A very old unique level crossing Sherburn-in-Elmet has there. It also has some nice old halogen lights as well, sadly although I think the network rail might eventually change it a bit but we don’t know if they will yet. Nice video by the way though 🙂👍🏻
Wow - *nice one* 👍😁 The crossing still remains unchanged! The white bordered halogens are really neat too, and I like how the alarms are nice and loud. Certainly a one of a kind crossing with one very noisy barrier and an amber light shade missing! Nice to see it operational! Brilliant catch of the 47 too! 👍👍😁
That is really cool! I remember seeing this crossing a while back but I couldn't remember it's name; it seems so weird that they haven't replaced the wigwags with pedestrian lights or reprogrammed the logic to lower both barriers at the same time

nice lights too
Amazing to see white bordered wig wags when very few made it into the 2010s
It wouldn’t surprise me if this was the only crossing left with white bordered halogens
The now removed Sneinton Junction Foot LC (Meadow Lane) had white bordered halogens before its removal in 2013! It’s been replaced with a bridge now.
Oh no that’s sad that is. I think iv heard of that crossing tbh.
Missing amber light shade
Great video
The alarms sound like sutton level crossing in ireland
Nobody:
The barrier: GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
Nice video btw
I found a photo of this before it was a foot crossing I think
ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRR
Wow. They changed it from a full level crossing to just one for people? Crazy, and they didn't really modify anything else.
Yep, mostly everything here is original
does that crossings still exist?
Yes!

Make this pedestrianised, just with two long SPX barriers and four LED wigwags, and four LED ped lights, just like Poole High Street
@@TheosTrainsWalesOfficial would be very overkill for what is a very quiet road in comparison to Poole
Yeah you have a point there, also it would be a shame to see this crossing get upgraded.
@@UKLCSandT yeah it would, I'm very surprised they even did this bodge-job in the first place but it's cool
It’s because it used to be a proper full one. The crossing still thinks there are 4 barriers so it lowers how it used to lower.
Howcome there is space for a road on the crossing, yet there is no road because it’s fenced off
The road was closed for a reason I don’t know. Perhaps the crossing was down for to long and not very many cars used it? I don’t know personally.
If you go on Google maps it looks like originally a main road used this crossing
Yeah Iv seen that before. If you go there now you can see that it used to be a full crossing.
@@UKLCSandT The original road was bypassed by a road overbridge.
barrier go brrr
(Btw I am level Crossings 2021 second channel)
47 not 48
Wow I looked at that closely I clearly made a mistake lol, thanks for pointing it out I’ll change it now
cursed
Great video
