Good suggestion! Next one I'll tackle will be lubricating and/or replacing my speedo cable. It recently started making noise.
Replace it it's so cheap and easy to do I just swapped a slant 6 into a 80 w150 and the plastic on it just fell apart
Timing-I just brought a brake fluid testing pen to keep ahead of the brake fluid changes. Your way of replacing the ps fluid and brake fluid are a whole lot cleaner than the turkey baster or water bottle method. Maintenance is so much easier than repairs!
Yes indeed!
I need to do all these items and more on my old dodge! Maybe after winter.
I pretty much hated doing brake flushes until now. 👍
great quality video as always.
that's a really nice truck, and cool video too. Thanks
Hey you’re welcome!
reminds me to do my brake fluid but i think i will wait for the summer lol
Pretty darn easy with the fluid extractor. 👍
Hey there Jason, thanks for sharing this nice video with us, your viewers!
On another note, have you had any more problems with your Honda lawn mower, you know, the one in that video where you changed out the crankshaft?
Nope. My dad has it now and it hasn’t had any issues.

Awesome videos and rig Jason. How has that alloy works radiator been treating you? Considering one for my ‘86
All good! No leaks or issues and the engine has stayed cool even in very hot weather.
@@JasonExplainsThings awesome to hear, thanks!
"Pride yourself in taking great care of your vehicles!" Me: "...Yeah! Sure! No executive dysfunction here!"
Hey Jason, you are awesome! I'm going to replace my 1986 Dodge Ram 150 Royal SE radiator using your videos, thank you!
On another note, I'm going through batteries quickly. I don't drive her regularly but I do start her up weekly. She's drawing the battery somehow. What can do to find the source?
Stalled in Washington,
Betty
Too many variables to guess that one! Any installed accessories? That’s what’s caused that for me in the past.
The original radio is still in it so no accessories 😅
The fuel pump for the 89-90 is my current headache. Looking for whole assembly any tips appreciated.
dont know if that that year had an electric pump or not but alot of people replace the mechanical one with an electric pump closer to the tank.
My gear box was choppy, and at idle would barely turn the wheels. The fuid was changed, and it fixed all my issues. The fluid was disgusting.
Nice. Yeah I did a video about that as well a while back.
My dodge 90 d150 keeps bogging and I can’t figure out what it is
Fuel filter?
either lack of fuel or too much fuel
Do a compression test and get your fuel system checked out....
If it's your TBI get it replaced as soon as possible. The stock ones tend to go out. I bought my 88 318 d100 from a guy who ran it with a bad tbi for so long, the cylinders wore out due to the TBI dumping loads of fuel in the cylinders. It ran like total ass and it had sporadic idle like it had copd and wouldn't go if I put my foot on it.
The guy ripped me off but the body was mint. These dodges in western Canada are usually rotted the fuck out. It runs great now that I rebuilt it lol
