I haven't told a single soul about it yet because I know there are people who are literally dying and it just makes me feel bad. If you can't afford a c section, try a public hospital in a poor urban area, especially in a liberal state. Generally, the price is affordable. Call ahead, ask if they do c-sections and see what they say.
One doctor in an affluent neighborhood, private hospital, would c section every kid. No exceptions. So, find out if its needed.

This is why people don't often want to help people in need, because of the risk of scammers.
My suggestion to anyone wanting to help someone, instead of giving them money. Offer to actually buy them something, like a sandwich (or a blanket, clothes, etc) or try and find a service/place that helps support the homeless. Although I wouldn't just advise you to buy someone something, just in case of things like allergies or health issues, always ask first. Any scammer isn't going to want actual help, they're there for your money. Unless they're really committed to playing the long game and their role, most won't accept such help.

AND THAT is one reason I Never share money with individuals or organizations. Save the Children did a Christmas Drive about 10 years ago. Familes in need were to get all they needed to cook a holiday meal, turkey, potatoes, the works AND the children were to all receive books I believe in the power of reading. Long BS story short - The Children Never Received Their Books🤬
Third reason I don't share money: The pregnant homeless woman, after a good days haul of cash, went down around the corner, down an ally, got in her Benz and drove to the home she owned where no nursery was prepped because she was Fat, not pregnant!
I'm in my 70s, disabled, in failing health, make do on $1,000. a month and get Testy when young able-bodies walk up to me in my WheelChair to beg money😠

Speaking from someone who spent 20 years on the streets homeless this rarely happens so don't go out and not help out someone in need because you think that it's a potential scam. This is why gift cards are perfect. Choose one from a place that's close by. Remember you can't eat for $5 a day. If it's a gift card for a grocery store at least try to put up to 50 bucks on it if you can. Of course $5 is great don't get me wrong. Gift cards cannot be returned to the store for cash value. Most stores won't let you buy alcohol or cigarettes with a gift card either.
