It reminds me A LOT of the old Yamaha TDM 850/900, which was a bike I used to drool over when I was a kid. With the added italian spice and performance, I can say it is a dream of a bike, even though Moto Guzzi isn't even present in my country. Amazing bike!

Love my air cooled Guzzis. I do like the upspec suspension on the new bike though. Four of my 5 bikes are air or air/oil cooled. Not really interested in liquid cooling unless they do an amazing job hiding the radiator. The radiator kills the looks of many motorcycles IMO.
@@parsivalshorse , somehow Moto Guzzi passed Euro 5 with air cooled. Royal Enfield passed Euro 5 with air cooled. Kawasaki still produces an air cooled dual sport. Harley is still making the M8 air cooled. So, it can be done.
@@Dave-sw2dm The whole point of this bike for Moto Guzzi is to produce a real 21st century Sport tourer that can compete with the rest of the market. Air cooled is great for retro bikes, but that is a different market.
Competition? Perhaps in addition to those you have mentioned, the BMW R1250RS is actually most similar. Big powerful sports/touring twin, with an extensive electronics package and masses of torque throughout the rev range. Would be interesting to see a direct comparison.
I can’t wait for the comparisons either. Perhaps unfortunately my heart has already been won over. I will not agree with criticism of my beloved girl and will agree with all points wins 🥇 for the delightful V. 😂
Last year (2021), I started bird-dawgin this Italian beauty. Last month (September 2022), I gave Plano, TX Moto Guzzi a $500 deposit. Early in the morning of 10/17/2022, I submitted my online “reservation” for the 2023 Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello Sport - “Centenario” Livery (premium Verde 2121 color) - Special Edition $17,490. The customer care representative told me my Order# 190 was the 1st V100 Mandello order received by Moto Guzzi USA. I’m SUPER EXCITED! To me, the V100 Mandello is STUNNINGLY GORGEOUS!
@@MotoMischiefs the vmax is savage for sure. But honestly I prefer the V100 on specs, 170+ lbs lighter and reaches peak torque at HALF the rpm the vmax takes. Vmax would be more fun in a long straightaway but feel worse everywhere else.

Really looking forward getting and riding it😊 They told me, it is really (at the moment) not possible to order the S Version with golden wheels... You can get only the black ones.. what a pitty and bad decisions from Moto Guzzi... I think the golden wheels would look just so much nicer with the green S version.❤
100%. The early launch bikes had gold wheels and they looked great. 🤩 Oddly, now we see the production models (with visible pannier attachment points etc) and we see the S models have gold forks but black wheels while the standard models have black forks and gold wheels! This is an obviously styling error. Such a shame. And an expensive one to correct. 😒

You get only these ugly black ones which to be honest totally doesn't make sense at all to me. Hey Moto Guzzi...Let the customer select his own wheels...

For me this over the SX or gsx s1000gt, and over trad tourers like a rt or bt1100. Not cheap but not the crazy prices I was expecting. Yes, would like to know what it's like after a day's riding

I bought a MG V7 in 2017 and 2 years after a MG Stelvio NTX ❤ love them both.
OK so they've brought the bike into the modern age - that's great and frankly it's about time. But a lot of bike's are already there - what caught my attention on this bike was the beauty of the show models - now the tester bike has blah matte black wheels instead of those gorgeous gold wheels on the show bikes. I have a bike with all the power and electronics that I need, I don't have anything like the v100 show bike, unfortunately with those black wheels - it's frankly a deal killer.
This is the kinda bike that'll get me to sell my Harley tbh. Looks good, sounds good, feels good, plenty of power. And that feature list! Oh my goodness. What's not to love???
This bike is beautiful and I plan to check it out. It is on my radar. They stopped making sport touring bikes, which is what I prefer but have been riding other bikes since they stopped making bikes like this. This might be a chance to get back to my roots. I use to have a BMW R 1100 RS and traded it in for a Ducati ST 4. At the time, I assume that bikes like that would always be around so I did not think much of it. Knowing what I know now I would have kept the bike. This is as close as the come to getting that riding position look and feel. Did I say shaft drive as well. This bike is a head of the curve so we may be looking at the start of something new if this bike sells.

Love Moto Guzzi. I can tell you the elephant in the room is the fact that there are very, very few dealers in North America. Hard to get serviced when your closest repair facility is 250 miles away.
Well done getting this out quickly and with very good production values, to boot. I'd like to see them do a cafe racer variant of this.....I'm not a fan of sit up and beg riding positions.
Agree simple button for screen up or down adjustments on the go instead mode mode screen seems redundancy impractical.Must stop to change to be safe.Personnaly I prefer base model less electronics less things to break down. I dislike when bike does everything for you takes away from riding
Gives me a bit of a Yamaha TDM feel… I guess it’s the exhaust being down low next to the wheel. Perhaps the most beautiful adventure/sport tourer today.
Looks nice, that, though the wings seem a bit pointless. I'm surprised that the engine mounts are just pressed steel, they look a bit cheap. I wonder if the service intervals have increased as air cooled Guzzis don't do many miles to a service?
oh my, I love the look, initial impressions good... wish it had 150bhp but hey ho I've got a Superduke GT for that I can see the Guzzi as something to behold in my stable
So it sits between the Aprilia Tuano V4 and factory V4 price wise? The engine would need to be great at that price, as a Moto Guzzi V7 I get paying a little premium but it’s a bit toppy price wise.
Great to see Guzzi pulling the stops out and putting so much effort into this new bike from the ground up. However I can’t gush over the styling on the fairing. It’s just not quite right. The green styling helps a lot, looking at it in red, seems to bring out the worse visual aspects. I hope they continue with this package in a different dress because it ticks every other box for me.
Easy...WANT! Personally I don't want that much power, about 75hp is plenty for me, so when the new lemans comes out at UK9k with a water cooled motor I'll be buying two of them - one to ride everyday and one to mothball and break out in 2030.
The direct competitor for this would probably be the BMW r1250rs. A semi tourer, semi sport-naked type bike with a big torquey engine. And price wise, they're surprisingly comparable.

I rather dislike sided swing arms and think they’re a hideous potentially dangerous gimmick on street bikes. It puts me off of so many $20,000+ bikes.

Careful there, VMAX was a mad man, this bike is not anywhere close in power figures ... or has the madmax looks.

I had an R1200RS for just under 4 years and it was a great bike for everything and think this will be too. Will be grabbing a test ride when one lands
