I am obsessed with Remedy and it blows my mind that they aren't culturally WAY bigger than they are. There are far too many people out there that are missing out on the most creatively free studio on the planet!
I LOVE how Control was the AWAKENING for my love for the Remedy verse, too. There's just something about Control, Jesse Faden, and the story they're cooking in that world that does something to my brain. 😩
Remedy has always been in my heart since starting from a disk of pirated Max Payne in the early 2000-s that my father brought back. These games have always been on par with the STALKER universe for me. Before the release of STALKER 2, I have to play Alan Wake 2 and end all DLC`s. this is last Remedy game in my list. And kudos to the same lover of games on disks, I also have almost the entire Remedy collection along with Stalker. Thanks for the video, bro!
Ah Remedy. As a Hungarian they have a special place in my heart. I have always wanted to visit Finland "one day" because of our shared ancient linguistic connection but Alan Wake 2 pushed me over the edge. I played Max Payne 2 back in the day but then forgot about Remedy. I picked up Control during Covid because I was done with Jedi: Fallen Order and wanted to paly something similar. I saw some gameplay trailers of Control back from 2019 where Jesse throws things around and I was like "aight, that is Jedi enough". When I was a teen (some 16 years ago) I was really into the paranormal and supernatural and all that but grew out of it by the time I reached 18. I knew NOTHING about Control's setting. So when it dawned on me that it's about this urban legend - paranormal stuff I felt EXACTLY like what Jesse describes in the opening cutscene: the poster on your wall falling off and seeing the real world for the first time. I felt like coming home after being away for a very long time. Really that is the closest analogy I could use, I felt like this is exactly what I've been waiting for, where my place is. And right after I finished all the DLCs they announced that Alan Wake 2 would be releasing in 2023? Synchronicity man. So yeah see you in Finland next summer!
control was the first game i played when i bought my gaming pc. i wasnt expecting anything 'cause i don't even like shooting games but Control is bloody amazing. i will play the Max Paynes and the Alan wakes for sure
I’m 34 years old and I’ve been gaming since the original Nintendo and Game Boy and all of it and Alan Wake two was one of my favorite best experiences. I’ve had in the video game top five.
Quantum Break is awesome. Remedy was actually stonewalled by Microsoft. They demanded the game was less "weird", more generic, more "mainstream". And still they managed to sneak in some of that Remedy - characteristic weirdness.
My only complaint with AW2 is they don't let you cut loose with the combat nearly enough. It's amazing combat, but until the Rose Marigold Night Springs episode, I never really feel like I got to truly experience it running on all cylinders. The main game never does that for you. Even the big fight at the "concert" in the last part of the game has you running around trying to scrap for ammo constantly during it. They did themselves a disservice not including some more serious combat arenas in AW2 IMO because they undersold one of the best elements.
After Alan Wake 2 I played AW1, Control, Quantum Break. And then AW2 again. MP1&2 I played in childhood. And now I realized the Remedy is my favorite game studio ever😊
Remedy is an awesome game studio, they are so talented and creative! I loved control, quantum break, and the max Payne series. I hope they are able to break even with Alan wake 2 and keep making bangers
I saw the title and said : "That is so true!", weeping gently... They're genuine. Alan Wake 2 was a risky bet. Control might be the best thing I've experienced in sci-fi. They're multi-faceted artists who embrace seriousness, weirdness & humor all at once.
The remedy universe is so amazing!!! I have replayed them in a circle just to keep me busy until Alan Wake 2 arrived and now it just makes me feel so at home playing it. The stories they tell are so wonderful!!!
As a Finn I am so proud that we have things like Remedy, Housemarque and SuperCell to draw our modest but happy country on the world map. We know that we are small but survived 2 invasions in WW2 and keep on pushing and prosper.
I love watching guys like you discover remedy and stalker years after their release so I can see a new generation enjoying games of the past... It also makes me feel old as dirt! 🤣🤣🤣

@@azoman7407 Your totally right I goofed that. I forget sometimes it's James voice and not Sams since it's so interlinked with Max Payne. And RIP to the great James McCaffrey.
