Lots of differing opinions on this one! If you had a Bronco, how would you modify it?
I’d start by not canceling shows people actually want to watch for dumbass shows like “spoolin up” or “car fix”. Gettin rid of shows that actually mean something.

By putting a big sticker on it saying MTOD has horrible drama programming now instead of good content!
How about bring back dirt every day? Top gear sucks, wheeler dealer hasn't been good for awhile. You are taking all the good shows away.

I remember driving south from Bend, Oregon and seeing Fred Williams parked in a parking lot along Highway 97 with this Bronco on his trailer. I told my wife "hey, I think that's Fred Williams from Dirt Every Day!" We turned around and I got the chance to talk with him for a few minutes. Super cool dude, very down to earth!
The Australian outback truck is referred to as a UTE, mate 🤙🏼

Ford did make a long bed Bronco pickup. It is called a F150.
to be fair, its the ranger seeing as they share the same T6 platform anyway

More likely Ford provided a development vehicle that would otherwise be scrapped. ( Or possibly a vehicle that was in a flood, note all the sand that came out of the back once it was cut off. )

Love this fun stuff it gives me a good laugh cutting up a 40-50 k bronco. it even looks like the original truck bronco.
I'd love to see how the Bronco truck would look with a beefy lift kit on it.
That trail shows it doesn't really need - it would be just for show....
Fred and Dave are my everyday hero's. Taking what can be best described as the most desirable, over priced (flippers after greedy dealer markups) vehicle of the last year (surpassing the new Corvette and that thing Landrover calls a Defender, which is indefensible) and turning it into an absolute farm/trail monster.... Is just about the greatest thing I've seen you build. Love it!

How to destroy a Bronco. You should do the proper way, welding the back section of the cab, using a shorter bed, so it has lesser overhang. And using the original body panels to build the bed lateral section, for a more clean design.
no loss on the bronco if the engine doesnt blow up..would rather have the Toyota with the diesel imported then this contraption made for commodification that is unreliable to start with

I guess by all the dust behind the interior panels on stripdown and the lack of licence plates that this was either a pre-production or ex-press car that was otherwise earmarked for destruction?

in 1991 i had a 68 bronco half cab , it had a 302 with a 3 speed in 97 the body was so rusted it broke in half so i pulled the body off sandblasted the frame and dropped in a 351w stroked to 427 (2 grand kit off ebay }, stubby c6, np203 , rockwell axles , 4link front and rear, fun part ...... duel tires all the way round and a 78 pinto body !!! man i miss that thing !

Ford should make a Bronco pick -up. Call it the Bronco T. Make it available as an electric. Call it the Bronco ET. With a name like ET it would be "out of this world" so to speak.

That was so awesome! I think the truck looks great. Then they drove it up a freaking waterfall!? This may have been one of the most rugged tests of the new Bronco's capabilities that I have seen. Kinda want to do the same to my 21 bronco base now!! 😂

RIP dirt everyday, as discovery goes axing its content back, they have fallin victim, thought the format of Dave makes a roll cage and a front suspension while fred does everything else was getting old, the adventurers were still great to watch with the kiddo, for sure subscribed to both their personal youtube accounts
Initially I thought this is crazy and it's going to look terrible. It came out looking really cool. Nice work.
You guys should buy old Russian BRDM-2, the one with 4 small extendable wheels under the belly, cut off the the armor & top, and put in a modern diesel engine. They do it over there, and it's probably the coolest thing on wheels there is.

That bed is garbage. Should have taken a bed from a frontally wrecked ranger or something instead of one that looks like its from the 70s. Those wheels and tires look like they were found in in a barn on someone's farm they forgot they bought 50 years ago. Overall the build is a 3/10.

That Toyota reproduction bed is the same bed as an old Ford Courier Pickup Bed. Make it say FORD across the tailgate and you’re golden.
We’ve been trying to get ford to finally build the Bronco again, a jeep competitor and you guys take one of the few and are undoing it turning it back into a truck, we don’t need a Bronco truck, jsut build the Bronco . Judas! Shame to see it butchered . I’d of loved to build it into a street able crawler, 😢

Two questions Fellas? Why didn't ya give the new girl a bit more ground clearance and why did ya make the bed so long so (IDK what ya call it) "deproach angle" so terrible. I get your not particularly Ford fans (nobody's perfect lol), but it didn't really put the new Bronco in the best of light. And believe me, as a Ford guy, I'm not seriously impressed with their new take on a previously badass unit. But you guys know how to really make some awesome rigs and I just kind felt like ya took her down a few notches from how it showed up at your shop. And I like the "Yute", Australian tray truck idea. Just figured making it functional with a hair shorter bed would have done it some more justice we. I love you guys and your my fav in the Motortrend family! Keep up the awesome content and make us proud!

Youz need to look into safer winching techniques, I was scared for you that whole time. stand out of the line of fire (if winch cable breaks), use a stump saver on the tree, weighted bag over winch cable and never let it sag then tighten... also try not let it run over sharp rocks 🤣
It was a synthetic line, when they break they just fall to the ground - you don't need to weigh them down.... Also, that is a Yakkum recovery rope they used as a tree saver, they are about 2" in diameter and designed to stretch - using them as a tree saver is one of the designed use cases....
