see, I pick up the skill quickly. Keep being amazing.
Hi Becky, This is my second video I have watched of yours all I can say is WOW WOW WOW, I have learnt a lot, I might not remember it all but I know were to go to find the info. TFS, Cheers Anna.
I fell so much more informed about text now. Thank you🙌🏽. One suggestion is highlighting your cursor I saw that in one video if made all the difference. ❤️
Love your videos, but if you do more, does your software have a mouse highlighter? Sometimes you move REALLY fast, and it's hard to see where you're at before you're moving someplace else. But am learning so much from you, so thank you!
Thanks so much. I'm new to Silhouette Studio (I used Make the Cut for years, have been using DS lately but not thrilled with it). I hope I can ask this question so it makes sense. I'm making a cake topper and using her name as the focal point. I also need a solid larger outline of the name to glue the cut name to. I used Donkey Stone font for the letters (they did not touch - I did than on purpose). I used offset but that put the offset around each individual letter. I couldn't figure out how to have a solid offset that would still follow the letter's shape. So I used the offset with the holes from the letters and put circles over the holes and welded them to the offset shape. This worked for I wanted to know if there's a feature I could have used to do this or and easier way, etc. Thanks so much.
Hi Cathy! You can increase the size of the offset when you click the button there will be a sliding scale which you can increase to have the offset be the entire size of the word! - Dawn 🙂
Becky, I love your teaching style. I am confused on one point however. When you are doing that outside edge one (green) You click at one point and say "I use a nice green color and take that off" What are you taking off? I have watched repeatedly and that point has me stumped. (brand new to Silhouette, sorry if you need to hold my hand!) I really do appreciate your teaching and your videos. Thank you!
Great question and I'm glad you enjoy the videos! I am usually talking about the red line color, for some reason it really bugs me to leave it on and I remove it for the majority of my designs (it's just a visual thing for me). Hope this helps! ---Becky
Awesome video... THANK YOU !!! One thing I am confused about or wanna be sure on.... When you add the outline it will cut this way? You still have to layer it by hand for this look correct?
Hi Bec! I am new in your Chanel, and a newbie in silhouette. I’m trying to do the layering and change color to two different colors like you do, and it’s quite hard for me, sometimes it is can be done, and sometime no. I am very confused how did you do that. Help.
@Design Bundles I'm sure everyone already knows this but, in basic edition can I type Welcome and them cope the word and now change the copied version to Home? When I attempt the only thing I seem to be able to do is delete letters
Hi there! Are you looking to create a shadow effect with the text? Could a shadowed font work for your project like this for example: fontbundles.net/plusstore/1621274-just-shadow-a-shadow-only-display-craft-font#gtmList=5>mPos=5&aaQ=1991ad009a1163ad5ae91d57e8695071&aaI=product_trending ?
Love the helpful videos but I do have a question about the bottom layering which you left white and it’s a bolder outline..with htv when you cut it will it cut the outside and then weed the inside of the letters so the shirt shows through? Example if you cut layering in white htv and place on black shirt black would show through the letters? New to making t-shirts
you are the best teacher - is there a way in silhouette to make an offset or shadow on a word that isn't the same all the way around? in other words it is more of a shadow than offset
@@DesignBundles I knew you would know the answer to my question! thanks so much!!! game changer info. Now i just have to locate which button is the shadow icon.

I am really enjoying your videos thank you, but I have to ask as I hate using rolls. Where oh where did you get those 12x12 racks that hold all of your sheets?

I'll be honest, the shipping is outrageous because they ship as one piece, and sometimes your vinyl will get caught on the racks in the back.