The first time I fell in love with Remedy was playing the first Alan Wake. I loved the score and Alan’s character compelled me. I later fell in love with the writing style of Alan Wake 2 (along with Herald of Darkness) and I was hooked. Big love to Sam Lake and the team 🙌🏻
I hard disagree on Quantum Break. I think it's absolutely up to Remedy standards, even if the vibe was very different - it fit the story and character, which was way more hard-sci. The stuff with Mr. Hatch and all the hidden references to Altered World Events, the multiverse and Alan Wake make it absolutely part of the Remedy Connected Universe even if they can't acknowledge it.. TIme Breaker really really made that clear too. Anyway, just saying I love Quantum Break, and it's up there with all the others for me.
@@BlazingOwnager I did like Quantum Break! Don't get me wrong. Someone commented that Sam Lake wasn't involved in the writing as much as he usually is for it, not sure if it's true but if it is, it makes sense. Agree with you on the Time Breaker episode of Night Springs though. QB is still good, but it's just not as "unputdownable" as their other games.
I absolutely agree the best way to play Alan Wake II is to play the entire Remedy catalogue (You forgot Death Rally! It's at the bottom of the iceberg but still important - YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED) first. I would have been frustratingly left in the dark on huge portions of the story and game world if I hadn't played all the other games first. I have to say as a money making tactic it's pretty bad - someone who's never picked up a Remedy game before will likely be confused and frustrated at a lot of things - but for those that went through the whole journey to get there, the game is nothing but constant pay offs in the best way.
Since you've played Max Payne a lot, maybe you can share this excitement. Did you see that they had a reference to the flamingo altered item in a TV show in Max Payne? That was years before Control came out! -Lily

Well, actually, they left people behind with Alan Wake 2 :S Can't run the game with my 1070 gtx amp 8 gb because of the latest mesh shading. That's a shame because I wanted to play it so bad (been a fan so far) but I can't afford a new GPU in my country because it's super expensive. Don't know why they didn't keep Control engine. Runs and looks great on almost every single piece of hardware. Bad decision from them but hey, who am I to complain? Great vid btw!
I've heard that Remedy took a loan from a chinese Tencent studio for theirs next projects and thay have to pay the debt in eight years... If it's true and they have to resort to such actions... than Remedy in big troubels, i'm afraid :(
Can't believe how well you pronounce Finnish words. I know a couple professional voice actors who try to replicate Finnish, but you're so much better than them!
hey, thanks for that! I often recommend the "Varusteleka Terävä Jääkäripuukko" to my friends who are new to bushcrafting. Learning to say that was a great start!
Maybe they should put there future games on Steam. Steam=money, Epic=having to borrow money from Tencent, which usually marks the death of decent games from any developer. That thought has made me want a drink. 😢
I'm so bummed they accidentally associated with SBI right before that whole thing blew up. I've defended AW2 in so many channels because unlike other games that studio got involved with, it's not infected by any of their tropes and other injected stuff. It really, combined with EGS, hurt them really badly and it's a crying shame. For those of you who heard the slander: No, Saga is not a swap. Yes, her ethnicity makes complete sense. No, she doesn't say racist things (the two lines people harp on are from a dark place corrupted version trying to drive her mad). No, she does not tear anyone around her and is a respectful character with good motivations. And no, she didn't hijack Alan's role in the game, due to the narrative being split between both worlds.
Involvement of the SBI clearly affected the game multiple ways, this supposed American small town now has the minority ethnicity proportions of the Los Angeles, and this is something that didn't exist in the first Alan Wake. Secondly, when Saga was presented in that clip of Quantum Break, she was portrayed by Finnish actor, just like Alan is. And lastly, i think Saga being shoehorned so strongly to the game that in the end, you are going to be more familiar with her than with the titular protagonist is one of the mistakes that cost Remedy some returning players.
The moments in Alan Wake 2 that were very clearly “Sweet Baby” and not Sam Lake or Remedy stood out like such a sore thumb, because for the entire game the writing is so good and so believable, and then once every 4 chapters there’s like *one line* that is so forced and clearly *attempting* to be political, when Alan Wake normally could not be *MORE* devoid of politics. Disappointing that they chose to work with Sweet Baby, but it’s a testament to the studio’s passion and quality that I pushed thru the annoying Sweet Baby moments because I was loving the game so much.
