No. The bullies trigger the kindness. If you're saying the neighbour is "kind", he would have help the old man long before the bullying right. But no, bullying trigger his action. My condition is so bad that I'm the oldest of my remaining family @44, and I'm about to be homeless. The house I live in is way worse than the man in the video, to the point that the local churches won't help. I'm medically disabled and always in pain to the point that I grind my teeth unconsciously, and they shatter. No, I have no pain medication, and my ex always finds my doctor to tell him that I don't need it, just to see my suffering. I'm severely depressed and I just don't want to hold myself up anymore. I feel so alone that I beg for a ride to the store for food, once a month. I don't leave the house except for that. The internet is my only outlet, and I appreciate your kind words. Sorry for the long rant.

I mean, I'm truly glad that this guy made it happen for the old man, and that over a 1,000 strangers came together to help in some way, I'm just further saddened that when I needed help moving from an abusive relationship and months of asking for help to escape and move what little I had, only 5 people actually helped me. Even after telling them I was buying food, beer, and just needed help because I had injured my back. But seriously, I'm glad people can come together at some point for people in need...

This actually happened in my town. It was an amazing project the the entire community helped with. The sadest part was you could tell he had actually tried to work on his house with what he had he just didn't have the ability anymore.

How were the teens assholes? They trashed talk a house and went upon their day. If trash talking makes someone an asshole than your standard for a good person must be high. Also if you unironically say they threaten to burn the house. They didn’t. They jokingly said to burn it down. They didn’t tell the old man as some sort of threat.

Unfortunately, some in on our society would rather be judgemental than simply ask if someone needs help. My elderly neighbor couldn't afford a new mower, so all of the neighbors took weekly turns mowing, then we each put in $25 bought a really nice mower. He takes pride in his lawn, and now he's back to mowing. Even though we offered to do it for him, it gives him something to do.
