Very nice! I like your older recordings along with the newer ones, but I can understand that viewpoint, because I listen back to my earlier tracks and I want to bring back that feeling. I just try to wait about a day or so, and listen over different speakers (and in the car) before I share something. I hope all goes well with this new synth tray.
Thank you. Yes I think that's got a lot to do with it, having time to step back and listen with fresh ears. I always try to listen and give things a quick mix on speakers too, I've regretted uploading headphone mixes before 😅
Thank you 😁 Yeah the skins are great for adding a bit of colour to the frame 🖼️ Also yeah the MEGA is currently on par with the Lofi-12 as a favourite for me 👌
yes lofi 12 and 6 i love them both wanted to nab the texture lab but the mega is a must have and from the videos i seen, there is so much nostalgia coming out that device i know the fm synth can get deep though @@ChrisLodyMusic
I considered it yeah but unfortunately it's mono so I bought a Little Bear MC5 which arrived today. I wish there was something small that was stereo, had panning and effects sends that's the right size for the board. The Volca Mix is nearly right but again, 2 inputs are mono
@@ChrisLodyMusic I think the new version (Bastl Bestie) is stereo with saturation/distortion, but still no panning or sends. There is also a smaller form factor Behringer mixer that runs on batteries, the 1002B
Ooh I didn't know the Bestie is stereo. That fits the bill as well as close as I can get I think as it will just squeeze on and is battery powered, forgot to mention 3.5mm sockets is ideal too as it keeps everything small. I'll treat myself to an upgrade at some point if it gets as much use as I'm hoping, the MC5 is adequate for now. Either way I'm going to patch into my audio interface when I come to record in the future. I looked at the Behringer too btw, it's a big though and has no 3.5mm inputs.
Another cool one. Considering your thought on making progress with your music or not, I think why don't multitrack your jams and rearrange them later for a greater meal?!
Thank you, and thanks for keeping the metaphor going 😄 Yes that's something I was going to write about eventually. I didn't bother on this track because I'm still experimenting with the SmplTrek in this role, but I can connect the output of each device to the inputs of my audio interface and for a total of 8 tracks. It'd be good just for mixing, might end up with an album that way if I'm lucky 🤞
Techno com alma! Inspirador!!
Excellent work Sir!
Thank you 😁

Whoa! A new personal best, I'd say!
Thanks very much, I'm trying to put a bit more effort in 😁
great job also love the skin on the smpltrek i need to get the mega synthesis

Very nice. Your liven tutorials are great. I have a similar setup with the op 1 field, KO 2 133 and warps.
That sounds like a pretty neat setup 👌 My missus has the original OP1 and the tape mode does look like a lot of fun
Have you checked out the Bastl Dude as a mixer for your Synth Tray 2.0? Not passive, but a nice little battery mixer with a small dB boost available.

@@jboulderct Just found this video, it can be configured to support a stereo send. Pretty clever 👌 ua-cam.com/video/5TriVnoAY0U/v-deo.html
@@ChrisLodyMusic nice! Looks just about perfect now 👍🏻
That was excellent!
Thanks man, I've been working towards improving my arrangements by actually taking my time with stuff 😆
@@ChrisLodyMusic I can tell! It was very nicely layered and developed!
nah
🤷♂️
Incredible track Chris, I loved it.
Thanks man, I had a lot of fun making this one 😁