@@cantgameright I have played Max Payne 2 so long ago that I can't even remember the guy. So, this caught me off guard. What was his version of "finger"-ing here?
I don't really get the argument about Alan Wake and Quantum Break being their weakest games. Sure, they are not Max Payne regarding the gunplay and action sequences but neither do they try to be. Remedy always seems to evolve with every game, dipping their feet in something that is new for them. In that regard I would say Max Payne 2 (which I love love love) is probably their weakest game because it is this sequel that doesn't do a lot new or different
It was alright. It's a john Woo game. Really, i wanted the soiw motion in more of an action/detective game, not the dark the grimey new york, underworld feel.
I tried Control for a bit after being interested in it for a while. I stopped because I found the gameplay not that enjoyable. Maybe I should give a second go.
Look at what's happening with Ubisoft right now. Developers and studios shouldn't dismiss all criticism because it's supposedly based on hate and prejudice. Developers shouldn't antagonize their customers (gamers). Remedy's community manager (Vida) seems to be a close friend of Alyssa Mercante, someone who is known for antagonizing gamers and, in my opinion, one of the most dishonest journalists I've ever seen. Unfortunately, I've seen Vida express similar opinions to Alyssa's, I recently saw an old interview with her where she said she wanted to work at Remedy because they were making a game with a strong female protagonist, she's an extreme identitarian. Yes, I think that consulting firms like SBI are a problem and that sensitive reading is just a fancy name for artistic censorship. The only reservations I have regarding SBI's influence in Alan Wake 2 are when Saga calls Alan a white asshole out of nowhere, there is no need to bring race into the game considerinng the polarized context in which we find ourselves, the other is the game's need to reaffirm every 30 seconds that Saga is a badass professional and an incredible mother, this is extremely tiring.. I don't care about the raceswap, it makes sense with who her father probably is. I love the Remedyverse and all its IPs, but I don't want to give money to those who hate and despise me, especially living in a third world country where these games are extremely expensive.
I hadn't heard of Sweet Baby inc or Alyssa Mercante until I received some disgruntled comments a while back that I spoke about liking Alan Wake II. I was completely blind to the campaign against SBI and all that jazz and I have to say that a lot of people are getting too carried away and also creating a Barbara Streisand effect around the relevance of SBI and hard left games journalists. I had no prejudice when Saga was being turned into a whiny racist with a victim mentality by the dark presence. It makes sense. Saga is fighting her insecurities and the game is explicitly saying, "being a whiny racist with a victim mentality gets you nowhere." I truly think that the hate against AW2 is grossly misdirected at the wrong people for the wrong reasons. It's FAR from being anything close to Ubisoft's "diversity" thing. With that said, I live in a third world country too, and I'm praising Remedy also for LOWERING the price of AW2 to 50$ while the entire industry is going up to 70$. Yet that's hardly ever talked about, even by myself. Lastly, I can understand not buying games that benefit people who hate you. I just think that there's a lot of intellectual dishonesty going on with that since Space Marine II was made in russia, where 20% of revenue goes to their government which applies 30 freaking percent of their spending in military. Watch Rossiya-1 for a day and see what real, seething hate looks like, I don't even have to mention their war. Boycott Alan Wake 2 because it received a consulting service from a company of about a dozen people but praise a much smaller game that funds the worst war (all because a country wanted to be more European and not russian) we've seen since WW2? No one cares about that? So yeah I just don't think that the "people who hate me" case is intellectually honest, though it could be ignorance of that country's government's deeply hateful rhetoric towards us.
I've played all Remedy games, and Control was my least favorite. The gameplay is fun and challenging, but the main story is basic. The lore, however, felt like they overdid the mystery aspect. It’s clear they were aiming for a 'the more you know, the less you understand' vibe, but it came off wrong. In a well-executed 'Dunning-Kruger' effect, players should initially feel like they know everything, only to later realize they don’t. But by diving deeper and reading materials, they should gradually piece together what's really happening. In Control, we start knowing nothing, and by the end, we're still left in the dark. It felt unrewarding.
I love them so much bit playing Max Payne on Console is only half the Experience. I love this Games and finish them every Year. Remedy is my favorite Dev with all Games from them are great. Alan Wake is my absolute Favorit and Control ist the best Game the last 10 Years. I could replay Alan Wake also endless^^

Tf are You talking about? If You mean selling? is becauase of the epic games contract, that is going to be over soon, so Alan wake on steam would blow up money!!!
