Perfect video as usual. Top 1 on shopping list.

It was bit clunky to get into and I still hate the esthetic and tiny knobs, but since then I barely touched my SP 404. I have no space at home and this thing has tiny speaker, mic and batteries already in. Plus it does bloody LIVE Looping which Roland won't implement for some reason. It has few effects and effect buses but you can name files upon storing them which is a god sent to me. Micro USB also annoys the hell out of me but global tracks compensate for that which basically no other groove box does. Still, great little machine.

Awesome! I'm ashamed to admit it, but mine has hardly ever been switched on... I bought it as soon as the KickStarter was announced but by the time it arrived, I'd forgotten about it and totally got into modular which is where my creative heart lies... I guess I'd better do something about that!

You can always sample, chop and remix your modular creations into songs with it.

@@Swenglish very true, of course.... but I have the BitBox Micro in my rack which does that, too! Nevertheless, I do intend to learn the thing as it makes sense on so many levels.

@@AndyVonal Ah, yeah, my situation's slightly similar, not in that I've gone modular, but I too have multiple samplers and haven't really dug deep into all of them. Right now I'm getting to know the Deluge better (now that it's gone open source and some of its shortcomings are being rectified), and for a smaller device I've got the SmplTrek, which is similar to the Blackbox but runs on batteries. Meanwhile my MPC is just being used as a sound card for my old PC, because I don't have enough dedicated low latency audio interfaces.