Why is that? 'Cause one of the main characters is a black woman? Nah mate, it's great and there's nothing in the narrative that'd make it woke. I know Sweet Baby was involved but if I had to guess, they made them switch Saga's race which is ultimately a none issue. The game's still great.
@@zeroskaterz92 Nope, it was actually a great game. It represents the Finnish culture pretty well, story was great and the music was awesome. It might not be for you but op is definitely over exaggerating. Sweet Baby was apparently involved but it's likely they only suggested them to switch Saga's (one of the main characters) race which doesn't affect the game in any way.
No offense intended, but considering the *absolutely massive* middle finger Remedy has given to generative AI stuff in the themes of the new Alan Wake 2 DLC, I find it extremely ironic that you used a voice AI for this video. Without getting into spoilers, it is *abundantly* clear that they do not like that stuff at all. Also, I just want to say something to everyone complaining about Sweet Baby Inc: Remedy is *openly* progressive and pro-LGBTQ. They have talked about wanting help making more diverse characters that they don't have a perspective for. Sam Lake publicly supported a Trans Rights charity. If you are mad at Remedy for working with SBI, you are also mad at Remedy. The things that you say you hate about SBI apply to Remedy too. Sorry to break it to you.
alright, about the voice. It's not generative AI, it's a voice changer. The message in The Lake House about generative ai not being art is fair. It doesn't say it shouldn't exist or be used, just that it's not art. I actually agree. The expansion also goes to define art by making this statement. Second, I disagree about SBI and Remedy being the same. I don't mind Remedy being progressive. It's perfectly valid for them to create their games with the standards of excellence that they hold. Their work is straight up GOOD. SBI is potentially trouble because they're deconstructionists. Unlike Remedy, who believe that the only thing needed for the industry to have progressive values is to make good games that carry them, SBI openly believe that the industry needs to be burnt to the ground in order for those values to be represented appropriately, so I dare say that SBI isn't even "progressive" they're straight up going for revolution.
@@cantgameright If your takeaway from The Lakehouse isn't "Remedy finds genAI to be destructive, anti-art, and harmful to actual artists" then I don't know what to say. It's abundantly clear that Remedy is very much so not a fan of the stuff. If you didn't use voice AI stuff though, then apologies. As for SBI: hard, *hard* disagree. They don't say that. A person who works there says that. Are you going to start judging every company by the individual opinions of their workers? If you did, get ready to hate literally everything. And this idea that a consultancy firm is somehow manipulating the industry from behind the scenes is straight up right-wing propaganda. Like, full stop. It is a tactic used to ascribe power to something they don't like (in this case anything even remotely resembling progressive ideals) in order to get people to work against it. You often see this with RW groups doing the same thing with various minority groups, talking it up like they secretly run everything when in reality they do not have anywhere near that kind of societal power. What groups like SBI do is, essentially, offer advice. That's what consultancy groups actually do. SBI specifically offers advice in the realm of adding more diverse character portrayals in video games and also to make sure studios are treating employees fairly in terms of crediting workers and equal pay and benefits. For narrative assistance, they essentially just tell devs "hey if you don't know how to write a black character that comes off as relatable to black audiences, here's some people who can help you". That's literally all they do. They don't go in and say "make this character black, make this one gay, make this one a woman". If they're hired to straight up work on the narrative, they might do that. But I think they've literally only done that for two games, and one of them ended up being bad because of the *other* writers involved (looking at you, Suicide Squad). All of the others have been "here's how you can write this character and not screw it up". As for Alan Wake 2, Remedy themselves have straight up denied that SBI had them make Saga black, which is something the online right-wing claimed. For the claim that they made Insomniac add in the pride stuff to Spider-Man 2? Turns out that stuff was already there before SBI came on board. It's absolutely wild that a bunch of literally unfounded claims with zero evidence behind them has started a mass crusade against a company of 16 people who have barely done anything in the industry. Truly wild. Nobody said anything about them when they worked on Sable, AC: Valhalla, or Dota Underlords. Presumably because the *massive* surge in right-wing hate that popped up during 2021 hadn't started yet.
@@Haitch_Kay Try to read carefully, even some of my other comments with other viewers, I'm about 80% *agreeing* with you. Yes, that was my takeaway from Remedy's Lake House messaging. Let's go into SBI, because we have more in common than I think you think. I don't like the right wing culture warriors cancelling good games because characters are diverse and starting hateful disinformation campaigns just like I don't like the left wing social justice warriors cancelling good games because characters aren't diverse and doing the same thing. I understand that a part of SBI's consulting model helps games avoid the latter, but I certainly understand that the focus SBI's consulting isn't about "forcing" diversity into games, it's about writing believable characters *especially* if they're "diverse" (in quotes because in the case of SBI's consulting I understand this to be characters written by people who don't have the same identity perspective as them). This is all clear to me. It's also clear to me that a consulting team of 15 or so people isn't making major decisions that go over the development team of ~400+ people in different studios. This is why I'm ultimately unbothered by SBI being hired for a game. What I said about SBI being potential trouble is because they are playing the same game as the right-wing propagandists, just on the opposite team. You can say that Remedy hold progressive values, which is true, but it wouldn't be fair to call Remedy a left-wing organization. I believe the argument *is* fair in characterizing SBI. THAT is my concern, and I'm skeptical of the real-world benefits of working with a firm engaged in a political stance, not because of how it could affect one's creative work but because of how one's work is perceived as a result. I think values and worldview should precede one's politics, not be determined by them, so I hardly call anything "political." Having a black woman as your protagonist isn't political, it's absurd to think so... but SBI probably thinks it's a political statement... and I ask myself if they consider Max Payne to glorify toxic masculinity, would they consider it problematic? and if so, does that make them any different from the right-wingers chanting "go woke go broke?" Kind of a horseshoe theory thing going on there.
I hate woke content in games... but I think that people who complain about Alan Wake 2 being woke haven't played it at all. I'm really struggling to find what's woke about it. There is a line that makes fun of feminist critics though, so maybe if you're a feminist you can get triggered.
Remedy is such a good developer that not even Sweet Baby Inc. could ruin Alan Wake 2. Every game they make feels like a passion project, which made those “sweet baby” moments in Alan Wake 2 stick out like a sore thumb because 96% of the game is so good. Still a bummer they chose to work with them in the first place
@@manriquez1991 Off the top of my head: Saga Anderson whining about Alan and “white men” for about 5 seconds near the end of the game, the black couple at the beginning of the game whining about poIice brutality and saying “Bright Falls is just Alabama with more trees” (for reference I live in Alabama so this one kinda annoyed me lol), the same black guy writing a journal saying he can’t wait to finally write plays and movies “with an all black cast this time!”, a cop character mentioning basically out of nowhere that she has a wife, a whole manuscript page dedicated to the 2 cops who have existed since the first game all of a sudden being blatantly bigoted and RAYCIS (i think it was revealed though that this page was written by Scratch)
@@ZacTheFirst The white men statement was a cause of the dark place not her actual thoughts. @@watchdogj I already said this before: it’s out of nowhere. And yes, it IS her actual thoughts. The Dark Place isn’t putting fake thoughts in her head, it’s bringing her REAL fears out and dialing them up to 11. When the dark presence is corrupting her, it brings out her fears, her fear of being a bad partner, failing Casey (her white best friend who is basically like a brother to her and an uncle to her daughter), her fear of being a bad cop. All things that were built up across the game. Then all of a sudden “I’ve fallen victim to another white guy….” It’s completely out of nowhere and doesn’t fit with her character or anything in the game.
The Remedy of Max payne and Alan Wake 1 is not the same we have nowadays... Alan wake 2 is the most boring walking simulator ever... seems every company has to follow this trend of "cinematic" games and have gameplay as an afterthought., and as people already mentioned, SWEET baby ink (it says a lot when you have race swap). I trully hope then to do the remake as Konami is doing Metal Gear Delta.
@@MerdaLegal It’s definitely the same company, with every game they make basically being a passion project by Sam Lake. With Alan Wake 2 they talked about wanting to make a Silent Hill style survival horror game with detective elements, that’s also modeled after A24 horror movies. That’s exactly what they did and the combat and overall gameplay in the game is way more difficult and in-depth than AW1 ever was. The “sweet baby” moments in the game bothered me but that’s because they stuck out like a sore thumb and OBVIOUSLY weren’t written by Sam Lake, the other 98% of the game was so well written. Saga Anderson was never a pre-established character in Alan Wake, but simply in a demo/concept video from Quantum Break, so I don’t really consider it a “race swap” when she was never an actual character until AW2
Calling Alan Wake 2's gameplay an afterthought is wild. Starting to think you didn't play the game. Yes the intro is a slow burn, but to call it a walking simulator is just... no. far from it. SBI didn't make the game btw.

@@MerdaLegal oh you played on an easy difficulty. lol. In all seriousness, it's really easy to describe a game as boring if you give a boring description. It's not a fast paced game and you're not going to get it if you don't pay attention. I wouldn't call it cinematic because I can't see a movie or series convey what Alan Wake 2 conveys. It's just that the games requires you to be invested in it, it requires you to stop and think because many of its rewards are abstract. Remember how I started this video? I couldn't be bothered to care about what the game was trying to tell me until I approached the game with respect and invitingness. I didn't like God of War. I couldn't bring myself to care. I won't even bother with Ragnarok. All for the same reason, it's a movie that you can play and I don't care for that much. But they are not the same as AW.

It is inevitable the company will only continue to rot from inside with its woke activist staff. I still have to admit I did enjoy AW2 when I managed to ignore its pandering and degeneracies.
Saga's "race swap" is unfounded because Saga was written into existence by Alan Wake, and she exists in different dimensions, it's lore correct and likely related to the casting of David Harewood and Warlin Door's hinted familiar bond to Saga. The funny thing about that racist line is that it comes in the scene where Saga is being possessed by the dark presence, which makes her a whiny wuss with a victim mentality. The game is literally saying "being a woke whiny wuss with a victim mentality is how you end up in the dark place." Ffs the game even makes fun of feminists, the line "fuck the government" is celebrated, it's SO FAR from being woke. These accusations against Remedy are completely misplaced, SBI did not make the game, they were brought in for "sensitivity reading" and "character story arch" which makes sense when you realize that the Saga sounds like SBI only when she's being taken over by evil. This is all a huge nothingtaco and the wrong people are getting punished for the wrong reasons.

Control is seriously so good. AW2 is incredible as well. And then MP needs no intro. Great video.
I LOVE how Control was the AWAKENING for my love for the Remedy verse, too. There's just something about Control, Jesse Faden, and the story they're cooking in that world that does something to my brain. 😩
REMEDY is the last standing company for me❤
In the triple A industry u mean ? Remedy, Larian and Arkane Lyon are my fav companies
I started with control, it made me want to play alan wake. I love remedy now. Quantum break got hate but I thought it was amazing
QB is definitely unappreciated.
Well it is survival horror. If it was survival action it would play more like Number One Fan.
While I somewhat agree it’s a survival horror so I can let it go.
After Alan Wake 2 I played AW1, Control, Quantum Break. And then AW2 again. MP1&2 I played in childhood. And now I realized the Remedy is my favorite game studio ever😊

I saw the title and said : "That is so true!", weeping gently... They're genuine. Alan Wake 2 was a risky bet. Control might be the best thing I've experienced in sci-fi. They're multi-faceted artists who embrace seriousness, weirdness & humor all at once.

Alan Wake 1 has NEVER been a weak game. It was straight up narrative genius and it wasn't a walking simulator.
Remedy are the masters of masters. All time great videogames, and my favorite artists of any medium ever.
Control has become one of my favorite games of all time, right there with the Mass Effect trilogy. We definitely need to protect Remedy at all costs.

Once they'll stop trying to be David Lynch it will be fine. as is, it's just David Lynch from Wish
Maybe they should put there future games on Steam. Steam=money, Epic=having to borrow money from Tencent, which usually marks the death of decent games from any developer. That thought has made me want a drink. 😢
Epic Games and Sbi were the biggest reason why Alan Wake 2 flopped hard financially.
Epic games one of main reasons why this game exist 😑
Max pyane remakes release date? And trailer release date?
They better stop working with Sweet Baby.

Quantum break deserves better
Max Payne is not that fun when you don't know about the dynamic difficulty and how it works, I got pretty pissed off when I found out about it.
I don't need to protect anyone these companies as a customer, fuck em

It's literally the best game ever made
Why is that? 'Cause one of the main characters is a black woman? Nah mate, it's great and there's nothing in the narrative that'd make it woke. I know Sweet Baby was involved but if I had to guess, they made them switch Saga's race which is ultimately a none issue. The game's still great.
Ah is that why it won heavy hitter awards?
Also, I just want to say something to everyone complaining about Sweet Baby Inc:
Remedy is *openly* progressive and pro-LGBTQ.
Afteter alan woke well i don't just hope they didn't mess control 2.
Wich moments? ( I'm being serious) Cause i did not notice nothing
@@manriquez1991 Off the top of my head:
Saga Anderson whining about Alan and “white men” for about 5 seconds near the end of the game, the black couple at the beginning of the game whining about poIice brutality and saying “Bright Falls is just Alabama with more trees” (for reference I live in Alabama so this one kinda annoyed me lol), the same black guy writing a journal saying he can’t wait to finally write plays and movies “with an all black cast this time!”, a cop character mentioning basically out of nowhere that she has a wife, a whole manuscript page dedicated to the 2 cops who have existed since the first game all of a sudden being blatantly bigoted and RAYCIS (i think it was revealed though that this page was written by Scratch)
What's so bad about any of those things?
@@ZacTheFirst The white men statement was a cause of the dark place not her actual thoughts. In real life there are shows and plays with an all black cast and Esteves mentioned her wife because she was having a conversation about her job it definitely wasn't out of nowhere. I have just never seen a page about racist cops to be honest.
@@sondelostuyos9022 I played, for a few hours...
Walk, walk, walk, listen to character talk talk talk, walk a bit more, get an item that solves a problem just nex to you, then walk walk...
Grab your gun, jump scare, shoot some ghosts or run far from them so you are safe, get another item, go back to the dectective room, select some paper and try to pin on the wall ( no need to try to think like a detective, just keep selecting a space in the wall until the character say something and you can continue ), then walk some more, shot more ghosts... enconuter a bigger ghost, dont worry if you run out of bullets, as long as you have to fight it a box with bullets will always be around.
Then walk some more.
Just like the new God of wars, It must be a "movie" first, and a game after that.
@@cantgameright Does the hard difficult change the loop of the game?!
No.
Its hard to invest your attention when the game is boring, but hey, great that people find it fun putting some papers on the wall and listening to random abstract stuff that characters say.
We all like crap, I like Death stranding, and that is another nonsensical walking simulator.
What i want from remedy to get away from sbi...
That's why i didn't buy aw2 because of the ''rAcE sWaPP''
But i die hard fan of remedy max payne 1 2 aw1 control...they were all masterpieces👍
What “race swap”
@ssplif5415 saga Anderson was originally a white woman but when sb came in they changed her race to black...
Listen i don't hate black/brown people in games...I mean.... cj from gta sa is one of my favourite protagonists in video games ever....but the problem with black people in modern games...that they forced for d.e.i. and woke stuff to the medium that can controversial even for race swap from black person to white is also a problem.... is not about to make a character or what the story be like....no...it's all woke stuff
@ and where is the proof of this?
@@ssplif5415 gow ragnarok. And.saga Anderson from aw2
@ssplif5415 aw2 teaser from quantum break saga is white person vs aw2 2023 saga is black when sbi got involved
It is inevitable the company will only continue to rot from inside with its woke activist staff. I still have to admit I did enjoy AW2 when I managed to ignore its pandering and degeneracies.
They got to stop race swapping main characters and writing racist dialogue. Sorry I can not support a racist company.

@@sniperspy6072 Saga was NEVER an official character until Alan Wake 2. The only time she was ever white was a non-canon demo / concept video featured in Quantum Break. She was never an actual Remedy character until Alan Wake 2
@@cantgamerightbringing race into the games dialogue was always going to be risky at best. You can argue that it was worth it I guess but you could just as easily argue that it was done in poor taste. I think it ultimately just turned many people off from the game and remedy as a whole. It appears that these consultants often affect sales negatively by injecting unnecessary controversy and pretending to represent large groups of people, but in reality they don't. They don't represent racial groups they just represent an ideology that many people don't share.
